Dr. Mark Swensen graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2007 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Finishing in the top 5% of his class, he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Before attending dental school, Dr. Swensen earned a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Utah State University, graduating cum laude. Following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, which incorporated advanced training in all phases of general dentistry, including implant dentistry, oral surgery, complex restorative dentistry, and aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Swensen is committed to changing lives by providing comprehensive dental care at the highest level. He constantly furthers his knowledge in dentistry by investing in the highest quality continuing education from world-renowned clinicians, far exceeding the minimum continuing education requirements. As a member of several study clubs, Dr. Swensen collaborates regularly with local specialists, emphasizing an interdisciplinary, team approach to treat complex dental problems. In July 2013, Dr. Swensen was inducted as a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, after completing 500 hours of continuing education and passing a comprehensive examination. He is currently a member of the Faculty Club at Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ. Additionally, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, the Southern Willamette Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.When he is away from the office, Dr. Swensen enjoys spending time his wife, Lindsey, their four children: Macy, twins Karlee and Nicholas, Logan; and their dog, Penny. Dr. Swensen enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, golf, cycling, and college sports.
Dr. Haslam grew up in Philomath, Oregon and attended Oregon State University, graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. He then attended dental school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland where he held various leadership roles, including serving as president of the student dental association. Dr. Haslam is a member of The Oregon Dental Association, American Dental Association and The Southern Willamette Dental Society.

Sandy is the manager of North Point Dental Group. She has worked in the dental field in Corvallis for over 20 years, joining NPDG in 2012. She feels so fortunate to work with such outstanding people, in a very happy and healthy environment. Her primary role in the practice is to support the doctors and staff in providing excellent patient care. Outside of the practice, Sandy enjoys stand up paddle boarding, hiking, mountain biking and playing disc golf with her husband Tom and their crazy Westie, Henry (aka Hank The Tank). She is also an avid college sports fan, and considers herself a Beaverine half OSU Beaver and half Michigan Wolverine.
Trudy is our financial coordinator. She was born and raised in Eastern Oregon. Therefore, she is a Beaver and Duck fan, except for the Civil War, and then its Go Beavs! She has 46 years of experience in the dental field, 37 of which have been in our office. She received her Expanded Function Dental Assistant certification from Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Oregon. Trudy and her husband have two children, and four grandchildren and an Aussie named Jetta. They enjoy spending time with family and friends and the great outdoors, along with sports and traveling to tropical islands.
She is a native Oregonian, born and raised in the Philomath area. She and her husband, Brian, are parents to grown daughters, Meghan and Heather, and a sweet little dog named Bodie. In her free time, Dani enjoys attending the local high school sporting events, photography, scrapbooking, camping, and girls trips with her daughters and friends.
Kong is one of our treatment coordinators. She began her career here with Dr. Balkins, when she graduated from the LBCC Dental Assisting Program in 1997. After working in the orthodontic field for several years, she is finally back home at North Point Dental Group! Kong loves cooking, baking, attending area festivals, hiking the Northwest hills with her husband Tom, and their two furry kids, Oscar and Lucy.
Tammy grew up in Idaho but has lived in the Corvallis area for 30 years and considers herself an Oregonian. She and her husband Mike live in Philomath where they raised two sons and one fluffy dog. She enjoys spending time with family and friends watching sports, GO BEAVS!, hiking, biking, and traveling.
Lisa grew up in Grants Pass Oregon, and attended The University of Oregon for two years as a Health/Pre-Dental Hygiene major. She finished her degree in Dental Hygiene at Lane Community College, graduating with honors in 1985. Lisa lives in Corvallis with her husband Ed. Her sons, Aaron and Noah, are both finishing their under graduate degrees at OSU. She enjoys reading, kayaking, rock collecting, chocolate, staying active with her friends, hiking (especially in Peavy Arboretum), and running or fast-walking half marathons.
Belinda completed her dental hygiene degree in Bethlehem, PA, and has been investing in the Corvallis Community as a dental hygienist for over 30 years. She is passionate about making quality preventative dental care accessible to all.
Lisa is one of the dental hygienists on staff at North Point Dental Group, LLC. She began her career in 1985 after graduating from the LBCC Dental Assisting Program. Lisa worked in general dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics before pursuing a degree in dental hygiene. She graduated from the LCC Dental Hygiene Program in 2008 with honors. She enjoys working on the North Point Dental Group, LLC staff and strives to provide optimum dental care to each of her patients. Lisa lives in Philomath with her husband John. She enjoys traveling, camping, swimming, hiking, and reading.
Susan has been a valued employee of North Point Dental Group since 2000. She was born and raised in Hawaii, and it is her favorite place to visit. Susans three grown children, Rachel, Grant and Luke are a very important part of her life, along with her son-in-law Dave, and grandson Makoa.
Brandi is a native Oregonian, born in Salem, and grew up in the Willamette Valley. She and her husband Travis love being with their friends and family, camping and spending time at our area lakes with their two sons, Emery and Westen.
Hannah grew up in Philomath, and graduated from the Linn Benton Community College Dental Assisting Program. She was married in February 2021, and she and her husband, Kyler recently welcomed Bodhi, a dachshund puppy, into the family.Hannah loves the outdoors, where she spends her free time hiking, inline skating, and playing with Bodhi at the park.
Jessica grew up in Albany, graduating from West Albany High School, and then went on to the LBCC Dental Assisting Program. She enjoys wake boarding and tubing at the lake. She also loves the fall season and just hanging out and laughing with her friends and family.
Rachel joined NPDG in 2019, and quickly became an important member of our team. One of her best qualities is her natural ability to help our patients feel comfortable and confident in our practice. She grew up in Albany, graduated from Santiam Christian, and then completed the dental assisting program at Linn-Benton Community College.

Dr. Haslam and his staff are very professional, personable, and very helpful in all aspects of the dentist visit. I've only been going to College Hill Dental for a few months, but I will definitely be going there for a long time.

sandy and hannah were wonderful, and Dr. Haslem was encouraging, informative, and thoughtful. he and his team hoho for their patients to have healthy teeth for their entire lives, and i appreciated his motivational pep talk a lot - im already working harder on my tooth care!

Absolutely fantastic. I was having issues with a wisdom tooth that was causing some discomfort, and after my old dentist rescheduled multiple times, I decided to go elsewhere. They got me scheduled for both my exam, and a cleaning in the same visit. Dr. Haslam was great, and after my x Ray's, and taking a look he determined he could pull my problem tooth. He got it out in minutes, with no pain to me. He was concerned about my comfort, and made sure I had the best experience possible. Everyone was super nice, I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the staff here. They are always so friendly and take such good care of their patients. I struggle being super busy at my job and they are always so great about workinf around my schedule and calling to remind me about appointments. I spent a lot of time over the last year here getting some major dental work done and they always made sure I was comfortable and happy with the results. I cannot say enough positive things about College Hill Dental Group.

Two days ago, I fell off my bike and I chipped both of my front teeth and one another tooth around 10 AM. Half of my front teeth were broken. I was sent to health center of OSU. The condition of my teeth also scared nurses and doctors. I was really desperate. I could not bite anything because they hurt and I will have a family trip really soon, I really did not want them to see me like that. I called lots of dental clinics in Corvallis, and told them what happened to me, but they just could not make an appointment for me soon. Fortunately, I found College Hill Dental Group on Google. After I told them what happened to me, and my teeth really hurt, they agreed to make an appointment for me in the same day at 3:20pm. And they also carefully helped me to call the insurance company to make sure if they accept my insurance. FIY, if you are OSU student, especially I am an International student and have paid OSU mandatory student insurance, you are welcome to see a dentist here. I was also nervous and anxious if they can fix my teeth before the trip. In my country, it will probably take a week or more time to fix them. But Dr. Haslam was excellent at his job. He only spent around one and half hour to carefully fix three broken teeth as if there was nothing happened to them. I was the last patient that day, after I filled out the forms and did the Xray examination (also includes in insurance), it was probably 4PM, which they are usually closed at that time. I thought that I probably had no chance to have my teeth fixed. But Dr. Haslam, Hana and Dani chose to stay to repair my teeth. They are really friendly. Even though I was still in shock because of the accident, they were still able to comfort me and make me calm. When I asked Dr. Haslam if he could fix my teeth, he said that he only needed a picture while I was smiling before. I just showed him a picture, and he repaired them in really close color and shapes. While Dr. Haslam and Hana were working on my teeth, they also played some music and it really helped me to relax. They also cared about my feeling all the time, and when they fixed one of the three teeth, they would let me take a look in the mirror and work on the next one. It was really thoughtful because it was important to let me feel confident on what they were doing. I had no pain and feel relaxed in the whole process. After lying around one and half hour, my teeth just came back. I think Dr. Haslam is a magician. I think it was really a miracle to have my teeth back in such short time and have no pain. I finally could smile again without a fear. He also revised my teeth in patient when I told him that I have little weird feeling of them. He fixed my teeth until I feel really good. He was building my teeth like an art work. It was amazing that a dentist did care a lot of your teeth. I felt respected even in a horrible look. I could bite soft things in the same day at 6 PM. And after a day, I can use them like normal teeth. When I came back to health center in OSU yesterday, the doctor and the nurse were surprised and they also said that your dentist really did his great job in such short time. And my family in my country and a friend in Japan were also surprised that the dentist in the US is fantastic. Even though I had a horrible accident to start a day, but it ended up well. I were even able to have a big exam in the next day. I appreciate all the effort Dr. Haslam and all staff in College Hill Dental Group have made. They really saved the crisis for me. They are the best dentist team I have ever seen.

College Hill Dental group is truly the best dentist I've ever been to! I have a lot of anxiety about my teeth, but from the moment I came in this office did everything they could to put me at ease. I finally feel like I have the support I need to get the smile I've always wanted, and it's all due to College Hill Dental!

Might just be the best dentist I've ever had! My previous dentist who was great, left town and the person who took over his practice wasn't a good match for me. Meeting Dr. Haslam was at first a bit concerning as he's pretty young but... turns out, with him it's an advantage! With a relatively new practice, I found him going the extra mile to carefully explain the procedures and options - He spent a great deal of time with me and it was obvious he would do his best - because that's who he is and growing his business properly demands it. I recommend him most highly and his staff shares his customer-centered values. Ding ding ding... We have a winner!
