Dr. Gwen Cohen has been in private practice in Mahwah, NJ for 23 years, providing the township a modern and refreshingly friendly approach to orthodontics. Dedicated to creating beautiful smiles and improving the self-esteem of her patients, Dr. Cohenpresents her patients with the latest in orthodontic technology and themost advanced orthodontic treatments available. It is her ultimate goal to make her patients happy with the smiles they achieve.
With a passion for working with her hands and expressing her artistic side, Dr. Cohen knew from an early age that orthodontics was her calling. First in her class at Columbia Dental School, followed by a two year residency in orthodontics at Tufts University culminated in Dr. Cohen creating the orthodontic practice of her dreams.
As a testament to her commitment to providing excellent orthodontic care, Dr. Cohen is one of a select few in our area who is board certified. A board certified orthodontist is an orthodontist who has completed and passed a clinical and oral examination by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). Board certification represents an advanced knowledge of orthodontics and is a demonstration ofDr. Cohens pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence in orthodontic treatment.
A native of Wayne, NJ, Dr. Cohen currently resides in Ridgewood with her family. She and her husband Doug have two children, Hannah and Dylan. Dr. Cohen spends her time away from the office with her family, enjoys traveling and outdoor activities including hiking and gardening.

One of the best experience my daughter has ever had... First of all the place is absolutely beautiful and so clean... The whole Team is very friendly...I give it to them for their patience and talent for kids...they are so professional and everyone on the Team knows what they are doing...my daughter came in with a cross bite and with the treatment that she received she looks so amazing... I thank Dr.Cohen and her Team for doing such an amazing job... Thanks for giving back my daughter her confidence.... Every penny so spent was so worth it... Thx!

My daughter has been going to Dr. Cohen for a few years and just got her braces off. I can't say enough about how great she and her office staff are. There is no waiting and you are seen right away. Everyone is so nice , professional and efficient. I would recommend her 100 times over !! Her teeth look amazing!! Thank you Dr. Cohen.

Dr.Cohen and her staff has been wonderful in helping with my daughters teeth. She had a lot of complications but dr Cohen was patient and really explained things to my daughter especially since the process was taking longer than anticipated. Highly recommend!! My daughters smile looks amazing now!

Dr. Cohen and her staff were amazing through my daughter's entire treatment. They were always there to support us, give advise and suggestions and calm my daughter's nerves. There was never a moment we felt Dr. Cohen or her staff were not there for us. During the most difficult times when Covid forced so many closures and changes, Dr. Cohen and her staff stepped up and did what was necessary to keep moving forward and supporting all her patients needs. We can't say thank you enough and we highly recommend Dr. Cohen. Oh, and the beautiful bag of treats after her braces were removed, let's just say that was a hit!

Dr Cohen and her team is really a WOW team. My daughter is so happy with her new smile and so do l. The treatment process was long but it worths every single minute spent there. I highly recommend Cohen Orthodontics. My daughter just finished Invisalign treatment and her smile looks amazing! The practice is professional and well managed. The practice is open late with flexible hours, which is what we needed. I was always able to get an appointment when I needed one. Dr. Cohen was always on time with the appointments. Dr. Cohen s professional and has a wealth of expertise. My son is currently undergoing Invisalign treatment now at Cohen Orthodontics. I completely trust Dr. Cohen with his smile and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Every single thing about this orthodontist office and its staff is perfect. Clean offices (even stylish!); friendly, approachable staff; clear, no surprises pricing/billing (everything included); comprehensive and thorough; even gives to charity if your kid is too old to care about the "cohen bucks" reward system. Recycling old invisalign too! SUPER impressive and highly recommended!
