We were advised of 100% coverage, but found out after the fact that we were out of network and needed to pay the difference. I believe this is extremely underhanded of their team to lie to us to get us in the door, then stick us with the bill after the fact. Extremely unprofessional

This review has little to do with Dr. Rose, but more with the practice itself and their ethical policies. I am FURIOUS with the way this office finagled me out of money- especially during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC in which our economy is suffering and our family is hurting. I made my daughter's first dentist appointment for right after she turned 2 years old in March- obviously it was pushed back twice because of the pandemic. It was also rescheduled in July because the office had to close for an emergency. So finally on July 15, we went in for our 9 a.m. appointment. This means that I had spoken to the office on more than four occasions. When I was researching different pediatric dentists in the area, I called and asked each which was in my insurance's network, because anyone who has ever had to deal with out-of-network practices know the frustration! The receptionist from the initial call told me yes, they accept my insurance. On the day of my appointment, they reiterated that yes, they accept my insurance but I just have to pay up front and I'll be swiftly reimbursed by the insurance company. The 10-15 minute appointment cost me out of pocket $240 (no x-rays-- just looking in and cleaning my 2-year old's mouth.) I received my reimbursement check a few days later for about $100 of the amount I paid. Because the receptionists never told me their office was out-of-network. When I called and spoke to the front desk, the woman assured me that they DO in fact take my insurance, but their office is still out of network. This means that my insurance doesn't work with this office's fee schedule for services. THIS is the information that they need to tell customers up front! The fact that they did not reveal this information prior to me calling and complaining about the money I spent is dishonest, frustrating, and poor business practice. They will do nothing to help rectify the situation. So my family is out $140 for a 15 MINUTE APPOINTMENT TO LOOK IN A TWO-YEAR OLD'S MOUTH because their front desk staff ineptly delivered deceitful information to get customers in the door. I am so hurt and angry by their practices.

Dr. Allison and her staff are amazing! Recently my daughter needed to come in for an unexpected non routine visit. They got her in right away and put her at ease as soon as she walked in the door. Can't say enough about Collegeville Pediatric Dentistry! Highly recommend them!

I have taken my two sons to Collegeville Pediatric Dentistry for the past several years. Both boys are happy to have their appointments with Dr. Allison. She is gentle, calm, and fun. My older son has had a tooth pulled and a few cavities filled, and he has always felt comfortable. I really like that Dr. Weiss' (orthodontist) office is connected - it has been convenient for us on more than one occasion. During the shut-down, the Collegeville Pediatric Dentistry office communicated regularly via email to keep patients and their families up to date. They modified their waiting room and other practices to keep their little patients and their families safe. I have recommended this practice to several other families over the years and will continue to do so.

This experience was very disappointing. The one star is for the staff.... EXCEPT THE DENTIST. She should NOT be in Peds, she doesn't know how to talk to children or parents. My child was 3 months behind on a cleaning because his prior dentist stopped taking my insurance. I found this office and was excited and walked in very positive. That all changed when the dentist walked in. My child isn't terrified of the dentist but he doesn't like going. So, he was crying and turned his back on her. He wasn't hitting or kicking or anything of that nature. She said to him and the Oscar goes to...... and she put me down several times in front of my child and for other patients and families to hear. She told me I set her up to fail bc I took my child out of daycare in the middle of the day as he was finishing up his nap time (he had 10 mins left and was half awake when I got there. I am also a single parent who works full time and doesn't live off of the government. She DEMANDED I am only "allowed" to bring him in the morning. She told me IN FRONT of my child he has 2 cavities brewing. That was when my child really got upset and she said why are you getting upset and I said well, you said the C word and she says how does he know what that is !?! Ummm hello!!!! He is almost 5 and doesn't almost every parent tell their kids if they don't brush they will get cavities. She rolled her eyes several times at me. She was short and agitated with me and my child and I was so disgusted when I left. She said due to my child's behavior he will not get any xrays today BUT I really need them bc his teeth are close together. She is delaying my child's care because he was crying. He wasn't hitting or kicking JUST CRYING but he would have stopped if she put in some time and effort but she is just lazy. When I went to calm my child down she was angry and stopped me and said LET ME DO IT LET ME DO IT !!!!!!! She made me feel like a horrible parent because my child is at the start of 2 cavities, like I committed a moral sin and trust me I was already beating myself up about it. THAT IS NOT WHAT A PEDS DENTIST IS THERE TO DO. SHE IS LUCKY I DON'T REPORT HER AND I STILL MIGHT. For now what I choose to do is focus my time and energy on getting my child's cavities fixed and up to date xrays like she was supposed to do.

My daughter had her tooth pulled here. They could not have been more helpful with scheduling or more gentle with my scared little girl. When we were driving home she proudly told me that "it didn't hurt at all!". Brief experience, but very highly recommend.

Wish there was an option for 0 stars. What HORRIBLE business to REFUSE to schedule dental appointments outside of 8:30am-12:30pm. Further, this rule was randomly instated for my daughter after she's already an established patient. She is in SCHOOL and I WORK like other normal people. I am not pulling my child out of kindergarten to go to the dentist. I will gladly and happily take my business elsewhere.

Love this place!! Took my son for his 1st ever dentist appointment, everyone was so friendly and most importantly great with kids. Dr. Allison was fantastic and took the time to answer all of my questions. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone with kids.
