I had an appointment to get my wisdom tooth extracted with Cynthia Colson. They called me today to cancel the appointment. I waited almost 2 months for this appointment at her office on 19th Avenue. They said the reason for the cancelation was because she had an emergency patient for 1:00pm and she had to fit it in, and that because my insurance was a Medicare HMO plan they would receive more money from the other patient's insurance providers. My appointment was fo 7:45am. I don't see how it would conflict with the emergency patient's appointment for 1:00pm. She said the next available appointment would be in June!!! I waited 2 months for this appointment I'm certainly not waiting until June!! Very unprofessional!!!!!

An Outstanding Oral Surgeon! Dr. Colson and her staff provided exceptional service. The office, waiting room, and surgical area were very clean. I had Dr. Colson remove one of my wisdom teeth about ten years ago. Because of her professionalism and expertise I had her remove my other wisdom teeth on May 3, 2022. I had very little swelling and absolutely no pain. Even though Hydrocodone was prescribed for the anticipated pain, I have not had to take it. Dr. Colson is highly recommended by me.

I am disappointed in the service I received from Dr. Colson's Gilbert office. I scheduled myself for an extraction from a broken crown and after waiting for an hour and a half in the waiting area I was ushered back to find that I was there for a consultation and not an extraction. They sent me home after a quick x ray and scheduled extraction 1 week later. I was informed a member from the office would call me with a quote prior to my appointment. I never received a call with the quote during the week of waiting and was given a bill of almost $1K two minutes prior to the extraction. I am disappointed that this office charged me double the amount they charged me for an extraction in October 2019 and has yet to return any of my communications about this. Unfortunately I would not recommend based on the wait time, lack of preparation (did not request x ray from recommending dentist, did not provide quote during consultation) and lack of communication. I have emailed the office three times asking for an explanation as to why the extraction amount was doubled as well as an IB profen refill and NOTHING. Very disappointed with this business and I would not recommend.

I have been going to Dr. Colson for years and she is definitely the best oral surgeon I have ever been to. She's very honest and cares about her patients, that is a quality that is very hard to find these days.

I have been going to Dr. Colson for years and she is definitely the best oral surgeon I have ever been to. She's very honest and cares about her patients, that is a quality that is very hard to find these days.

Dr. Colson is amazing! She explained everything thoroughly without sounding condescending and gently but directly guides you through the whole procedure. She is excellent and super experienced. I got my wisdom teeth pulled (3 partially impacted and one simply extracted) and aside from asking too many questions under laughing gas before the general anesthesia knocked me out, I got no complications and have had essentially no pain at all. I wish she were just a general dentist because I would go to her happily! I highly recommend her and her staff for anyone getting their wisdom teeth out :-)

I have an extreme fear of dentistry but the time came where I couldn't put off dealing with my wisdom teeth any longer. Dr. Colson and her staff were great before, during, and after the procedure. She had a great bedside manner and did her best to help me relax by explaining what I should expect at each step. She also clearly explained my options before the procedure to let me decide what level of sedation I wanted. Just before my procedure one of her staff took the time to tell me she just had her first tooth extracted and that she was anxious about it too - that made me feel a lot better about my irrational fear. Dr. Colson did her work surprisingly quickly (I was at the office a total of 30 minutes) and effectively from what I can tell. I'm pleasantly surprised how pain-free I have been (about 10 hours post-procedure as I write this). Thanks to Dr. Colson and Staff. I hope I don't need her services again anytime soon but if I do she'll be my first choice!
