Dr. Cobain is passionate about giving his patients the opportunity to be proud of a healthy brilliant smile. He loves seeing his patients transform from being self-conscious about their teeth to confident individuals who laugh and flash their smiles without a second thought.
Dr. Cobain attended UC Santa Barbara, where he earned his bachelors degree in biological sciences. He attended the University of the Pacifics School of Dentistry to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2003. He completed his formal education at UOP in 2005 when he earned his Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry.
Dr. Cobain has since made it a priority to attend continuing education courses in all areas of orthodontics. He is especially interested in the latest advances in technology such as Invisalign and digital scanning (iTero). Evidence-based dentistry is his focus because he wants to offer only high-quality treatment options that have been rigorously tested and proven to be effective. He is committed to giving all his patients the most comfortable and efficient treatment methods available.
Dr. Cobain believes that his profession defines him. I feel extremely fortunate to be an orthodontist and believe that its a privilege to help my patients improve their smiles, their oral function, and above all, their self-esteem. It is important to me that the office environment is fun and positive so patients are comfortable the entire time they are with us. I truly care about giving my patients the best experience and smile possible. I believe everyone has awesome potential. I feel that orthodontics can help remove roadblocks that may hinder an individual's path to reaching their full potential.
Dr. Cobain spends most of his time out of the office with his family and friends. He is a proud parent of his two young boys who keep him running! Together they enjoy video games, baseball, and exploring the outdoors. His focus is being the best father he can be.
In his spare time, Dr. Cobain enjoys playing soccer, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and mountain biking. Whenever possible, he travels to the beach or mountains to enjoy adventure sports. He also enjoys attending or volunteering in community events. He believes that through such involvement, he not only improves his community but betters himself.

I was honored to join Cobain Orthodontics in 2015. Dr. Cobain and his team have taught me everything from scheduling and working with insurance to joining our new patients in the consulting room. I love working at the practice because it has taught me so much about dental care and patient care, which I apply in my daily interactions with our families. When I am not in the office, you will find me spending time with my wonderful cat Ginger, going to concerts, and enjoying time with my friends and family.
I started off my dental journey as a dental assistant at a pediatric office then moved on to a general practice before finding my way to Cobain Orthodontics. I look forward to serving our families every day while learning more about Orthodontics. I am currently applying for dental hygiene school to further my dental career. In my free time you can find me exercising, snowboarding, reading, and trying out new restaurants!
I joined Cobain Orthodontics in 2016 and it has been rewarding to see the transformation that occurs with our patients. I am happy to have the privilege of taking part in our patients' treatment and seeing them become more confident in themselves! I love spending my free time with my husband, threekids (Natalie, Vincentand Philly),our two cats and our two snakes,or making our annual trips down to Disneyland!
I started my dental career by gaining experience in general dentistry. I feel that a person's smile is their best feature, and I want to help people feel confident and beautiful. Looking for a more upbeat and fast-paced environment, I decided to transition into orthodontics. I am so grateful I found this office during the summer of 2016! Cobain Orthodontics is a loving office with a fantastic team that is very inviting and has made me feel welcome! It's refreshing to be in a work setting with people who are passionate about their jobs. I have twin daughters who love to explore the East Bay hills and parks with me when I am not working.
