Dr. Anthony Schiro was born and raised in Okemos, Michigan. Growing up with an oral surgeon as a father, Dr. Schiro had his heart set on joining the dental field since a young age. As a multi-sport athlete throughout his childhood, he excelled in baseball, soccer and basketball; eventually playing on the club baseball team for the University of Michigan during his undergraduate years. Deciding to stay in Ann Arbor for another four years, Dr. Schiro attended the University of Michigan for dental school, graduating as a DDS with honors. After spending eight years in Ann Arbor, Dr. Schiro decided it was time to experience a new state and moved out east to attend the University of Connecticut for his orthodontic residency program. Throughout his three years at UConn, Dr. Schiro researched the effects of orthodontic space closure forces on archwire deflection.

Since earning his specialty degree in 2018, Dr. Schiro has worked in Louisville, KY, providing orthodontic care to both kids and adults alike. Through his active involvement in various professional organizations as well as numerous Continuing Education courses, Dr. Schiro remains current with the cutting-edge technology and procedures.

In December 2019, Dr. Schiro and his fianc, Carly (who is also an orthodontist!) moved to Denver, CO where they now call home. In his spare time, Dr. Schiro loves doing any and every outdoor activity- hiking, biking, water-skiing, snow-skiing and of course walking their yellow lab, Riggins.

Dr. Schiro truly believes orthodontics is one of the best jobs in the world! Every day he gets to work with kids during some of their formative years and help create a smile they are proud to show off. Seeing his patients beaming smiles the day braces come off makes going to work feel more like an opportunity to give back than a job.
