MUSC Health, the clinical enterprise of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), is dedicated to the pursuit of changing whats possible in health care. Nationally recognized for its innovation, patient, and family-centered care, and quality outcomes, this integrated health care system is accessible at the downtown Charleston campus and through more than 100 outreach locations, clinical affiliations with numerous health care partners, and a robust telehealth network. MUSC Health sees more than one million patient encounters annually, and its specialized care teams consistently rank among the best in the country. MUSC Health delivers transformational care shaped by world-class clinicians, health scientists, and educators who provide leading-edge care, while developing the next generation of innovative health care leaders.

MUSC Medical Center is a key component of MUSC Health. This premier health sciences center is at the forefront of the latest advances in medicine and includes South Carolinas #1 and most preferred hospital (as ranked by U.S. News & World Report on its Best Hospitals 2018-2019 list and the National Research Corporation respectively), a NCI-designated Cancer Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and South Carolinas only nationally recognized childrens hospital.

It works with insurers and governmental programs in the areas of accountable care, patient-centered medical homes, and value-based care. Sophisticated clinical programs and analytics required under those concepts would be out of reach for many of the participants without the scope of the Alliance.

Committed to care models that improve patient experience and achieve optimal patient outcomes, these comprehensive care teams are led byphysician chiefsand are charged with providing patients the most innovative, efficient, and effective subspecialized care.

To honor MUSC Healths mission of preserving and optimizing human life in South Carolina and beyond through education, research and patient care, the vision for the MUSC Health Affiliate Network states:

MUSC Health, the clinical enterprise of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), is dedicated to the pursuit of changing whats possible in health care. Nationally recognized for its innovation, patient, and family-centered care, and quality outcomes, this integrated health care system is accessible at the downtown Charleston campus, the Regional Health Network and more than 100 outreach locations, clinical affiliations with numerous health care partners, and a robust Telehealth Network.

  • Affiliate relationships will be coordinated by a dedicated relationship manager. Integrated Centers of Clinical Excellence (ICCE) Chiefs (MUSCs physician service line leaders) will be accountable for the delivery of all clinical services.
  • We view each collaboration with an affiliate as an opportunity to find the best ways of providing health care services through partnership and innovation. Collaboration with our clinical affiliates includes, but is not limited to, the following:

The MUSC College of Medicine is eager to explore partnerships in clinical education with qualified health care entities. The co-development of designated teaching hospitals and clinical preceptors results in long term benefits to the facility and the community it serves including improving quality of care and creating a pipeline of talented early career healthcare team members a particularly welcome asset in light of increasing health care demands. Affiliate providers also benefit from continuing medical education, participation in grand rounds and ongoing consults.

AnMed Health and the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine have partnered to create an innovative Clinical Education Program at AnMed Health for medical students. Through the partnership, selected third- and fourth-year MUSC students will complete their final two years of education at AnMed Health in a curriculum designed to emphasize patient-centered primary care. Expanding medical education opportunities for students interested in primary care can improve access to care in South Carolina.

In collaboration with Tidelands Health, MUSCs College of Medicines Department of Family Medicine assisted with the establishment of an ACGME certified postdoctoral program for the education of family medicine residents. The Tidelands Health MUSC Family Medicine Residency Program is a new, innovative, community-based unopposed residency program with eight residents each year.

Stay away from this place. They are more expensive than alot of other dentists and they will take 3 times longer to do the work. They did more harm to my teeth then the work I went for.

I called to ask for a price on a crown. I was told I need to come in and complete a new patient exam before any price could be given. Thats absurd! I know the price is likely to be cheaper than my family dentist but after this experience I refuse to give MUSC the opportunity to earn my business. Has anyone here gotten a crown? About how much does MUSC charge? My local family practice has quoted me $980

Fantastic experience--Patient care was phenomenal, as Johnathan and his assistant made me feel more at ease than any appointment I've had at a traditional dentist's office!

My deaf daughter had an emergency with an abcess and a wisdom tooth that was giving her great pain , so she walked in to the EMERGENCY dental clinic and was turned away because as a deaf person she needs to make prior arrangements for an interpreter. She explained that she would write, or text in order to communicate with the staggering but she was in great pain and they still told her to go home and Make an appointment. She would rather find a different facility because she feels she was discriminated against because she is deaf.

Went in very nervous and anxious, the students were very professional and will definitely go again for an extraction. 83$ was fantastic since i have no insurance.

One of the best kept secrets of the lowcountry. Regular dentists know that you were treated by a student when they see the quality of the work.

I have 0 experiences with this actual place but I did call today to try and find out what I had to do to be seen, spoke with 1 girl who was extremely rude and told me I had to listen to the recording witch was FINE.. until I got disconnected from the recording and called back and when I explained to her that I was disconnected she said that's fine I can just tell you I said ok thank you because that's kind of a lot from a recording and she responds with well it's a lot for me to say as well so tune in...... wow. Heaven forbid you have any extra questions about the recording and I hope you get someone that isnt rude on the phone.
