Dr. James West has been practicing as an orthodontic specialist for 25 years. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then completed a general practice residency at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and an orthodontic residency at Oregon Health Sciences University.
Away from the office, Dr. West and his wife Amanda, enjoy their four teenage children and the great outdoors. Both are avid snow sport enthusiasts as well as kite surfers. They can often be found enjoying the Columbia River or hiking and camping in the backcountry.

I would like to give them more stars but their usual receptionist who is nice and friendly was absent at my son's last appointment. She was replaced by some blond woman. As I stood at the receptionist desk, she taped on her computer, never looking my way. So, I waited patiently for her to finish. When she started staring at her left hand, I knew I was purposefully being ignored. She never did acknowledge me. Not sure why. Very, very disappointing!

We have our third child in braces at Columbia Orthodontics. We love the staff and trust Dr. West. With two locations in Hermiston and Pendleton we can get in and out very quickly for appointments and if we have any emergency. Can't recommend them enough!
