Hi, I'm Lori! I'm the Front Office Coordinator and the first person you see as soon as you come into our office. I love that I'm able to talk with our patients to get to know them better and create relationships. Fun fact, I'm also a Registered Dental Assistant, so you might see me assisting Dr. Hassan during your treatment from time to time. When I'm not at work, you can find me enjoying outdoor activities or hanging out with my family and my two pups!
Judy is the lead dental assistant in the office. She assists the doctor in all aspects of treatment, gathers pertinent information including vital signs and consent forms, gives post-op instructions, and keeps the clinical portion of the office running like a well-oiled machine. Judy has been working as a dental assistant since 1985 and has a wealth of knowledge in restorative dentistry, earning a Certificate of Completion for Excellence in Dentistry. Judys daily goal is to make sure that she is prepared for each and every patient down to the smallest detail. This allows the doctor to concentrate on treatment, giving the patient the personal attention they need and deserve. Judy lives in the Richmond area and enjoys binge watching shows on Netflix and working crossword puzzles.
After graduation from Del Mar College in 2004 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science and Certification in Dental Hygiene. My husband and I moved to Houston from Corpus Christi, Texas. Working in the dental field as a Dental Hygienist has given me the opportunity to meet so many people who have entrusted me with their dental needs. I am grateful for their trust in allowing me to treat not only themselves but their families as well. My husband and I have made our home in the small town of East Bernard and have been enjoying country life. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and traveling.
Dr. Amir Hassan graduated from Clements High School, and went on to attend Texas A&M University, where he obtained a bachelors of science in biology. He went on to receive his DDS degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He then completed an advanced education in general dentistry program at UCLA, where he received advanced surgical and cosmetic training. He continues to learn the latest advancements in dentistry by taking some of the best continuing education from the top educators globally. By completing over 500 hours of continuing education and passing a rigorous exam, he has obtained a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has currently completed over 1200 hours of continuing education and is pursuing associate fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Hassan is also very involved in the dental and healthcare community. He has participated in multiple Texas Missions of Mercy events, where he provided free dental care for people with limited resources. He is involved with the health board in his religious community, by completing health screenings for the elderly and providing dental care for the underserved. After 4 years of practice, he is excited to be back in his hometown to serve the Sugar Land community. His wife, Dr. Komal Jivani, is also a general dentist, and is part of the team here at Colony Dental. Dr. Hassan enjoys traveling, working out, and watching Houston and Texas A&M sports.
Dr. Komal Jivani grew up in Karachi, Pakistan, where she saw a population that engaged in harmful habits such as chewing tobacco and betel nut, which resulted in heavy brown and red staining on their teeth and even a worse consequence, oral cancer. By further volunteering in rural communities, she realized with dentistry, she could educate people about preventing disease and make a big change in peoples lives. Dr. Jivani received her Bachelors in Dental Science from the Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine in Karachi. She furthered her education in the U.S by graduating from Howard College of Dentistry. She achieved the Excellence in Endodontics Department Award, which is awarded to the student who demonstrates high level of dedication, leadership, humane attributes, and unyielding clinical excellence in the field of Endodontics. She has taken continuing education at the Duggan Institute in California and through local meetings from the Texas Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Jivani is excited to join Dr. Hassan and the team here at Colony Dental. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to beachy destinations and shopping.

Very pleased with my first meeting and cleaning appointment. On-time, friendly and professional, and great work. I'm waiting for follow-up on my referral to another oral surgeon for some specialized implant surgery and an estimate on my dental work, hopefully that will come soon.

Dr Hassan is a true professional. The hygienist is very capable. I am very pleased and confident that she is up to the task . I feel very much at ease with each visit. As always my expectations were more than met and exceeded by extra care and professional advice. Rarely would one say that a visit to the dentist can be pleasant. I was pleased again. The rating I gave was 5 Stars all along, so I don't know why Google picked up 4. To be clear Colony Dental's service and the quality of their facility definitely deserves the highest rating. My wife says the same thing where she is a patient as well.

I was the first appt of the day and the entire team from reception to hygienist to the dentist. I'm very particular on making sure that my teeth feel very smooth, and they did such a fantastic job! She was very attentive and a very high level of attention to detail when it came to making sure my teeth were clean. I'm so happy our family found them. I typically don't like to go to the dentist but the results from their craftsmanship and work ethic when it comes to service makes me wanna return every check up.
