At Columbia Dentistry for Children and Capital Dentistry for Children, our friendly, dedicated, and energetic dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a positive dental experience every time you visit our practice.
I believe that children are able to do amazing things if given the right opportunities. We try to provide an environment that allows the children to do those things. Kids are honest, funny and capable.
Dr. Rob Coyle is a self-proclaimed dental nerd! He is always reading and learning more about dentistry. Along with Dr. Stine, he is a board certified pediatric dentist in the mid-Missouri region. Board certification requires testing to determine that your knowledge base is top notch, and both dentists are proud of the effort they put forth to attain this certification. Dr. Coyle also received the following certifications:
Outside the practice, Dr. Coyle loves to help people in many different ways. Most recently, Drs. Coyle and Stine along with staff members LeaAnn and Karla shaved their heads for St. Baldricks-Childhood cancer fundraiser 2010!
Dr. Maice Scott is a board certified pediatric dentist. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and obtained her DDS in 2009, where she was recognized for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry. She then completed a pediatric dental specialty residency that consisted of two-years of advanced training at Childrens Hospital Colorado in 2011. She gained expertise in advanced behavior guidance techniques, hospital dentistry, trauma and prevention. Dr. Scott grew up in Columbia and graduated from the University of Missouri in 2005. She loves doing yoga and spending time with her husband and their two young children.
Dr. Scott is proud to be part of the team at Columbia Dentistry for Children and Capital Dentistry for Children. She believes in quality care and a positive experience for each child. Dr. Scott loves chatting with her patients. She communicates well with children and is able to ease their fears with child-friendly explanations of how things work in the office. You will often find her singing the toothbrush song and checking to make sure there are no polar bears hiding on baby teeth. She loves building confidence in her patients and watching them grow to feel comfortable in the dental setting.
I value the relationships that we are fortunate enough to build within our practice and take great pride in the fact that we are trusted to take care of so many wonderful families. Oh, and the kiddo hugs at the end of the day arent half bad either!
Dr. Greg Stine believes that learning doesnt stop at dental school. His goal is to provide the most up-to-date and state-of-the-art dental care and procedures for your children. As members of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association, both Drs. Stine and Coyle take classes that shed light on the latest and greatest developments in pediatric dentistry. As board certified pediatric dentists in the mid-Missouri region, they have taken the steps to ensure their knowledge base is among the best of the best.
Upon graduation from dental school in 1999, Dr. Stine practiced as a general dentist in the United States Navy for 6 years. He has been treating children exclusively since 2005. Dr. Stine loves the opportunity to help children grow and develop self-confidence. He knows that a confident child is a happy child. Seeing a little patient come in the door with a smile on their face is his goal!

My 4 yo had dental surgery in office today, and we were very pleased with Dr. Scott, the office, the anesthesiology team, and the results! Our son needed quite a bit of work done, and the team answered all of our questions and treated our son very well, he even wet himself when he first went under, and they had his cloths washed and dried before recovery (which doesn't really matter given the seriousness of what we were there for, but made us feel as though they had thought of everything), it was quite expensive given our coverage, but I feel like we couldn't have made a better choice! Thank you!

I called the office today for my 5 year old daughter. She would have been a new patient. They advised they did not have an open appointment until January. I explained that we were having a dental emergency, she had 2 teeth growing in, and the 2 they were replacing were barely loose. The employee advised they did not have emergency appointments and asked if I had tried wiggling the teeth free. I explained again that is why it was an emergency, the two baby teeth were not loose yet. I was again told that January was the soonest appointment, maybe the teeth would fall out by then. Going down the list I called Plaza Dental 4 Kids on Keene Street. When I explained what was going on, they brought my daughter in within 2 hours. She ended up needing 2 teeth immediately removed. Not only did they get us in and out in 1.5 hours with a surgical procedure, my daughter had no idea the teeth were even pulled until we got home and I showed her. If you read this and take my advice, Dr. Dharti was our Doctor and she was amazing. I do not know how you advertise patient care first and deny a child needing minor surgery.

Our daughter was terrified of the idea of going to the dentist before we started coming to Columbia Dentistry for Children. What a cool experience they offer to children. I wish they would have had this when I was a kid.

Their manager at the time told me it was my "responsibility" to work it out with insurance, even though we provided the insurance. I spoke with Dr. Scott who said she would "take care" of the bill and we would not get bill again. Here we are....3 years later getting ANOTHER bill. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME TAKING YOUR KIDS HERE. Please go on other pages and read reviews. They have a history of not calling patients back, taking weeks to return calls, and horrible billing procedures.

Office can be challenging to find because there is construction nearby and not much signage. But the office is great, waiting room has good toys and kids shows on TV. Dr. Coyle is amazing with kids, even those with special needs. And kids get to pick prizes at the end!
