An Escondido native, Jewel studied at Pacific College for her education. Today, shes been a part of the healthcare field for over two full decades so far. Her favorite part of her role here is getting to work for such an amazing boss!
Jewel has three wonderful children and four amazing grandchildren. Her biggest hobby outside of the office is traveling. She has a degree in Ethnic Studies and always enjoys meeting people from diverse backgrounds, which is why shes visited several countries so far with hopefully many more to come.
Annie is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with roughly 13 years of experience in the world of dentistry. Helping patients with pain relief, dental anxiety, and smile transformations is extremely rewarding for her. In fact, she feels very blessed to have been gifted with a career that has shown her complete transformations in the confidence and personalities of her patients.
Annies family consists of the worlds funniest son and the best village of supporting friends and family. Outside of dentistry, her interests include paddle boarding, longboarding, biking, hiking, fishing, and camping.
Dr. Paskalev prides himself on his broad experience in dentistry. 'Throughout my career, I have worked as a dentist in three different countries and also as a dental technician, hygienist, and assistant.'
He most enjoys working with people of all different ages and backgrounds, as well as the diversity of challenges involved in each case. Dr. Paskalev works with each patient as a team to provide preventive care solutions for optimal oral health. His goal is to maintain healthy teeth and treat oral disease to resolve existing and prevent future problems. 'I try to find the least-invasive action that will provide the longest term solution,' he says.
Dr. Paskalev studied Dentistry at the Medical UniversitySofia in his native Bulgaria. Not long after completion, he moved to the US and earned his second dental degree from Tufts University in Boston, graduating third in his class. The same year he relocated to Eugene, drawn by all it has to offer. In 201415 he moved to Cambridge, UK, where his wife attended university and worked for the NHS. However, he is happy to be back in Oregon. 'It feels like home,' he smiles.
An active member of the Oregon Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Lane County Dental Association, Dr. Paskalev is always looking to learn about and contribute to the advancement of dentistry worldwide. He is also now a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is the current president of the Lane County Dental Society! He also enjoys volunteering with the Tooth Taxi, a mobile clinic serving the children in rural communities and the South Lane Children's Dental Clinic.
