Coastal Pediatric Dentistry is an affiliate of Coastal Cosmetic Family Dentistry, providing gentle dental care for children of all ages. The doctors at Coastal Pediatric have provided extraordinary care to families in Brunswick County for 20 years.

We realized parents were traveling to Wilmington or Myrtle Beach for their child(ren) to see a pediatric dentist, and decided to add a Pediatric Dentistto our team to help busy families save time. We offer extended office hours and some Saturdays to eliminate missing school and/or extracurricular activities.

Coastal Pediatric Dentistry is conveniently located in the same building as Coastal Cosmetic Family Dentistry at the Bolivia (Hwy 211) location, allowing busy moms the opportunity to get the entire familys dental needs taken care of under one roof. Dr. Cecilia Liu is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a native to North Carolina. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. In 2013, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where she participated in several dental mission trips around the world.

After dental school Dr. Cecilia earned a certificate for Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center in Hawaii. She completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she served as the chief resident during her final year in residency. After the completion of her Pediatric Dentistry residency, Dr. Cecilia returned home to North Carolina to begin practicing.

As an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she commits to staying current in pediatric studies and innovations. Dr Cecilia is a certified provider for the Healthy Start program and has privileges at both Novant Health Brunswick Center and Dosher Memorial Hospital.

In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, reading, and exploring. As a former gymnast, she captures herself doing handstands while traveling around the world. She also loves to volunteer in the community and hang out with her pups, Nalo and Lamia.

Dr. Cecilia helps to educate all of her patients on the importance of dental health and to help children overcome any fear of visiting the dentist. She strives to be a compassionate healthcare partner that parents can trust for a lifetime of healthy smiles. When a child comes in excited to share how well they are brushing, she is thrilled!

Dr. Nichole Ramsbottom was born in Wilmington, NC and later lived on Oak Island before moving to Clearwater, FL. She returned to North Carolina to earn her undergraduate degree in Biology at Wake Forest University and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine at East Carolina University.

Dr. Nichole joined the team at Coastal Pediatric Dentistry in July 2018. She became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in the Fall of 2019 and currently has hospital privileges at Novant Brunswick Medical Center and Dosher Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Nichole was drawn to dentistry for its multi-faceted nature. She is enamored by the technical aspect of dentistry as well as the relationship-building aspect. Dr. Ramsbottom is a compassionate listener to children and parents. When a child feels races in to the office with a high five for her, that is the ultimate compliment!

Katharine Darrow is originally from Warrenton, NC, and received her education from Wayne Community College in Goldsboro. She has over 25 years of experience in pediatric dentistry, and has been a member of the Coastal Pediatric Dentistry team since May 2018. When shes not in the office helping patients, she enjoys cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.

Courtney joined Coastal Pediatric Dentistry in September 2018. She is originally from Burlington, North Carolina, and graduated from Alamance Community College's Dental Assisting program. She has two daughters, and outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Ashley joined CCFD in February 2015 and has been in the dental field since 2003. Ashley is from Ohio and attended Fayetteville Technical Community College. She has lived in the Wilmington area since 2014. Ashley enjoys going to the beach with her daughter, son and English Bulldog, working out with her husband and anything crafty.

Jordan joined CCFD in July 2017. She is from Fayetteville and attended Fayetteville Technical Community College. She moved to Southport in July 2017. Jordan loves spending time with her two sons, decorating, and hanging out on the beach with her extended family.

Alex King has been with CCFD since August 2020. Alex is a graduate of Cape Fear Community College. Alex is originally from Ocean Isle Beach, NC and resides there to this day. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach and watching Netflix.

Mallory joined us in July 2021. She has been in the dental field for 9 years as a pediatric dental practice office manager. She has completed sterilization, office emergency, radiology infection control and coronal polish training. Mallory grew up in El Paso, TX, and lives in Wilmington now. She loves spending time with her husband and her daughter. She is an avid crafter and loves to cook.

Sirena Mullins has been with CCFD since July 2020. Sirena attended King University where she received her degree. She has been in the field since graduating in July of 2020. Sirena is originally from Clintwood, VA and has recently relocated to Southport back in January. Sirena enjoys riding on her boat, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Megan joined Coastal Pediatric Dentistry in 2022. She is a graduate of Principia College with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature. Megan lives in Southport and she is from Oneida, NY. She loves hiking, exploring, drawing and the occasional good nap.

Jasmine joined CCFD in 2021. She graduated from Central Carolina Community College as a Dental Assistant II and is completing her degree at UNCW in biology. She was born in Jersey City, NJ and grew up in Raeford, NC, Jasmine lives in Supply and loves spending time with her family and baking.

It is such a great feeling to know that our family has found a childrens dental office that is so loving and supportive. Coastal Cosmetic has given our children excellent care! Their doctors are so wonderful and encouraging to our family.

Absolutely wonderful staff! My kids loved every second of their visit here and the staff made sure they were comfortable and happy. I was worried about how their first visit would go but I am beyond happy and will recommend them to everyone with kids!
