After graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry and passing the licensing exams of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, Dr. Lawrence D. Thompson moved to Coleman, TX in 1979 with his wife, Patsy, where he began his dental career as an associate of Dr. A.O. Brink.
He acquired the practice of Dr. Brink in 1981 and has practiced at this same location since then. He and Patsy have three children who have all graduated from college and are pursuing their own careers.
Dr. Thompson has been a member of the 17th District Dental Society (Abilene, TX), the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association for over 38 years. He has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry for over 32 years.
Becoming an AGD Master requires passing a rigorous all-day exam at the Fellowship level and completing over 1,100 hours of continuing education in all the various disciplines of dentistry. There are only about 2,591 active AGD Masters throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Keep getting emails to rate you guys all I gotta say is Texas does not care about people. Does not care about peoples health, all they want is the money. I made an appointment to get my wisdom teeth REMOVED because they are hurting and pretty much all the way in. It was most definitely time to take em out. But you guys wanted me to come pay over $200 to come in for a check up. When I do not need a check up I need my teeth removed. You guys were trying every and anything to get me to come in for a little checkup but not for u to remove my wisdom teeth, just so you guys could get a run of my money. Weird business with weird intentions, hospitals, dentists, all of the healthcare in Texas is horrible. Don't nobody care about you for real, they only want that check.

Teeth destroyer. They skip over bad teeth and ruin your good teeth so you'll have more problems. Overfill your good teeth with unnecessary fillings. You cannot fix the teeth you've ruined.

Dr. Thompson and his staff are amazing. I have a tiny fear of dentists/Dr. But feel very comfortable with his level of care and expertise. Won't use any other dentist and I highly recommend him to others when the opportunity comes up. Thank You for making me feel at ease.

I have a fear of dentists and have had a bad experience with dentists hurting me. Dr. Thompson is THE BEST in the state. He is passionate and knows his profession. He has never hurt me!! I will NEVER go to another dentist except for him!! He's the BEST!!
