TAMPA, Fla. (October 13, 2020) Coast Dental & Orthodontics is notifying patients about a data theft investigation. The information stolen involves certain patients who received care at the Coast Dental offices in Conyers and North Druid Hills in Georgia.
During the night of August 6, 2020 into August 7, 2020, a locked moving truck containing equipment and patient records was stolen from a parking lot in Atlanta, Georgia. The police recovered the truck on or about August 8, 2020 and the truck was secured by the police and placed in an impound lot. Coast Dental placed a lock on the truck while it was in the secured impound lot until the truck could be moved from impound. On August 25, 2020, Coast Dental recovered access and possession of the truck and the items inside the truck. Coast Dental secured the contents and transferred the property to its facility in Florida. From approximately August 26 through August 28, 2020, the contents were inventoried, and upon a full investigation, it was discovered that among other equipment and property, approximately 1,700 patient records containing patient information were compromised or missing.
In an abundance of caution, on October 13, 2020, Coast started mailing letters to affected patients, notifying them of this incident and also offering access to credit monitoring services at no cost to those whose social security numbers may have been compromised. Patients whose information was involved are advised to follow the instructions in the letter to protect their data.
Patients who believe they may be affected by this incident may call (855) 252-2731 Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., and Saturday - Sunday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST., excluding major U.S. holidays.
Coast Dental is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of patient information. In response to the incident, Coast Dental has provided additional education to its workforce members and refined processes to better secure patient information.

I can't stress enough how bad this office is it's super dirty and everybody is rude they never work and they're never answer the phone or call you back where is the dental office ever I have insurance and they try to cause $900 for a gingivitis treatment ridiculous do not go go to first care dental they will work with you

No human should take there teeth to this office on Tennessee Street, go to another one please but, you can take your dog there... One of the receptionist was so rude, they are unprofessional, they messed my tooth up and keep posting me around, the manager won't even talk to me, several calls and visit to that office and up till now no one has the cutesy of returning my calls or visit, paid all that money for nothing and I have to go pay more elsewhere to fix it, terrible place don't go there my tooth still hurt, they lie alot to make you pay guys, he who have ears, let him hear. If theres 0 star that's what I would give, they don't deserve even one star

They were very nice! They Explained the Procedures that were going to be Done. I Absolutely hate x-rays, but they were chill about n were easy n understanding! The Deep Claning wasn't a Favorite either lol but Temieka did a Great job n I Highly Recommend them! They have Payment options too if ur Approved by Sunbit Installment Plan Financial help program! Going bk in two weeks to have the other side Deep Cleaned. YAAAYY!! I had to get Trays made to Keep my Peridontal Disease under control & to Hopefully Keep from Progressing with receeding gums

Worse place I have been to. I came in for a cleaning and called ahead to see what didn't covered by my insurance and they told me it was covered and that nothing needed to be payed out of my pocket. Well they were wrong after that cleaning I left with a BIG BILL and they claimed they didn't say that and I didn't call. STAY AWAY! Coast Dental don't bother leaving a comment on this post you didn't care for my concern then so I don't need your concern now.

Horrible experience. Waited months for an appointment. Was never told they do NOT have a dentist. I called the day before to confirm BUT they did not answer the phone and their voicemail box was full! Unbelievably lousy customer service!
