Marty Zase was a disc jockey for eight years before becoming a dentist and is an instrument rated pilot. He is a diehard Red Sox fan, an avid reader, a not quite adequate golfer, and a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute, Starfleet Academy, and the Landmark Education Forum and Curriculum for Living. Dr. Zase received a B.A. from Boston University and his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. A former clinical instructor in restorative dentistry at Tufts, he is guest lecturer in cosmetic dentistry at the University of Connecticut, Nova Southeastern, New York University, and Louisiana State University Dental Schools. He has published over sixty dental articles, has served on the editorial or review boards of The Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, Contemporary Esthetics, and General Dentistry magazines, and lectures internationally on cosmetic dentistry.
He is one of only a dozen dentists in the world to have both a Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry and an Accreditation in Cosmetics from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He practices in the Colchester Dental Group and is the only dentist in the greater Hartford area Accredited by the AACD. He was the 2006-2007 President of the AACD, the largest cosmetic dentistry organization in the world. He serves on the AACD Board of Accreditation Examiners and mentors Accreditation candidates. At the AACD, he was one of the developers of both the University Advisory Council and the Private Education Advisory Council to help spread the teaching of cosmetic dentistry to dental students at all stages of their careers. He is the President of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
He has developed numerous techniques and instruments that are currently used in modern cosmetic dentistry. He has taken advanced training in oral conscious sedation to provide dentistry with the absolute minimal of patient discomfort. He was inducted into the Dental Hall of Fame by the genR8TNext Internet dental community (now the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics) in acknowledgement of his contributions to dental education. For his contributions to dentistry and dental education, he has also been granted fellowships in the American College of Dentists (FACD), the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics (FADFE). Dr. Zase was given the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition award by the Academy of General Dentistry and has just been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Marty Zase, of the Colchester Dental Group, was just awarded a Fellowship in the International Academy of Dento-Facial Esthetics. The IADFE is an honorary organization of dentists and physicians around the world who have shown expertise in the treatment and reconstruction of cosmetic problems of the mouth and surrounding structures.

I had Julie and Doctor Sheth, and they gave me two fillings. Very friendly and precise! They did a great job, the whole procedure was painless. They did a great job numbing me up, I didn't even realize they were injecting the Novocaine

I have been going to Colchester Dental Group, seeing Dr. Martin Zase for many years, he is kind and caring and always seeks to make you comfortable and for your teeth to look their best with no pressure, just the facts. His expertise shows with every visit. The staff are all friendly and caring and professional. This is the best place for dentistry!

I have been going to Colchester Dental for some time now but this is the first time I have written a review. I was a little nervous for my filling today but Dr. S and BARBARA made me feel so comfortable and at ease. It was over before I knew it and completely pain-free. The entire staff there remembers you and treats you like family every time you walk through the door. Sue always asks about my kids, everyone up front chats with me about my day and the doctors make you feel important, instead of just another patient. Thanks as always for a great experience!

I highly recommend Colchester Dental Group more than a simple 5 stars. The care and time they have given to me as a patient is unmatched to any dental office I have been to. My experiences have been as painless and sincere as possible with both Dr. Sheth and Barbara. You can tell they care from the moment you step in, giving you the personal attention needed. I am happy to have such a friendly and efficient place nearby for my dental needs and care!

Radhee Sheth and Barbara Weaver have great "chairside" manner, and they obviously take a huge amount of pride in their work. It's well deserved too, the teeth they've worked on look great. To top it all off, I'm uninsured and Dr. Sheth helped save me from a costly Root Canal on one of my teeth.

I had to have cosmetic work done on a front tooth replacement and it was PERFECT! The shade of the tooth matches the others flawlessly. I loved that Dr Sheth is a female dentist - so relatable and easy personality. Barbara the dental assistant helped in making the whole process stress free and painless. Thank you both!

Just had an excellent experience with Dr. Sheth and Barbara at Colchester Dental Group in Colchester, CT. I received a crown with no pain or after affects after the procaine wore off. I really appreciated Dr. Sheth's painless crown prep, applied with skill. A great team at Colchester Dental Group from the front desk team to the dental hygienists to the doctors, all providing kindness and skilled cosmetic and preventive dental care. Thank you all!

I just wanted to share my experience with Dr. Zase and his team. I went to see him for a consultation for a cosmetic contour. He was the first to validate my concerns. I previously had a traumatizing experience with another provider of Invisalign. During the removal process many of my teeth were very scratched up with dings. It really turned into a nightmare for me. It should not have happened. Dr. Zase assured me that things will look much better after this procedure. I just couldn't imagine that they would look this good. I'm so happy that I can finally put this behind me. He really is an expert at his art. Something that seemed so impossible to me was so easy for him to remedy. Thank you, I really appreciate your help.

If your shopping for a Dentist Look no further! I have been with the Colchester Dental Group for years they have just added a new Dentist Radhee Sheth she is wonderful just had a pain free filling in the front part of my tooth she matched the color perfectly. Cosmetic Dentistry is amazing! Plus side she is very energetic and funny She is the best Dentist ever Saved me Money as well doing two fillings side by side at the same time! Let me start off by saying I have the worst dental phobia, ever. Worse than anyone I know. I decided to finally make the jump and book an appointment with Dr. Zase because my teeth need help. When I tell you it was the absolute best decision I could've ever made, I mean it. I cried on the way to my appointment because my nerves were so bad. Within 5 minutes of being there, I felt completely at ease. Dr Zase not only set out a timeline with me, but made sure he explained everything in full detail and also made sure I knew exactly how much it was going to cost. Not to mention he had me laughing till my stomach hurt. I am so excited to get my smile back. It's early to say I'm excited about the dentist BUT I am very much looking forward to my next appointment with Dr. Zase (Stephanie, Anna and the girls up front were amazing too, can't forget to add that in) - it was an all around amazing experience. Thank you colchester dental! I'm so excited to finally be on track to getting my confidence back!

I was referred to Dr. Zase by my pediatric dentist as I was too old to be seen by her any longer and boy did I hit the jackpot. Dr. Zase and his staff were fantastic from the very first visit (and I had a lot of them). Dr. Zase was extremely accommodating to my college class schedule and never hesitated to see me on the weekends. I needed some cosmetic work done and Dr. Zase worked around my schedule and even held a zoom meeting at night so that my parents could be informed about the process as well. Before I even had any work done, Dr. Zase suggested bleaching and was not satisfied until my teeth were the exact shade he was envisioning. The first step was putting in temporary veneers while the permanent ones were being made. Dr. Zase called me the night the veneers were put in place on his personal cell phone, making sure everything was okay. The appointment was right before the holidays and Dr. Zase told me to not hesitate to call him directly if anything happened. When one of the temporaries fell off (due to my retainer) I was seen immediately to put it back on. When we were finally ready to start the cosmetic process, the veneers did not come in the shade that Dr. Zase had ordered. Instead of putting them in my mouth anyway, he would not even show me the veneers until they were the right shade. Four weeks later, the veneers came in in the proper shade and I am extremely happy with my new smile. Dr. Zase was extremely thorough and knew exactly what he wanted and how to achieve it. He did not settle for "average", he wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Stephanie and Anna were also phenomenal throughout the entire process- both extremely friendly and professional. Everyone who worked on my mouth explained exactly what they were going to do and I never felt a thing. If you are looking for an all around great dental experience, from the front desk staff all the way to the doctors themselves, I highly recommend Dr. Zase and Colchester Dental Group

For years, I bucked getting a night guard until the middle of the pandemic when--convinced there was something really wrong with my tooth/gum--I caved and went to CDG. Dr. Zase diagnosed my symptoms as being a result of increased teeth grinding at night. I was so uncomfortable, at his urging and promise of a money-back guarantee, I acquiesced and had them do the fitting. It was the single best $700 purchase I have ever made. Besides no longer having tooth/gum discomfort, I have no headaches, no tight neck upon awakening. I cannot say enough about this group.

Quite honestly the best dental experience that have had in my life. I recently engaged with Marty Zase and his team as my dentist, and they have provided me with exceptionally thorough service. I recently had my first actual procedure, and I was very satisfied with the overall process. I have had three other dentists previously, and this was the most painless procedure in my personal experiences. My wife was already a patient for sedated dentistry with Marty, and has also been very satisfied with his work.
