Growing up as the son of an orthodontist, I spent many hours with my father around the house and in his office. As I worked for him in his practice through high school and college, I was exposed to the ways in which a beautiful smile can positively impact a person 's life. This experience made it clear to me that I wanted to follow in his footsteps and positively affect smiles and lives. Today I continue to keep up with the advances in orthodontics so that I can provide our patients with the best care possible. My goal in my professional life is to use the best and most up to date technology and treatment philosophies to deliver invaluable lifelong smiles that are infectious and spread warmth and happiness. At Coghlan Orthodontics we strive for a friendly yet professional and educated staff to service all your needs. I would love the opportunity to meet with you and discuss all of your concerns, both esthetic and functional. By understanding your individual needs and desires, I can design a custom treatment plan specifically for you. Our office makes every effort to provide you with a way to the smile you have always wanted and will do our best to assure you enjoy the journey to a 'Healthy Hoosier Smile'. I look forward to becoming your orthodontist and helping you on this path.

I started working for Coghlan Orthodontics in 1981 and have enjoyed being part of this great team. Over the years I have worn many hats as an Orthodontic Technician, Records Technician, Lab Technician & finally as the Treatment Coordinator. Having worked in all of these areas helps me assure your treatment progresses smoothly. I love meeting people and will do my best to personalize your first visit to our office. Feel free to ask me all your questions. I am here for you! Outside of the office, I love camping, boating, riding UTVs and spending time with my husband, my family and my friends.

It has been my pleasure to meet our patients and their families and to see the changes during treatment. Having worked for Coghlan Orthodontics since 1986, it is still a joy and does not grow old. I have been married to a wonderful man, Dannie, for over 50 years and together we have 3 grown sons and 3 daughters-in-law. We have been blessed with 6 talented grandchildren. We are passionate about family, church, travel and sports.

I began working in the lab at Coghlan Orthodontics in 1990 after my daughter was a patient here. As the Orthodontic Lab Supervisor I enjoy creating customized retainers and specialized appliances designed by Dr. Kevin for our patients. I enjoy singing, playing the organ (roller rink style), gardening, sewing and jewelry making, but most of allI enjoy being 'Grandma'.

I joined Coghlan Orthodontics in 1993, as an Orthodontics Clinic Technician. In 1999 I transitioned to the front office as the Insurance & Billing Coordinator and was then promoted to Office Manager in 2001. As the Office Manager, I am committed to making our patients and families experience in our office a positive one, building long lasting relationships. I enjoy working with the best Doctor and incredible team members knowing together we all help our patients create healthy, beautiful smiles to be proud of! I love spending time with my husband, Tim, our beautiful kids, and our 2 most amazing grandkids, Eden and Emmett (and a 3rd on the way), and my cats (the girls here at work call me the crazy cat lady)! I also enjoy yoga, decorating, and shopping!

I have been bending wires at Coghlan Orthodontics since 1996. I am the Clinic Coordinator and it is my responsibility that all of your visits in my area go smoothly. If you have any questions, suggestions, or compliments please make sure you talk to me. We continually work to improve your clinical experience and our patients give us great ideas. The best part of my job is watching the children grow and seeing the confidence they gain as we transform their smiles. In my off time, I enjoy spending time with my teenage daughter, Nora, (how do you think I got all of this gray hair), and my furry daughter, Goldendoodle Ruby. I also enjoy crafting, crocheting, and baking.

I am one of the Orthodontic Technicians and have been with the office since 1997. I enjoy working with the patients and getting to know each one of them personally. I like to show patients their original photos and show them how their smiles are improving as they go through treatment. I love spending time with my husband, traveling, reading and shopping.

During my first 18 years here, starting in 1994, I worked as a Clinic Technician, Records Technician, and some as a Lab Technician. I relocated out of state in 2012. I continued to grow in the dental field working as a Team Coordinator and Treatment Coordinator. In 2016, I returned to my hometown of Bloomington and was fortunate enough to rejoin this awesome group! I love the positive impact that I have been able to make with the patients in helping them obtain a beautiful smile!

I have worked in the Insurance/Billing office since 2001. I enjoy working with the patients as well as their parents. I will do my best to answer all your insurance questions, help you maximize your benefits, and work with you on your payment plans. If you have any problems with your account please contact me so we can work things out. My husband, Jeff, and I spend most of our spare time cheering on our two boys at their sporting events, and love every minute of it.

I started for the second time with this practice in 2003. I took time off to start my family. I work as the sterilization tech, but am able to work chairside and in the lab. Im the one that you hear singing when you come to your visit. Outside the office I love to attend concerts and spend time with my family.

I have been a part of the Coghlan Orthodontics team since September of 2008. I started as an Orthodontic Technician but in February of 2016 I became the office Records Technician. Being the Records Tech, I get to see all the beginning patients and get them geared up for the start of their Orthodontic treatment. I also get to see all the finishing patients which is always fun. When their face lights up when they see the change in the before and after photos is something that will never get old. Our patients are one of the MANY reasons why I love my job and what I do. When Im not at work, I love to spend time with my husband and our little Yorkie named Axle. I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, shopping, and spending time with my family and friends.

I have been an Orthodontic Technician at Coghlan Orthodontics since 2008. I studied dental assisting at Ivy Tech and graduated a few months before joining the Coghlan Team. I enjoy working with all of our patients and making them feel at ease while they get the perfect smile. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going on family vacations, and enjoying the great outdoors.

I joined the amazing Coghlan Orthodontics team in 2017, as an Orthodontic Technician! My favorite part about my job is seeing the transformation our patients go through during their treatment, and watching their excitement as they develop beautiful smiles! When I am not at work you can usually catch me working on my crafts or spending time outdoors with my husband and family!

Terrible experience as a "new patient". I was given a 2 p.m. appointment and received a reminder text the day before, asking me to show up "15 minutes early" in order to complete paperwork. I showed up at 1:45, as requested, and the reception desk was completely dark and there was a sign that they were out to lunch and would not return until 2 p.m. There was a computer with names of those who had appointments at that time. Ours was not on it. Hmmm, I checked my calendar, yep I have an appointment. I waited 5 minutes and no one came. I knocked on a door and a woman told me everyone was at lunch and they'd be back soon. I explained I was told to be there at 1:45 and that I took off work early to do so. She did not apologize, repeated herself and tried to brush me off. When I said I didn't see my name on the list she then realized I was a new patient and reluctantly gave me the paperwork and said they'd be back in 5 minutes. Stated in a way as if I should have been able to wait and it wasn't a big deal. Well they were not. (Trust me I timed it.) It wasn't until right at 2 p.m. that they returned. Fifteen minutes after I was told to arrive. I explained to the receptionist about the situation and that I left work early to be there when they requested. She said, well they have lunch from 1-2 every day. I explained this is not common knowledge and referred to the text I received. She said, "that's a standard text". ???? Still no apology or anything. So I went on, "I'm not trying to be rude but I don't appreciate being asked to show up at a time when no one was going to be here." She gave a very I'm not sorry, sorry while staring at the computer and repeating that they have lunch every day at that hour. It was rude and very clear she irritated with ME. What a way to treat a new customer! Unfortunately, this is not where it ends. Once I went back to see the orthodontist it was very rushed. He gave me a very brief overview and was on his way out the door as I was talking to him. I actually had to say, "Are you leaving b/c I have questions." (I was never asked if I had questions.) He stood at the door the entire time, causing me to have to stand to speak b/c the chairs were against the wall with the door. I then had to rush to get my questions in b/c he was trying to leave It was 15 minutes into the appointment. So it's not like I was taking up a bunch of time already. (Other new patient orthodontic appointments I've had were an hour! And they never rushed us.) The service all around was rude. My quote was over $2,400. This is what you get for $2,400? I've been to three orthodontists in town to get quotes. The first two gave very different approaches, thus my reasoning for getting this third one. My final say is that while Dr. Coglan did seem like the best orthodontist I spoke too, no one there showed me respect. The office was rude and did not respect me nor my time and the fact that I took off work 15 minutes early to be there when they asked, only to be greeted by an empty desk and irritated staff. Note to staff, if you care at all, when you apologize you should mean it. All would have been fine with a kind apology and maybe a, "Yeah, we should probably not send that text or maybe let new patients know when we take lunch, so they don't sit here waiting." I can't imagine taking my business here.

I absolutely love this establishment, the staff are incredible and patient beyond belief. They work with you and are pleasant while doing so. I am always treated with the upmost respect and am so happy I chose these wonderful people in my journey of fixing my teeth.

I feel that while Dr. Kevin was personable in our initial consultation subsequent appointments for my son have felt rushed and communication with me has been limited. I honestly have no idea at this point where my son is in his orthodontic care plan. All I know is that because of Covid he goes in alone and the woman who collect payments has been rather rude to him (in his own words). I was told by Dr. Kevin that as long as payments are made before treatment is complete there is no problem. I hate that my son had to endure rude comments about me not making a payment on time and him feeling as if it's his fault. As a single parent and emergency room nurse amidst a pandemic I thought that an office used to dealing with adolescents would be more supportive through all of this. Every time I try to call they are closed and I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone even when I do call. There never seems to be an available appointment or any flexibility for unique and unforeseeable circumstances. I actually chose Dr. Kevin because of his personal consultation with us. There are many cheaper options in town they seem to be more interested in quality and not quantity when it comes to the amount of patients they see.

Always kind and respectful. They are tolerant but do not enable my kids' behavior if it is making their job harder! I appreciate that!

I go to Coghlans for my braces. Honestly I like going to appointments. I would much rather go to the "ortho" than the dentist or doctor haha. I am glad I go to Coghlans Orthodontics rather than anywhere else. Mainly because everyone is nice there. Carson Bex

Our AMAZING experiences with Coghlan Orthodontics began over 20 years and 8 sets of braces ago. ( with one still currently in braces and one more to go) I can not thank the entire staff of Coghlan Orthodontics enough for all of the kindness that they have shown to my children and myself over all of the years that we have been going to this office. One thing that stands out to me is the fact that the AMAZING employees at this office have been there as long as I can remember and I feel that speaks volumes as to the quality of service at this practice! Not only do my children have beautiful teeth after their braces have come off, but we have gained some pretty AMAZING friends at this office :)

Coghlan Orthodontics became part of my life while receiving care! They have an amazing team....everyone was great! At 28 I was not really looking forward to 2 years in braces, but it was the best thing I could have ever done and Dr Coghlan and his staff made things seamless! And now I have a wonderful smile that I am proud to show all the time!!! Thanks so much!

We love Dr. Coghlan! I went there as a kid and now my daughter goes there. He is kind and very knowledgeable. We appreciate the timely service and professional care that is given. The staff is always kind and so sweet to my other children that have to come with us. My daughter enjoys going to the orthodontist and has enjoyed her time there so far.
