TAMPA, Fla. (October 13, 2020) Coast Dental & Orthodontics is notifying patients about a data theft investigation. The information stolen involves certain patients who received care at the Coast Dental offices in Conyers and North Druid Hills in Georgia.
During the night of August 6, 2020 into August 7, 2020, a locked moving truck containing equipment and patient records was stolen from a parking lot in Atlanta, Georgia. The police recovered the truck on or about August 8, 2020 and the truck was secured by the police and placed in an impound lot. Coast Dental placed a lock on the truck while it was in the secured impound lot until the truck could be moved from impound. On August 25, 2020, Coast Dental recovered access and possession of the truck and the items inside the truck. Coast Dental secured the contents and transferred the property to its facility in Florida. From approximately August 26 through August 28, 2020, the contents were inventoried, and upon a full investigation, it was discovered that among other equipment and property, approximately 1,700 patient records containing patient information were compromised or missing.
In an abundance of caution, on October 13, 2020, Coast started mailing letters to affected patients, notifying them of this incident and also offering access to credit monitoring services at no cost to those whose social security numbers may have been compromised. Patients whose information was involved are advised to follow the instructions in the letter to protect their data.
Patients who believe they may be affected by this incident may call (855) 252-2731 Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., and Saturday - Sunday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST., excluding major U.S. holidays.
Coast Dental is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of patient information. In response to the incident, Coast Dental has provided additional education to its workforce members and refined processes to better secure patient information.

Stop!!! Do not go here it's a scam there's not even a dentist working there, did X-rays on pregnant girl friend made her do the deep gum cleaning witch was very painful couldn't eat for days try'd to make her buy there expensive toothpaste and will not stop charging her and her insurance she went in for a teeth cleaning and it's been hell now we're seeing reviews of all the same stuff

I took my daughter in, she was getting dentures, I was charged $1300 for the impressions etc. We had an appointment today, thought they would do the extraction s and we were in the office over 20 minutes before they said the dentist wasn't in. They said they tried c alling and couldn't get my daughter. They gave a wrong number for her although they have texted and even emailed her before. She is in pain and now they said we have to wait until October for the next appointment. They have us kidnapped now with the money paid out and they are so rude. They said the process was 3 weeks to get the extractions and a few months after for fittings. Now its months before extractions, my daughter is in pain and we are being manipulated awfully..Very upsetting and sorry to have gotten involved with Coast.

The staff and Dr. Gordon are awesome. They are sincerely kind. That is what keeps me coming back. My only displeasure is the waiting in the lobby. Why schedule patients at 8:30am to keep them waiting in the lobby for 20 plus minutes while the staff has a meeting? I would recommend starting your staff meeting earlier or scheduling your patients to come in later. I've never been late for an appointment, but I wonder what the consequence would be if I showed up 20+ minutes late. Time is important--that is my feedback.

Dr. Gordon and the entire team at Coast Dental Palm Coast are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!! I was petrified of the dentist due to past issues, and Dr. Gordon and team made me comfortable, took care of my issues, came up with the perfect care plan for me, and every single time I have been back for additional work, or anything else, the office has been on point. Everyone is fabulous here and I highly recommend Dr. Gordon and his team. Thank you for giving my smile back :)

This office is a joke. They do X-rays without checking if your insurance will cover them. I had a bad feeling when I seen that the place looked old and out dated when they leaned me back in the chair. The cabinets looked as if they needed to be replaced 2 decades ago. The over head light had a bolt that was about to fall out. The dentist came in probed around my mouth. She claimed I need a deep cleaning with 2 sessions along with some special toothpaste. I explained to her that I was at a different dentist off 7 months ago and there was no mention of the required procedure. Her only response was they must have over looked it. Now the nurse gives me the quote of $650 with a breakdown of what my insurance will cover. I was very disturbed now they run this clown show. I'm sure they are rolling a lot of people over the coles for on needed treatments.
