It has always been important for me to stay in the midwest, close to friends and family. The people here are some of the best I 've ever met and I really enjoy a small community without the stresses of city life. Colby, Kan., in particular, is comfortable and friendly, and I became fortunate to call it my home when the opportunity opened in 2016 to purchase the practice of what is now 'Colby Family Dentistry.' That day, my dream came true and I 'm now able to help others and take care of my patients ' whole health-- which I believe starts with a healthy smile and healthy teeth.
I grew up in Missouri and after high school graduation I joined the United States Air Force as a mechanic and fuel systems specialist in the 139th Missouri Air National Guard from 2003 to 2009. While in the guard, I began my Bachelor of Science degree in economics at Missouri Western State University with a minor in chemistry. As an Omicron Delta Epsilon Member of International Economics Honor Society, I was honored to graduate Summa Cum Laude. I received my doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City's School of Dentistryin 2013 and was immediately thankful for a position at the Family Health Center of Boone County, Missouri.
Today, I enjoy seeing my patients at Colby Family Dentistry alongside five wonderful dental hygienists and assistants. Colby Family Dentistry is open Monday through Thursday and we provide a full range of services from routine checkups and fillings to tooth extractions, crowns and veneers, to implants, whitening and emergency dentistry.

Dr Nagel was very kind and courteous during my visit. He was able to give me the best advice as far as my treatment plan. I went to him to get a second opinion from another dentist and he has since become my primary dentist. Definitely recommend!

I went here in 2017. By far the worst dentist I have ever been to. So bad that after 3 years, I still want to leave a bad review. When I went see him, he said I had 28 cavities and they all needed to be fixed. He scheduled me for 4 appointments and it was going to cost me more than $3,000 out of pocket, after insurance. Plus, the lady at the desk was pretty rude. I don't know why, maybe she judged me because it took a while for me to get my insurance information, or maybe I was college-aged kid so she was judging me, or she was judging because I was dressed like a Mormon. After one of my cavities was fixed, I was more sore for a couple of weeks, when I am usually sore for just that day. I cancelled the remaining appointments and went to a different dentist and he said I only had three cavities. He told me the dentist was wanting to fix things that didn't need to fixed. Like edges/watches or the white spots you get on your teeth after your braces come off. Don't go here. He wanted to fix things that didn't need to be fixed. Get a second opinion if you don't believe me. At least their pens were nice.

Dr. Nagel and his team are the absolute best! You won't find a more professional, competent, and caring dental staff in NW Kansas. We're so glad we found someone we can trust to take care of all of our family's dental health.
