My most rewarding part of dentistry is helping people achieve an in-depth understanding of their dental health, and empowering them to make healthy choices. My goal is to create a strong relationship of mutual trust and respect with every patient I meet, while carrying out the highest standard of care. I believe this allows patients to make the right treatment choices for themselves.

I come from a very humble Egyptian family. I completed my Bachelors in Dentistry in Cairo, Egypt, where I began my career. After immigrating to Canada, I decided to pursue my DDS program at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. Family is the most important aspect of my life, so upon graduating, I moved back to Calgary to be closer to them. There, I worked in private practice with a very skilled team and a lovely, diverse group of patients. I have enjoyed every part of my career, including the challenges and obstacles. I continue to grow and learn from my patients and colleagues.

Continuing education is important for excellence. I invest in my development through higher education courses, including bite reconstructions and cosmetic dentistry. My most recent programs including Kois and Invisalign, have broadened my skills, and allowed me to collaborate with other professionals.

I spend my time off enjoying nature, and taking my Pomeranian (Biggie) on hikes. I love cooking and trying out new recipes. I try to maintain a healthy diet, but every now and again youll catch me eating chocolate thats way too sweet! Part of moving quite often, creates the curiosity for travel. I love exploring new cultures, and meeting new people. I dedicate sometime off every year to explore a new city. I would love to hear your suggestions and must sees!

Dr. Carly Smith attended the University of South Florida before graduating from the University of Floridas School of Dentistry. After graduation, she was accepted into NYU Hospital residency program where she spent two years, the second as Chief Resident, mastering her clinical skills. She then moved on to Binghamton, New York, practicing as an Associate dentist in a group practice.

Dr. Smith enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures. She provides the highest level of patient care while keeping a light, fun, atmosphere. She is excited to meet all of her future patients and forming lifelong relationships with them!

Dr. Smith is a recent resident of the Philadelphia area and plans to make it her permanent home. She looks forward to exploring all that the Philadelphia area has to offer, and she is always open for food recommendations. On the weekend you would most likely see her at a concert or traveling to NYC to catch a good Broadway show!
