Invisalign is the clear, undetectable alternative to wire braces. They consist of a series of invisible, removable aligners, similar to clear retainers. Not only are they easier on the eyes, but they have many other benefits, too. Some advantages of Invisalign include:

  • Theyre flexible. Although its recommended that you wear your aligners for the majority of the day, they can be removed like traditional retainers so that you can eat and drink what you want. Its also much easier to brush and floss your teeth than with wire braces.
  • Invisalign consists of clear sets of aligners that you will wear for two weeks, then switch out for a new pair. Each set of aligners will move your teeth more and more each week until they have straightened to the final position. Youll visit the office every six weeks to make sure your treatment is moving along as planned. The typical Invisalign treatment time is between 9 and 15 months.
