Dr. Thomas L. Stone, MD, DDS, FACS, is a board-certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon and the driving passion behind our patient-centric mission. Dr. Stone and his highly trained team provide a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures ranging from corrective jaw surgery to treatment of facial injuries and dental implants to wisdom teeth removal. The Colorado Surgical Arts team is trained to provide intravenous sedation and general anesthesia, for a safe and comfortable experience in our state-of-the-art surgery center. Dr. Stone received his dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his medical degree and oral and maxillofacial surgery certificate from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Stone completed his general surgery internship and oral surgery residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Stone has been practicing in the Denver area for more than 15 years, specializing in oral surgery and the placement of dental implants. In addition, he lectures nationally and internationally on dental implants.
Dr. Lauren E. Basile is a board-certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Connecticut and completed her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Dr. Basile has comprehensive experience in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, infections, trauma, orthognathic surgery, and both benign and malignant pathology. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesia, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Metro Denver Dental Association. Dr. Basile is a Clinical Instructor at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and maintains privileges at several Denver area hospitals.
Dr. Nicholas A. Nagaki is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Physiology. He continued his training Columbia University where he received his D.D.S. and graduated with honors in 2015.
Following dental school Dr. Nagaki completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Connecticut. During his advanced specialty training, he also completed medical school and earned his M.D. in 2018 from the University of Connecticut, as well as completing two years of general surgery training.
The training provided during his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency included the full scope of oral surgery, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, cleft and craniofacial surgery, major head and neck trauma, general anesthesia IV sedation, facial cosmetic surgery, dental implants and bone grafts, dental alveolar surgery, full arch fixed construction, all-on-four, and treatment of wisdom teeth. He will spend however much time is necessary with each patient to ensure they are comfortable and their questions are answered.
