After graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry and passing the licensing exams of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, Dr. Lawrence D. Thompson moved to Coleman, TX in 1979 with his wife, Patsy, where he began his dental career as an associate of Dr. A.O. Brink.
He acquired the practice of Dr. Brink in 1981 and has practiced at this same location since then. He and Patsy have three children who have all graduated from college and are pursuing their own careers.
Dr. Thompson has been a member of the 17th District Dental Society (Abilene, TX), the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association for over 38 years. He has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry for over 32 years.
Becoming an AGD Master requires passing a rigorous all-day exam at the Fellowship level and completing over 1,100 hours of continuing education in all the various disciplines of dentistry. There are only about 2,591 active AGD Masters throughout the U.S. and Canada.
