At Coker Dental, it is our mission to treat you with respect and dignity in a caring environment. Everything will be done to address your dental needs to the highest degree possible. Our goal is to provide services that focus on preventing dental problems from getting out of hand. Should you require treatment beyond a cleaning and exam, we will work with you to determine the treatment plan that is ideal and meets your needs. If we determine that we cannot provide a particular treatment, we have strong relationships with many dental specialists in the area. We strive not to maximize profits, but to build trusting, long term relationships with our patients.
The office consists of a very friendly, hard working staff. Dr. Coker is qualified and knows what he is doing. The office is more than willing to go the extra mile with patients. The office is decorated nice with a number of interesting art work and feels very comfortable.
Hi, Im Dr. Coker and Id like to welcome you to my dental practice. Before becoming a dentist, I always dreamed of working in a field where my work would have a direct positive impact on others. I finally achieved that goal when I graduated from the VCU School of Dentistry in Richmond in 2008. I get a lot of satisfaction interacting with my patients, from the toddlersfirst visit to the dentist, the emergency with a painful tooth, or theindividual seeking to improve the appearance of their teeth and smile. No two patients are ever the same, so every day at the office is a new experience. Before leaving my hometown of Newport News to attend dental school I completed my undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech. When not working in the office I like to spend my time landscaping, jogging and cycling and, most of all, spending as much time as possible with my wife Janet and my boys Will and Ben.

I was able to be seen the same week that I called to make my initial appointment. The office offers an incredible in-house discount plan for patients with no insurance - it beats any price in RVA!

Great staff & dentist. I started going to Dr. Coker a year ago. Everybody is so warm, friendly & made me feel safe in their care. The office is very clean & inviting. Dr. Coker is very understanding. He helped me overcome my dental anxiety. They all listened to my concerns & completed my dental work painlessly & quickly. I have referred my friends & family here. I highly recommend Coker Dental!

Called practice to schedule cleaning. Told by new office manager I was no longer on patient list. Received call back later same day stating I was infact still on list. Made a appointment. Today just received a call from Sydney saying no evening appts. any longer. Rude unprofessional, unorganized. The face of Health Care in this practice, does not serve with equality.

Super professional and friendly dentist. Expert with the numbing needle, only felt mild discomfort while having two cavities filled.

I have been Dr. Coker patient around 8 years and I love my dentist. It is hard to find a person that knows his craft, and care about your oral care. You have people that do what they love, and you have those that just want your insurance money while neglecting your mouth in the process. I wouldn't go to anyone else! He is good!

After going to the same dentist for 20 years, I was terrified of finding a new one. For almost 2 years, I didn't go to the dentist, and finally bit the bullet and went to Dr. Coker. He (as well as his staff) immediately put me at ease. They take a personal approach and are very warm. Dr. Coker also does a great job of monitoring patient comfort while working. He often checks in asking if you're okay and really listens to your input.
