Dr. Coleman is a Chattanooga native who always dreamed of opening a practice in his hometown. Dr. Coleman graduated from Tyner High School and studied Biomedical Engineering at UTK and UTC. He received his Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, graduating with honors.

After dental school, Dr. Coleman completed his residency at the Medical College of Georgia then earned a Masters in Science from Loma Linda University in California. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Chattanooga Area Dental Society, Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, and Tennessee Dental Association.

Experts recommend that children get an orthodontic check-up no later than age seven. By then, children usually have a mix of adult and baby teeth. At this stage, orthodontists can begin to evaluate for potential problems with the emerging teeth or jaw development.
