Dr. Tomkoria is a diplomate of the American board of Endodontics who received her predoctoral training in Biology at the University of California in Irvine and later added additional studies in business at Pepperdine University in Malibu. She subsequently graduated from Columbia University School of Dentistry in 2000, with her degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery.
After graduating from Dental School, Dr. Tomkoria went though a General Practice residency with University of Southern California/Los Angeles County Medical Center and worked with a number of non-profit community outreach programs in Los Angeles including the Union Rescue Mission. In 2001, Dr. Tomkoria moved to the private sector and practiced as a general dentist. During this time, she continued providing assistance to the under served.
In 2008, Dr. Tomkoria returned to USC as a resident Endodontist in the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry where she trained under the tutelage of endodontic founding fathers Dr. Wayne Bemis and Dr. James Simon. During this time, she provided key Endodontic research as well as published papers in endodontic journals with canal irrigation techniques, as well as tooth morphology / anatomy. She was also involved in research related to bone grafting. During this time, Dr. Tomkoria received her permit in Conscious Sedation under Dr. Stanley Malamed to better serve apprehensive patients.
She is a professional member of various local and national dental organizations which include the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Harbor Dental Society, and Orange County Society of Women Dentists. She is also a member of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology as well as the California Society of Dental Anesthesiology. Dr. Tomkoria continues to be involved withUniversity of Southern California as a part-time faculty member in the Advanced EndodonticsDepartment.
On a personal note, Dr. Tomkoria (Anita) is the loving wife and mother of four children Kaylie, Cameron, Caiden and Conner. Anita enjoys jogging, walks on the beach and Gwertzmeiner Wine while watching the sun set.

I had the best experience at Orange Micro Endodontics. I was made to feel comfortable, my treatment and responsibilities were adequately explained and easy to understand. Mytreatment was of the highest quality. I much appreciate the precision, detail, and care that Dr. Tomkoria puts into her work.

Support staff in the dark. Dr. Tomkoria was defensive and rude. She snapped at me for asking for clarification on billing. I walked out.

Horrible. Was referred there for a specific tooth. And she worked on the one next to it. She then told me if the tooth I originally complained about still hurts then I know what I need (meaning root canal). 2 weeks later when I go back to tell her tooth that has been bothering me since day one still hurts. She then tried to say I need a night guard! Not a root canal. (now she is telling me 2 different things.) She then continued to what I feel lie and put words in my mouth. She said when she examined my muscles in my jaw I've complained about pain! Lol total lie. I have never complained about that. Very upset and disappointed. Unbelievable!!! She was kinda defensive and argumentative last time I talked to her in person. I will never go to her again. Now I'm starting from the begginging. Still in pain my tooth wasn't fixed. Looking for a new specialist.

Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The office is clean and quiet. Dr Tomkoria was excellent and had gentle hands. No pain at all. I would choose Dr Tomkoria again for future root canals. I have no complaints. Up front and honest about entire process and what to expect.

Out of all the dentists I have seen in over 40 years she rates with my top 3 dentists. As a general practice she was the best. A pain free experience every time. She since is now an Endodontist and even for that I have seen her a several times and it has always been a great experience and pain free with the few root canals she has performed on me and even my wife has seen her. For me she is definitely out of my way to see as I have to drive over an hour typically but for a flawless dental work it is well worth any drive i need to take. I would without any reservation recommend her and her staff to anyone.

Dr. Tomkoria is amazing! She did a painfree root canal on me and her and her staff were so friendly!
