TAMPA, Fla. (October 13, 2020) Coast Dental & Orthodontics is notifying patients about a data theft investigation. The information stolen involves certain patients who received care at the Coast Dental offices in Conyers and North Druid Hills in Georgia.
During the night of August 6, 2020 into August 7, 2020, a locked moving truck containing equipment and patient records was stolen from a parking lot in Atlanta, Georgia. The police recovered the truck on or about August 8, 2020 and the truck was secured by the police and placed in an impound lot. Coast Dental placed a lock on the truck while it was in the secured impound lot until the truck could be moved from impound. On August 25, 2020, Coast Dental recovered access and possession of the truck and the items inside the truck. Coast Dental secured the contents and transferred the property to its facility in Florida. From approximately August 26 through August 28, 2020, the contents were inventoried, and upon a full investigation, it was discovered that among other equipment and property, approximately 1,700 patient records containing patient information were compromised or missing.
In an abundance of caution, on October 13, 2020, Coast started mailing letters to affected patients, notifying them of this incident and also offering access to credit monitoring services at no cost to those whose social security numbers may have been compromised. Patients whose information was involved are advised to follow the instructions in the letter to protect their data.
Patients who believe they may be affected by this incident may call (855) 252-2731 Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., and Saturday - Sunday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST., excluding major U.S. holidays.
Coast Dental is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of patient information. In response to the incident, Coast Dental has provided additional education to its workforce members and refined processes to better secure patient information.

Not a good experience at this office, it took almost 2 hours (I should have left at that time) for someone to get me from the lobby and then I had to wait another 30 min to get the X-rays and "the cleaning" done. The worst part was the cleaning with Raul who was rushing to get it done, he was not careful and hurt my gums, it felt like he was mad and he was just scratching my teeth, got me all wet because he wasn't careful with the little hose in my mouth. It took him about 5 minutes to do "the cleaning". There was $21 in the trash because I don't think he applied the fluorine right neither. The rest of my family has appointments there in a couple of weeks but I'm canceling so they don't get that bad experience.

Waiting area time after my scheduled appointment was about 15 minutes. I got 3 fillings done and was out of the office in about an hour.

The worst service ever I will never be going back to Coast Dental front desk lady was so rude I was unable to get an appointment right away when I called 2 months ago I finally got in today for the appointments and they tell me after sitting there for an hour that they don't take 3-year-olds well they could have told me that 2 months ago when I made the appointments for both my children I recommend you take your children somewhere else cuz this place is nothing but a joke

Coast dental of Deltona is very professional courteous and kind I highly recommend this office.stay away from Coast dental of orange City, The front office staff and the office manager are very unprofessional. This was not a pleasant experience when I went there several times.I do not recommend this office.

I went to and contacted several dental offices that could provide a temporary denture after having a full mouth extraction and implant placement. I had issues with all other dental offices except coast dental in Deltona. Answered all questions and was able to start the same day with impressions for my dentures. I look forward to doing business with Coast dental in Deltona. Throughout the entire process dentist and staff have been absolutely amazing!

Unbelievable. Had to make an appointment 3 months out as a new patient. I called the day prior to confirm my appointment since they did not contact me in any way. Turns out they cancelled my appointment because there's no doctor on Fridays. What kind of second rate sham operation is this?? I'm definitely going somewhere else.
