Dr. Batson is excited to serve his hometown community with Columbia Healthy Smiles. A 2014 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, Dr. Batson enjoys working with the patients and staff of Columbia Healthy Smiles. He and his wife, Dr. Abe, value continuing a family tradition of providing quality oral healthcare for the citizens of central Missouri which began 40 years ago by his father.

Originally from Columbia, Mo, Dr. Batson attended Hickman High School and then the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Batson feels a deep connection to the city he has called home for most of his life. Dr. Batson, Dr. Abe, and their son love being a part of Columbias community.

Dr. Batson is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Central Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Batson currently serves as a board member and the Immediate Past-President of the Missouri Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Batson serves on multiple MDA committees and has been a delegate to the national AGD House of Delegates meeting for the past three years. Dr. Batson is also a board member for the Dental Well Being Foundation.

Growing up, Dr. Abe has always enjoyed art as well as science, which today are still two of her favorite subjects. Additionally, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career that allowed her the opportunity to promote personal health through prevention, and dentistry proved to check all of those boxes. Dentistry helps her not only blend both art and science together, but work with her hands and educate the community on important habits to maintain when it comes to their oral health.

Dr. Abe was born and raised in Honolulu, HI and graduated from Punahou School. She would eventually go on to attend the University of Hawaii for her undergraduate education and the University of Missouri in Kansas City to earn her dental degree in 2015. Afterwards, she went on to enroll at multiple institutions dedicated to continuing education in the dental field. This includes SPEAR Education in Phoenix and the Kois Center in Seattle. She regularly attends continuing education courses as well as many local and national conferences. Dr. Abe sincerely enjoys expanding her dental knowledge as she believes there is always something new to learn in the ever-expanding world of dentistry.

When Dr. Abe is not helping patients achieve a healthy smile, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She cherishes engaging conversations with her loved ones, whether they are filled with laughter or challenge her to be the best person she can be. As a family, youll find them visiting national parks, hiking, camping, and seeing the many beautiful places that Missouri and the rest of the country has to offer.

Carolyn has been part of Columbia Healthy Smiles for over 40 years! After graduating from Glasgow High School, she attended dental assisting school in Kansas City. Today, she enjoys the rewarding environment of our office and loves working closely with each wonderful patient.

MacKenzie is our newest team member, but she already loves being able to help patients overcome dental anxiety and have genuinely enjoyable visits! She actually grew up as a patient herself here at Columbia Healthy Smiles, and the team convinced her to pursue dentistry as a career. Now, she has the wonderful opportunity to work alongside them and help others in the process. She completed her Health Science Associates degree at Moberly Area Community College, followed by her dental assisting certificate at the State Technical College of Missouri. Today, she has her CDA and EFDA certifications.

MacKenzies family consists of her mother Laurie, her father Patrick, and her older brother Connor. In her free time away from the office, she enjoys weightlifting, watching movies, candle making, and being a cat mom.

Macqueleigh is originally from New Bloomfield, and shes been working in the dental world for nearly five years so far. She studied at the State Technical College of Missouri for her education. Today, she has Expanded Functions certifications and has also received advanced training in orthodontics. Outside of dentistry, she has a degree in substitute teaching as well. For her, the best part of this job by far is meeting new people and helping them enjoy their smiles again!

Becky was born and raised right here in Missouri! She completed her studies at Hannibal-LaGrange University before entering the field of dentistry over five years ago. When asked about her favorite part of her job, she shared that its interacting with her patients.

A Missouri native, Shelby completed her studies at the State Technical College of Missouri before joining our team in 2021. She has earned her nitrous certification and is currently working on her expanded functions status. When asked about her favorite part of her job, she shared that it is her amazing coworkers and how much she learns each day!

For more than two decades now, Jennifer has spent her days helping her patients improve their oral and overall health. All these years later, it continues to be her favorite aspect of her job! She attended Florissant Valley Community College before completing her studies at Forest Park Community College.

Originally from St. Louis, Jennifer is married and has three children. She loves watching her kids play sports, being active, and spending time with friends and family. One thing you may not know about her is that she has run two full marathons!

Cybill was born and raised right here in Missouri! She attended State Fair Community College before undergoing additional training in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. When asked about her favorite part of her job, she shared that it is building trust and relationships with each of her patients.

When she isnt at our office, you can most likely find her spending time with her husband and two sons. Outside of dentistry, her interests include family vacations, watching her boys activities, and game nights!

Sarah loves coming into work each day to build rapport with our patients, help them build confidence in their smiles, and educate them on the importance of oral health. Although she is originally from Oshkosh, WI, she moved around a lot growing up. She ended up completing her studies at Missouri Southern State University, and she has nearly a decade of experience in the dental field now!

Sarah is happily married to her spouse (who is currently in dental school!) and is a mother to their son, Kyler. Some of her favorite things to do outside the office are travel, visit family in Wisconsin, and kayak on the Niangua River.
