Dr. Rebecca Cochrane has been practicing family dentistry for 15 years, serving patients in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. A 2002 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Cochrane graduated with honors with a DMD and a PhD in Biomedical Science. She received the Senior Oral Biology and Community Service awards, and was the first University of Connecticut dental student to receive the Dentsply award for research in her first year.
Prior to practicing general dentistry, Dr. Cochrane invested a year in a prosthodontics residency at the University of Connecticut as well as two years in a post-doctoral research fellowship studying osteoporosis/bone biology. While at UConn, she was part of a team that invented a new approach to implant science and holds a patent for a procedure now moving toward clinical trials at the university.

One of THE BEST providers in the valley. I've never thought I would enjoy the dentist but their team and Dr. Cochran make on of the typically dreadful experiences pleasant and easy!

Staff at this dentist's office: skillfull, fast, pain-free; and meticulous; friendly, respectful, and a joy to work with. I have been to many dentists in my 60 years, and Dr. Cohrane and associates are the best. And very reasonably priced as well.

Staff is professional and friendly. Cleanings are quick and painless. No one judges you for not having perfect dental hygiene.

Ask for a *written* estimate before you have any work performed. What the office staff says can be misleading! I was told it would be $34 each for a routine check-up for two children under 3 (no x-rays). We were charged $300! The staff is incompetent or they deceived us. Either way, I need my dentist to provide reasonably accurate information and to make sound recommendations that I can trust. An estimate that is off by about 500% is an unwelcome surprise. Avoid at all costs!

I hadn't been to the dentist in years and I hadn't brushed for most of my teen years, but honestly, they made an experience I was dreading into a pleasant one. They're polite and kind, and I've never had anything other than the best and most professional care here. I would highly recommend them.

I've been to several dentists and Dr. Cochrane is the best I've met. She is thorough and does a great job of communicating the state of your dental health. She lets you know what you need to get done, what you don't need to get done, and what you need to keep an eye on. She was very accommodating about completing the work I needed within a minimum number of visits to the office. I highly recommend Dr. Cochrane and the staff at Cochrane Dental Associates.

For people who put off visiting the dentist, I now have a solid recommendation in the Northampton area. I was very impressed with their non-judgmental attitude and easy going professionalism. No nagging about not getting my teeth cleaned in the past year, they just got in there and helped where they could. Their work was excellent and didn't cause unnecessary pain. Even my wife who cringes at having her teeth cleaned enjoyed her experience. I'm glad to say I've found my dentist and won't miss a cleaning again!
