Dr. Broom grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Pascagoula, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University in 1979. He graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1983 where he received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Because of his love for children he decided to pursue a career that would allow him to devote his life to caring for them. In 1986 he completed a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, one of the largest childrens hospitals in the United States. During his residency Dr. Broom received extensive specialty training that has proven invaluable in equipping him to provide excellent dental care for infants, children, and teens as well as children with special needs. He has been well trained in reducing fear and anxiety in apprehensive patients.

After completing his residency, Dr. Broom returned to the coast and established his practice of pediatric dentistry in Gulfport in 1987, and a second location was added in Ocean Springs in 2011. His practice is filled with patients from across the Mississippi Gulf Coast as well as from Louisiana and Alabama. Especially rewarding to him is that as his practice has grown he is now beginning to care for the children of his earliest patients.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Broom is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Mississippi Dental Association, the Mississippi Society of Pediatric Dentists, and is on staff at multiple local hospitals and outpatient surgery centers.

Dr. Brooms greatest joy is his family. He is married to the former Kathie English of Ocean Springs and they are parents of three daughters and two sons. The Brooms are active members of Mosaic Church of Ocean Springs. Dr. Brooms hobbies include running, hiking and photography.

Dr. Carter was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Gulfport, MS. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University. After completing her undergraduate training, she attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry where she received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. During her four years of dental school, Dr. Carter participated in several community projects providing dental education and care to children. It was through these projects and her time in the pediatric dentistry clinic that she confirmed her decision to pursue a career in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Carter then completed a 2 year residency program specializing in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center/Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.

Dr. Carter is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Mississippi Dental Association, and the American Dental Association and is on staff at multiple local hospitals and surgery centers.

She has enjoyed working alongside Dr. Broom for the past 5 years taking care of the children of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She and her husband, Cory have a daughter, Avery, that they adore. Dr. Carter enjoys cooking, reading, and shopping. Dr. Carter and her husband also love participating in church activities at Mosaic Church and spending time with their family, friends and their dog, Riley.
