Frank Mac, DDS Dr. Frank Mac received his Bachelor in Physiology from UC Davis in 1993 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from UC San Francisco in 1998. After working several years as a general dentist, he decided to advance his education and completed his residency in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD in 2009. After twenty-one years of active service, deployments and humanitarian missions with the United States Navy, Dr. Mac is now in private practice full-time. Dr. Mac is a board-certified oral surgeon with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is passionate about oral surgery with particular emphasis in Dentoalveolar Surgery and Dental Implants. Dr. Mac works very closely with Dr. Chotiner to provide you a complete restorative and surgical comprehensive dental service.

Victoria Mesolella, DDS Dr. Victoria Mesolella was born and raised in Upstate New York. After earning her biology degree from Canisius College she graduated magna cum laude from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She then completed post-graduate training in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Buffalos V.A. Medical Center. Throughout her education she has provided dental care to underserved populations on Native American reservations with Indian Health Services, in the Appalachian Mountains with Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps and on sugar cane plantations in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Mesolella was practicing general dentistry in a private office in Rochester, NY, prior to moving to sunny San Diego. She is committed to providing thoughtful, comprehensive care and strives to treat her patients with dignity and compassion. She is excited for the opportunity to work with Dr. Chotiner, his exceptional team and the modern technology available at Coastal Dental Arts. When not treating patients, Dr. Mesolella enjoys skiing, yoga, traveling, baking and spending time with her fianc Nicholas.

Spencer Nice, DDS Dr. Spencer Nice is a general dentist who completed his undergraduate and dental degrees in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to living in Boston, Dr. Nice was the child of diplomats and traveled extensively around the globe. He speaks English, French, Spanish and German, and he loves using his linguistic abilities to communicate with patients of all kinds. When he is not helping people smile through dentistry and his sense of humor, he enjoys exploring San Diego with his husband and, of course, their dog, aptly named Diego.

Destiny Practice Administrator Destiny is originally from Lancaster, California, and has been passionate about dentistry since 2012. Starting as a dental assistant, she quickly expanded her expertise and role. With background in both traditional and holistic dentistry, her communication with you regarding your specific oral health needs will be both thorough and educational. She looks forward to personally assisting you with utilizing and maximizing your dental benefits on your dental health journey. When she is not working, she loves Pilates and spending time with her sister exploring San Diego.

Sarah Treatment Coordinator Sarah is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, and began her career in dentistry in 2013 while attending San Diego State University. She has developed a passion for dentistry over the years and has worked in a private practice and corporate setting. As a retired gymnast, she still makes time for the gym and enjoys teaching classes. Sarah is married and spends her free time with her son, at the beach and at church.

Donia Registered Dental Hygienist Donia was born and raised in Sacramento, California, and graduated from Carrington College with her dental hygiene degree. Prior to her dental hygiene training, she graduated with degrees in Biology, Pre-Nursing and Social and Behavioral Sciences. She loves keeping up with dental technology and getting to know each of her patients. In her time out of the office she likes to hike, surf and travel.

Kimia Registered Dental Hygienist Kimia has been a registered dental hygienist since 2013, graduating with honor as class Vice President at Carrington College. She is very enthusiastic about dental hygiene and is very excited to meet our patients and educate them on their own personalized dental needs. Kimia has been known to be very gentle and thrives off the smiles she receives after every hygiene visit throughout the day. Outside of dentistry, you can catch Kimia running around the harbor, soaking up the sun at the beach and testing new dinner recipes at home!

Caleigh Registered Dental Hygienist Caleigh is a native San Diegan, who began her career as a registered dental assistant in 2011 and fell in love with the field of dentistry. To advance within her profession, she qualified for the Dental Hygiene program at Concorde Career College San Diego and graduated in 2017 with honors she was a favorite among her instructors and classmates. Caleighs hobbies include cycling, dancing and spending time with her husband and two sons. Patients often compliment her on her gentle touch and appreciate her thorough cleanings.

Nataliya Registered Dental Hygienist Nataliya was born and raised in Ternopil, Ukraine. She came to San Diego when she was 11. Her passion for dentistry grew right out of high school. She became a registered dental assistant in 2011, and in 2018, she furthered her career goals by attending Concorde Career College to become a registered dental hygienist. Her dental philosophy is to create a positive and friendly environment to make her patients as comfortable as possible while shes at their side. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, going to the beach and playing tennis. She loves traveling back home and exploring new places.

Vanessa Registered Dental Assistant Extended Functions Vanessa has been a part of the CDA team since 2015. She completed dental assistant training at Pima Medical Institute, and with the help of Dr. Chotiner and staff, was able to acquire her RDA license in March of 2016. She loves being a part of a state-of-the-art dental office that provides great quality care to patients. As a San Diego native, she enjoys exploring the city and spending quality time with her family.

Nicole Registered Dental Assistant Nicole first fell in love with the art of dentistry as an Invisalign patient in high school. Inspired by the transformation of her own smile, she knew she wanted to be a part of providing that feeling to others. She completed Grossmont College Dental Assistant training in 2012. Her passion continues to grow as she keeps up with the newest dental technology and is able to provide exceptional patient care. Outside of the office, Nicole loves spending time with family, friends and her two fur babies.

Jen Registered Dental Assistant She enjoys spending time with her family, snowboarding and hanging out at the beach. She has worked in a few dental practices in her career and loves working with Dr. Chotiner because of the high-quality dental care he provides and the cutting-edge environment at Coastal Dental Arts.
