Dr. Adam Cohen received his bachelors degree from Colby College and continued his education at University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine earning his DMD degree. He was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society and received several other academic and clinical awards during dental school. Dr. Adam Cohen completed his clinical specialty training and earned his orthodontic certificate at Rutgers Univeristy.
It was there where he met his wife Lori, who is also an orthodontist. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Society, Hartford Dental Society, New Britain Dental Society, and Manchester Dental Society. To remain up-to-date on the latest technologies and treatment philosophies, Dr. Adam Cohen continually attends lectures and seminars.
Dr. Adam and Dr. Lori live in West Hartford with their three children, Blake, Tessa, and Elle. When they are away from the office you can find them staying busy in the community and enjoying everything Connecticut has to offer!
Dr. Lori Cohen was born and raised in southern California. She earned her undergraduate degree in Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego, where she graduated with honors for outstanding academic achievement. She went on to receive her D.D.S. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her postgraduate certificate in orthodontics from Rutgers University. Drs. Lori strives to provide the most advanced treatment options to all of her patients.
She feels that it is important to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontics and makes continuing education a top priority. She maintains active memberships with several professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Northeast Society of Orthodontists. Drs. Lori enjoys working with children and adults to help them achieve beautiful smiles and is committed to providing her patients with an individualized experience.
She believes in not only achieving great results, but also building relationships with her patients and the community. Lori met her husband Adam, who is also an orthodontist, during their orthodontic residency program in New Jersey. Drs. Lori and Adam Cohen practice in Berlin, South Windsor and Farmington. Her favorite time away from the office is spent with her husband and son Blake, daughter Tessa, and daughter Elle. Lori also enjoys traveling, yoga, scuba diving, running, and snowboarding.

Dr. Cohen and his staff have been amazing from the start! My daughter just got her braces off last week and she is so much more confident now with a perfect smile! And that is all thanks to Dr. Cohen and his team. Everyone in the office is always so friendly. And his team went above and beyond dealing with our insurance company to make sure our claim was paid. They also made the payment process so easy and affordable. I cannot recommend Dr. Cohen and his team enough! It's really been a great experience from start to finish.

Visited Cohen Family Orthodontics last week and was so incredibly happy with the service, office, staff and treatment. I had a last minute issue and was so appreciative that they fit me in and also spent the time on me while I was there. In fact, Dr. Lori Cohen even called me after to ensure everything was ok. She was beyond wonderful. Most dr's now are in such a rush and barely listen, I didn't feel that way at all. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Cohen for helping me. Next up is getting my kids in their chairs!

Dr. Cohen and his staff are amazing. My teeth started to shift as an adult and they were able to correct things with Invisalign at a very affordable price. You couldn't find a better office!

I would highly recommend this practice. Honest explanations and options given, no overselling. Dr Cohen has a great personality and down to earth. Both of my kids like him. Staff are equally personable and professional. My son recently had his braces off and looks and feels great!

Dr. Cohen and his staff are very friendly and the office is run very efficiently. We never need to wait to be brought in. My son was treated there and now my daughter is. Dr. Cohen explained the treatment plans for both of my children completely and patiently answered all of my questions. The price of the braces for both children were very reasonable, and we have been able to utilize their payment plan. Dr. Cohen follows my son post-braces and continues to be involved with his care. I have recommended Dr. Cohen to many friends, and will continue to do so. You will not be disappointed choosing Dr. Cohen and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Cohen's office has treated both of my children. Their teeth look amazing and the office/staff has been great to work with! In addition, the safety precautions and steps they took during Covid went above and beyond keeping the kids/parents safe and informed. The progress reports they provided after each visit is a nice touch since only patients are allowed in the office. I highly recommend this office! Thank Dr. Cohen and staff for a great experience!

My children have been under the care of Dr. Adam Cohen of Cohen Family Orthodontics for 2 years and I couldn't be happier. My youngest just had his braces off today and his teeth look incredible! Dr. Cohen and his entire staff are fantastic and patient and made my kids feel comfortable every step of the way. Clean office, strict COVID protocols, flexible appointment times. Would recommend to anyone looking for an orthodontist in the area.

Dr. Cohen and his staff are patient, personable, and welcoming (just to name a few)! I had the pleasure of working for Dr. Cohen for a brief time as a sterilization technician and I can confidently say that he deeply cares about both his employees and his patients. Before working here, I went for braces for about a year and a half and I couldn't ask for a better team of people to transform my smile into what I had always wanted! Cohen Orthodontics was a positive experience from beginning to end. At the initial visit, I was given information and a time frame was discussed. As an older patient, I wasn't looking for perfect teeth but a fix for my very crowded teeth and overbite. It was clear by the end of the first visit, Dr. Cohen was listening to me and had a plan. The front desk staff was always amazingly kind, cheerful and helpful as they scheduled my appointments quickly and around my work schedule. My braces came off on schedule and the change to my teeth, smile and even profile was incredible in a way I never thought possible in such a short time. Thank You Cohen Orthodontics for my new smile

Dr Cohen and his staff are all wonderful. During each visit I always felt welcomed and comfortable. I was initially nervous to get braces, but after my consultation, I felt like I was in good hands. Dr. Cohen definitely had his work cut out for him, let me tell you! So, I didn't know how he was going to do it, but he indeed straighted out my crowded teeth. My profile completely changed, so now I know that I actually do have a top lip . This place transformed my smile and confidence. For these reasons and more, I highly reccomend.

Had such a great experience with Cohen Family Orthodontics. They are very professional and responsive and could always squeeze me in if I needed an adjustment between appointments.
