Dr. Brian Carter is a Colorado native, born right here in Fort Collins, and spent most of his childhood in Loveland. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle before obtaining his DDS from the University of Maryland at Baltimore, the worlds first dental school. Upon graduation, he came back home to Colorado to complete a one-year residency at Denver Health Medical Center in 1998.
Dr. Carter enjoys and is proficient in all phases of general dentistry, including implant restoration. He believes your treatment is unique to you, not one size fits all, and looks forward to working with you to find the best solution.
Her goal is to provide excellent dental treatment in a caring manner, while ensuring patients are educated on their oral health in a way they can understand. She enjoys getting to know each of her patients and is happy to answer for questions and concerns over the phone between office visits. Having a young daughter at home, a husband, and two elderly cats, keeps her busy on the weekends. She enjoys movies, books, snowboarding, and hiking.
Carri began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1999 and has been practicing as a licensed Dental Hygienist since 2008. She takes pride in getting to know her patients individual needs, while providing quality care with a gentle touch.Carri loves spending time with her husband and three children enjoying the outdoors. Shes also an avid animal lover and gardener.
College Avenue Modern Dental is conveniently located on South College Avenue in Fort Collins, CO. Our parking lot is also accessible from South Mason Street, near the intersection with W Horsetooth Road. We are close to the Safeway, Pet City, and Chick-Fil-A.

My first visit to College Ave Modern Dental, I was traveling here from out of state. Called in with an emergency, an hour later they rearranged their schedule to accommodate me. As College Ave Modern Dental opened a few months ago, it was my first visit here, and I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed it! The facility was nicely decorated and very clean, and they are using modern cutting-edge technology as all of the x-rays are digital. The staff at College Avenue Modern dental is friendly, and for a few years we felt that our family dental needs were being addressed here. However, after the main dentist left to join another team elsewhere during the pandemic, the staff covered the cleanings without a dentist until he was replaced. (Still charging for these visits as if they were being overseen by a doctor.) The fees stayed the same, and they started to charge $50 for adjusting tentative future appointments (even those made 6 months in advance for the next cleaning.) We recently asked to come in for some advice on a dental concern, and the only help that was offered was a quick referral elsewhere. The bulk of the staff is new; seemingly not aware of how to use the billing system, access patient files, or how to operate x-ray machines (they took a recent picture, couldn't find the file, had to do it all over again.) The overall feeling of this office is that it is being run by someone who is in it for profit, and may not be trained as a dentist themselves. My current impression is that this office doesn't have any desire to provide quality (and long term) care to my family, and we will be going elsewhere; effective immediately.

Everyone I spoke to was really friendly. My hygienist, Jaden, was amazing - very easy to talk to, not judgemental, and explained everything really clearly. I appreciated having the price of treatment explained upfront before I made any decisions.

Everyone at College Ave Modern Dental is super- friendly and takes the time to really get to know you as a patient. Not only are they empathetic, consummate professionals, it just so happens they do really great work, too! As for the office itself, the environment is always clean and comfortable. I have to say that after finding them, not only do I not hate going to the dentist anymore, I actually look forward to it! They've honestly helped me get my dental health back on track and for that I'm truly grateful.

I've changed dentists 5 times over the last few years. I was very impressed with this practice. The exam was very thorough, and they really took the time needed when it came to documenting the exam and cleaning my teeth. Jessica was amazing. Highly recommended.

The service was great however the billing practices are poor. My son had a visit in December 2021 and insurance paid the same month. 6 months later I'm still getting bills for a balance I have already paid, overpaid in fact since I thought I owed the balance. I've called twice to discuss my bill, each time I was told someone from the billing office would call me back, I still have not received a call back. I just received a postcard from them reminding me that it's time for another visit, there's no way I'll take my son there again.
