Dr. Kevin was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, and attended Montgomery Blair High School. He is a proud Marylander - he went to the University of Maryland, College Park, then graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland Dental School. He then completed an advanced training residency program at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Hospital prior to working in private practice. He has received several awards such as the American College of Prosthodontics Achievement Award, Dean's Award for Community Service and was selected to be in the OKU Honor Society.Dr. Kevin worked in private practice near Frederick, MD for the past 5 years before joining Colesville Dentistry. He has extensive experience with dental specialties including implant surgery and restoration, root canals, oral surgery including wisdom teeth, crown & bridge, and Invisalign.He is a man of faith and is passionate about improving the lives of others and making an impact in the community. His core mission is to make every patient as comfortable as possible while providing high quality and ethical dental care.Outside of work, Dr. Kevin is a proud husband and committed father. He and his wife Joy have 3 young children named Evelyn, Madelyn and Isaac who are 3, 2, and 1 years old! (left to right in photo) He also enjoys playing tennis and basketball, snowboarding, traveling, spending time around the bonfire and rooting for all Washington D.C. sports teams.

Switched to the Colesville Dentistry this year. The staff were super friendly especially Candice and Dr. Kevin! I usually get anxiety from the dentist but the Colesville Dentistry creates a warm experience especially for first time patients. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a new dentist!

One never goes to the dentist to get pampered, but it does make a huge difference to get pampered when having to sit still for an hour+ with an open mouth. Everything, from the moment I walked in the clinic was designed to make my visit an enjoyable experience. The staff was courteous, the dentist super relatable, the setting tastefully decorated for the season and the process was clearly explained. Might I add, the screen on the wall was a welcomed distraction, which I playfully dubbed "the bribe". I HIGHLY recommend this clinic to all kids from ages 2 to 92 .

I love my new smile. The recent crowns on my lower jaw front teeth look beautiful. Dr. Kevin Chai and his dental assistant Taylor were very gentle taking care of me. Yesterday I had my 6 month teeth cleaning and floride treatment with friendly Dental Hygienist Laurie. I highly recommend Colesville Dentistry for excellent care of your teeth.

I went in for the first time, recently, after not having been to a dentist since the early 90's. The entire staff was extremely nice & made sure I got the care I needed. Not once did I feel like they were focus on rushing anything to get the next patient in & out either. They were very thorough & made sure I understood anything they were doing & the results. Their patients are definitely in good hands here!

I had a great experience at Colesville Dentistry. My longtime dentist of over 30 years recently closed and I was nervous to try out a new practice, but I really loved my experience here. Everyone was so friendly from the check-in experience, hygienist experience, and I was able to meet both dentists! The equipment they have there is state of the art and everything felt so clean. Super organized office with so many personal touches. I'm looking forward to continuing with them for all my dentistry needs in the future!
