Dr. Forester doesnt just call himself a pediatric dentist, he had to earn that title by completing specialized training on top of dental school. During his pediatric residency, he completely dedicated two years to learning about and meeting the unique dental needs of children of all ages. In addition, a pediatric dentist is not required to be board certified by the ABPD (American Board of Pediatric Dentistry) in order to practice dentistry for children. This certification requires a significant commitment of additional time and energy to earn and maintain and reflects his commitment to the profession and passion for being a pediatric dentist. The field of childrens dental health changes quickly, and maintaining board certification is one way Dr. Forester ensures he is providing his patients with the most current and up to date techniques, technologies, and treatment. Instead of mercury-laden metal fillings, we use only fillings made of a biocompatible composite resin (white fillings). Dr. Forester is a fun-loving, board-certified pediatric dentist who has been practicing on the Central Coast since 2007. He is an energetic kid at heart who takes pride in his work and is thrilled to have found a profession in which he looks forward to coming to work every day.

Dr. Forester has a unique ability to engage children of all ages and backgrounds. You will often find him in the dental office singing and telling stories (in both English and Spanish) or recapping the latest baseball games with his patients. To him, the best part about working with kids is seeing their endless potential and helping guide their growth. 'I love their honesty, creativity, and genuine spirits.

Dr. Forester graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Pacifics Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2002. After practicing as a general dentist for two years, he completed a postdoctoral program in Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Joseph's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island in 2006.

Dr. Forester is very active in the local and State level dental community. He has served as the medical/dental representative on the San Luis Obispo County First Five Commission, is a member of the San Luis Obispo County Oral Coalition, and is past president of the Central Coast Dental Society. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and served in Sacramento on the Government Affairs Council of the California Dental Association for three years. He is also a member of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Western Society of Pediatric Dentistry, California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

As a lifelong Christian, Dr. Forester loves giving back to the community. Hes participated in numerous mission trips to Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. He helps coordinate and participates in the local Give Kids A Smile program while also volunteering at schools and community events to educate and promote the importance of early dental health. He is a strong supporter of local youth sports, especially AYSO soccer and SLO Youth Baseball. He dedicates a significant amount of time outside the dental office coaching youth sports and leading Awana youth bible study groups at his local church.

Since 2007, Dr. Forester has also been very involved in the Tolosa Childrens Dental Center, a non-profit dental clinic based in Paso Robles. He has been instrumental in the continued delivery of care to many underserved children. As the former dental director, he worked with the Clinic Director and Board to oversee several expansions of the clinic and its capacity, a continued increase in the dental providers, and an expansion to include a satellite clinic in San Luis Obispo. Consequently, the number of deserving children receiving quality care has increased significantly over the past 10 years.

Dr. Kristine graduated from the prestigious Seven Year Bio-Dental Program at the University of Pennsylvania, which combines an accelerated and rigorous undergraduate education with the traditional four year dental degree. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelors degree in Biology and a minor in African studies and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kristine went on to complete the Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry program with NYU Langone Dental Medicine at Rady Childrens Hospital in San Diego, CA, where she served as chief resident.

Becoming a pediatric dentist has been a meaningful and lifelong journey for Dr. Kristine. She has always wanted to be a dentist and along the way developed a love for helping children. While on mission trips to Nairobi, Kenya, she had the privilege of working with impoverished children and families and assisting in delivering dental care. Dr. Kristine spent time in dental school volunteering for underserved families and also practiced in the clinic for medically compromised patients, where she gained an appreciation for treating patients with various health conditions. During residency, Dr. Kristine had the opportunity to work with children from diverse backgrounds and those with special health care needs and has a special place in her heart for these children. It was through these transformative experiences that Dr. Kristine gained a passion for pediatric dentistry and a strong belief that all children are entitled to excellence in oral health care.

Dr. Kristines training and expertise includes restorative dentistry, management of medically compromised children, nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and general anesthesia. Her goal for each dental visit is to make it a fun and positive experience for the child and parent. She believes in encouraging healthy dental habits at a young age to carry to adulthood while also delivering quality care for all patients.

Dr. Kristine is originally from Seattle and loves the Pacific Northwest, even with all the rain, but is very excited to stay in sunny California. In her free time, she loves to hike, play volleyball, read novels, travel, spend time with her family and husband, Jon, and eat delicious food.
