I was born in 1964 in Saigon, Viet Nam, the seventh child of nine siblings. My family was left behind in Viet Nam after the communist took over the country and lost all our fortunes including our own home. In July 1982, after 7 years of struggling to escape the country, my family immigrated to Belgium as refugees. By September 1982, I successfully passed the entrance exam for Medical School and matriculated at the University of Notre Dame De La Paix, School of Medicine in Namur, Belgium. After the second year of my medical studies, my father had decided to move again to California in the USA. Knowing no English, I had to start all over again with my academic program. In California, I attended UCLA and graduated with a BS in Chemistry in 1989. I then went on to attend the prestigious Ivy League University of Pennsylvania Dental School and graduated in 1993. After graduation I attended the post-Doctoral program at The United States Dental Institute for training in Orthodontics and The Loma Linda University for training in Dental Implant. I successfully passed all the rigorous required exams and became an Associate Fellow of The American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Over the last two decades, I have pursued a career in Dentistry with an emphasis on Esthetic, Orthodontics, and Implant Dentistry. At the same time, I have built a successful practice in Orange County, our practice has been serving hundreds of patients and are known in the community for providing excellent and quality care. I also serve as a board member of VPASC Foundation from 2010 to present where we create programs to serve the local community, including organizing health fair every year to treat and advise patients for their medical and dental needs. I am also an advisor for MEMO student group where we visit the third world country to serve the less fortunate people for their much-needed health and dental care. I live in Orange County with my wife, we have three children. My wife is a Gastroenterologist at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. My eldest daughter is a medical resident in training for Ophthalmology at The University of Houston in Houston, Texas. My second son is a medical student at Tuft School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and my youngest daughter is attending college and an avid equestrian. My hobbies include traveling, singing and playing tennis.

Not completely honest in their dealings with patients. I would shop around and check out reviews carefully.

Everything they promised it's TRUE. No problems, no issues and very little pain. Dr. Le is an awesome dentist. I found out he is a fellow member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, he obviously knows what he is doing. Call Pao and Valerie to schedule an appointment. When I came in I was skeptical about it, due to my previous experience with other dentists. But they were more than what inspected! Cant wait to refer my family to come see them.

I love visiting this dental practice because from the minute I step in to the moment I walk out, the entire staff makes me feel welcomed. Pahola, who runs the front desk, is lovely. She always makes sure I am seeing on time and makes the check in and check out process accurate and easy to follow. Dr. Thankachen is such a professional and is always happy to answer any questions. Dental hygiene is important to me as well as great customer service, which is why I continue to visit this practice.

I have been going to Coast Dental&Implant Center since the beginning of the year. I have been putting off getting a few Implants that I have needed for some years. I wish I would have known Dr Le and his team years ago. They are the most amazing professionals you will ever deal with. Starting from Paola at the front desk. Your always greeted By your name and offered something to drink. Once you have been examined by the Dr she will explain step by step the entire process and the time frame. You will always get a call from her or Valeria days before to remind you of your appointment. When Dr Le starts his work he is like a magician and he will do it with as little pain as can be expected. Because I expected to miss work and that was not the case. Before you know it he's done and you will be amazed at the great work he does. Also the girls that help him Alejandra and Valeria are awesome. I would recommend him to all my friends or anyone else. Guaranteed you will be happy. Thank You again Dr Lee and your awesome Team

My entire experience with Coast Dental has been great. The entire team has been incredibly helpful and supportive. Pahola and Valerie in the front were always welcoming and always helped to schedule (and reschedule) appointments around my work schedule. Alejandra (Alex) was extremely helpful and worked closely with me along my treatment. She always gave me attentive care and useful tips along the process. Dr. Le himself was great and really did an amazing job with my two implants. I'm very happy with how they turned out. I think he should also be a comedian after his day job!! The whole implant process took about 5 months from start to finish. My situation wasn't the easiest as well since I didn't have the most amount of space to work with for my implants, but Dr. Le and Alex made it happen. The recovery phase was smooth for the most part. The only issue I experienced was a minor infection due to a loose screw which caused food to get stuck in the implant site. Once we were able to clean it out and re-tighten the screw, the infection went away shortly after. After my implants were fully healed, we took impressions and I got my crowns placed just a couple weeks later. They truly look and feel great. Overall I would definitely recommend Coast Dental & Implant Center for anyone looking for dental implants or routine dental work.

On Feb 1, 2019 - I had my tooth extracted, and bone graph done by a Huntington Beach dentist (no implant experience), and scheduled to go back in 3-4 months for an implant specialist to come to the Huntington Beach office to do the implant. On Feb 21, 2019 - Unexpectedly, I found Dr. Patrick Kha Le of Coast Dental & Implant Center in Corona Del Mar. He gave me a free consultation and X-Ray. This dental office is fully equipped with the highest dentistry's technologies, The CT scan and 3D X-Rays that identify an abscess in the gum and the images of inside the gum from all directions. Bad news, the bone graph was poorly done, has a slope on the gum and insufficient bone at the inner root area. Good news, Dr. Le can re-do the bone graph, by removing the defective bone graph and plant the new bone graph which requires to draw blood from me to mix with the new bone graph. It was done successfully on Feb 26, 2019. Today Mar 13, the stitches been removed, the gum is healed. I have a few more follow-up appointments and be ready for implant in 3 months. -- more update to come.

After my first visit to Dr. Patrick Le office and I have to admit he is one the best dentist I've ever had. Dr. Patrick le is extremely skilled, professional, and really a great person and his staff is fantastic! Everyone is extremely helpful and very informative. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new dentist to come here!

I'm one of those patients who is terrified by thinking about visiting the dentist, Dr. Le and his awesome team were just lovely. Great service, super kind people, really comforting. Thumbs up with the fact that Se habla Espanol, it doesn't get any better than that. Highly recommended.
