TAMPA, Fla. (October 13, 2020) Coast Dental & Orthodontics is notifying patients about a data theft investigation. The information stolen involves certain patients who received care at the Coast Dental offices in Conyers and North Druid Hills in Georgia.
During the night of August 6, 2020 into August 7, 2020, a locked moving truck containing equipment and patient records was stolen from a parking lot in Atlanta, Georgia. The police recovered the truck on or about August 8, 2020 and the truck was secured by the police and placed in an impound lot. Coast Dental placed a lock on the truck while it was in the secured impound lot until the truck could be moved from impound. On August 25, 2020, Coast Dental recovered access and possession of the truck and the items inside the truck. Coast Dental secured the contents and transferred the property to its facility in Florida. From approximately August 26 through August 28, 2020, the contents were inventoried, and upon a full investigation, it was discovered that among other equipment and property, approximately 1,700 patient records containing patient information were compromised or missing.
In an abundance of caution, on October 13, 2020, Coast started mailing letters to affected patients, notifying them of this incident and also offering access to credit monitoring services at no cost to those whose social security numbers may have been compromised. Patients whose information was involved are advised to follow the instructions in the letter to protect their data.
Patients who believe they may be affected by this incident may call (855) 252-2731 Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., and Saturday - Sunday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST., excluding major U.S. holidays.
Coast Dental is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of patient information. In response to the incident, Coast Dental has provided additional education to its workforce members and refined processes to better secure patient information.

Doctor Quinn is awesome, honest and straightforward. I've been to other periodontists who try to sell you on treatments you don't need. I will go to Dr Quinn for all my periodontal needs.

The orthodontist here at this location should not be allowed to operate. The services have been sub-par since Covid. This corporation has left all of the patients without orthodontist care or a orthodontist since Covid started. Dr. Williams finally came back into the office once the restrictions were lifted in the state of Georgia. Patients can only be seen if ever seen whenever the doctor decides to come in to the office. I have never experienced the lack of care from a medical professional that I have experienced at Coast Dental Orthodontist. Dr. Williams should be ashamed of himself for his poor service that he has provided to his patients. He abandoned and left without treatment in braces. Thus should be unethical. I have spoken to several other dentist and orthodontist that can not believe how the patients were abandoned by the dentist and how the company did not have a resolution to this problem. To remove braces put on by another dentist is very expensive that leave us patients in a tough situation. My appointment was canceled multiple times due to Dr. Williams not coming into the office. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to office for orthodontist treatment.

Fayetteville Coast Dental, the staff are good people. Courteous, friendly, and happy group. The service is good and professional. The only negative I have is wait time in the treatment room.

I should have read the reviews. I took off work (unpaid) for an appointment that I received multiple text confirmations for and arrived to find that it was never booked. They were less than friendly about it with side comments and made no attempt to squeeze me in- next available appointment was over a month away.

I would give zero stars if I could. The ortho treated my child ok in the three visits we had until the pandemic hit. He then disappeared and the offered zero alternative ortho or timeline for treatment. When I asked if they were going to extend the treatment calendar on the contract I was told no and that I would have to pay for the extension. After 7 months with no treatment and the offices inability to offer a timeline to get treatment I elected to take my child elsewhere. I then tried for many months to get some kind of refund. Both the local office and the corporate office gave me the run around and I have never gotten any financial recovery for treatment not rendered. I am sure they took advantage of many people in the area and profited greatly during this pandemic. Update 3/18: Called the number as the owner note suggests. Left a message with all the requested information. Weeks and weeks go by and still no contact.

The other reviews are 100% true and sound exactly like my experience. I wouldn't go back here if it was the last orthodontist open. They say they will call you back but never do. They change appointments without notice or cancel completely. Do not waste your time or money with any of the Coast Dental offices
