Dr. Colberts says he has always been interested in the health professions and came to appreciate the value of a good smile while he was a undergraduate in college. He had his front teeth accidentally knocked out while playing racquetball. He decided then to pursue dentistry.
Dr. Colbert enjoys all phases of dentistry, including family dentistry as well as cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. He keeps up to date with many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive, advanced dental care. He is very proud of his fantastic team. They have worked together for a long time, some as long as 33 years! Together they provide a relaxed and stress-free atmosphere where patients can feel comfortable knowing they are in experienced care where the dentist and staff know them personally.
Dr. Colbert is very appreciative of the dental families that come to the office and that patients trust them enough to refer their families and friends. We strive to treat everyone as family, says Dr. Colbert. Some families who have been with us 34 years. We have watched their children grow into adults who now have their own children come to us for their dental needs. We appreciate all the families and friends who come to us each and every year and we always welcome more!
Dr. Mackenzie Colbert's interest in dentistry was formed growing up surrounded by a family tradition observing her father and two uncles as dentists. It was not until high school where she found a passion for ceramics in addition to science when she realized pursuing dentistry would merge her two interests.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Human Physiology at the University of Iowa. She graduated from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Mackenzie completed a General Practice Residency at the Minneapolis VA Hospital. In this year, she gained advanced oral surgery experience, implant placement experience, periodontal surgery experience and completed complex comprehensive restorative treatment plans to better serve her future patients and provide a practice where all their oral health needs can be met.
In her free time, she enjoys all the great things Minnesota has to offer. She enjoys biking, cheering on the Hawkeyes (and the Gophers when not playing the Hawkeyes), spending time on the water in any capacity and checking out new restaurants around the Twin Cities.
Cindy grew up in Osseo and graduated from Osseo High School. She went in the dental field following her mothers footsteps and earned her dental assisting degree in 1985. After working in a pediatric dental office for over 30 years, she decided to make a change and joined Dr. Colberts office.
Tammy grew up in Coon Rapids, MN and worked in a dental office during high school. The dentist recognized her passion for dentistry and encouraged her to pursue an education in dental care. Tammy earned her Dental Hygiene degree from the University of Minnesota in 1990. Tammy has been a part of Dr. Colberts team for 20 years and continues to further her education through many online course as as wells as lectures and seminars.
Connie grew up in the Anoka area and attended Anoka High School before earning her Dental Assisting degree in 1980 from Hennepin Technical College. She has been a core member of Dr. Colberts team for many years, serving patients, leading the team and running the office from day to day.
Connie is a member of the Dental Assisting National Board and is registered with the Minnesota Dental Board. She also continues her education through the OMS Study Group and attends several continuing education courses each year.
Monique grew up two hours southwest of here in Madelia, MN. She earned her degree in dental hygiene from Herzing University. She has been a dental hygienist for over 12 years and her favorite part of dentistry is patient education. Monique's favorite thing to do when not working is hanging out with her family and her pets: two dogs, two cats and chickens. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on the Packers, jogging, gardening, kayaking and cross country skiing when Minnesota gets enough snow.
Meghan grew up north of the Twin Cities near Cloquet, Minnesota. She received her dental assisting degree from Central Lakes College and has been in the dental field for over three years. Her favorite thing to do in her spare time is to spend time at her familys cabin. Her mom is also a dental assistant! You can also find Meghan cheering on her favorite sports team, the Vikings!

I have gone to Dr. Colbert for 40 years. He has taken care of me, and my family. I just recently met Dr. Mackenzie, and love her, she is as kind, and thorough as her father! My adult daughter recently found herself in a Dental CRISIS and had (no insurance coverage)! We didn't know what to do! I reached out for help by sending a message on their site. By morning Cindy contacted us and said, come on in! Both Dr. Mackenzie and Dr. Mike stepped up like I never imagined! They took care of my daughter like she's part of the family, and they worked with her financially too! The staff here is amazing, and you know your are in good hands with both Dentists! Best Dental Office ever! First of all - everyone - I absolutely dread going to the dentist - I am the biggest "coward" for sure. Secondly, today, I am so thankful that I got to see Dr. Mackenzie Colbert on a last minute cancellation! Everyone was so wonderful - I am so grateful to Cindy at the front desk (who really went above and beyond to help me feel at ease and even called me after my appointment to tell me my records from my previous dentist had been received and Dr. Colbert reviewed the x-rays and they looked the same as the ones taken today (I'm so relieved). Also, a big thank you to Tonya (Dr. Colbert's assistant) for everything she did - she could tell that I was very nervous. I have a return appointment in 2 weeks and will try to be less of a "coward" at that time. Thanks everyone - you all truly made my day!

We left our dentist after 15+years to come To Colbert dental and I wish we would have came to them earlier . We are SO happy and grateful that we made the switch. From the front desk to the dental hygienist to the dentist - they are all such great People! They are extra superb with our kids too. Very thorough in our cleanings. I definitely recommend Colbert dental!

I really LOVE LOVE LOVE Colbert Family Dental, I just recently had a visit. They are so family oriented and friendly. The hygienists are so completely thorough and personable at the same time. Every staff member from the second you walk in, you are greeted. There is alot of longevity of staff, which in itself say alot. It's an exceptionally positive experience. I've referred many ppl to the Colbert Family Dental. I ALWAYS get a thank you from the ppl I referred as well as a special thank you in the mail from Dr Colbert office. Thank you so much.
