Dr. Patel is currently an active member of the American Dental Association. He is committed to continuing education in order to remain current with state-of-the-art technology, procedures and materials in dentistry.
Dr. Patel is from Tazewell, Tennessee, a small town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains on the border of Kentucky and Virginia. He moved to Colorado in November of 2017 and loves it! He has always had a passion and love for animals and has a dog, Ruby, and a leopard gecko, Louie. When he isn't practicing dentistry Dr. Patel enjoys dancing at music festivals and live concerts, going to sporting events, and following his Georgia Bulldogs and Louisville Cardinals. Dr. Patel loves nature, the outdoors and enjoys hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and camping. He has played tennis for 16 years and still plays competitively and also enjoys playing sports recreationally like soccer and basketball. In his free time Dr. Patel loves to draw and paint, enjoy one of his many favorite Netflix shows, visit local breweries, meet new people and experience any new adventure that crosses his path!

Julie was so kind and considerate, she was smart and well educated, Julie also provided quick teaching and education that was easy to understand. Scheduling appointments was easy and fast, the dentist was polite and to the point with what needed to be done. Thank you all for your help!

I had my first appointment at Coal Creek Family Dental yesterday and I am pleased with the care they provided. The staff was very nice and service was great. I was in for a cleaning and everything went very well. I'm scheduled for another cleaning in 6 months.

All of the employees working at this dental office are so nice! It's actually a pleasure to go to the dentist. Julia did an excellent job at explaining the teeth cleaning process using the most up to date equipment! I highly recommend this office to anyone needing a dental office with a Dr. and staff that really care!!! Thank you Julia.

I was overcharged, but when they saw my mention of that in my review, someone contacted me about it immediately and refunded the overcharge. Turns out it was an honest mistake. They've done two crowns for me. Both times the temp crown came off the next day. Both times they got me in right away and gave me a new temp without extra charges.

After my first visit to Coal Creek Family Dental, I was very impressed with them. So I wrote a glowing review. But I have since had several very unpleasant experiences there and want to change my review. The hygienist who I saw three different times (even though I called to request someone different), was horrible. She was scolding, rude, and threatening. She told me that if I didn't start taking better care of my teeth it would affect my baby's birthweight (I was pregnant at the time) among other nasty things. I take good care of my teeth but she felt the need to make me feel bad about my habits and myself. Additionally, I didn't see an actual dentist for three different visits. I was told she had left for the day each of those times but not to worry because she would review my chart and x-rays the next day. Naturally, they still billed my insurance for a dentist exam each of those times. Other more minor things also bothered me like forgetting to put on the fluoride gel but still charging me for it, the receptionist desk not answering when I called two different times and not returning my call when I left a message, etc. Overall, this place has gone downhill. I would recommend not going here for your dental needs.

Dr Patel and his entire staff are amazing! I chipped my tooth on Friday morning and they were able to see me and address the issues within hours. The entire team including Dr Patel took great care of me and my tooth. I so happy to be a patient of Coal Creek Dental. Talk about amazing care and outstanding customer service!!

Everyone was very knowledgeable and worked together as a team to ensure the customer had a good experience. They explained what they were doing and answered any questions I had. Overall they set a high standard when it comes to dental care and I look forward to going there in the future.

I had a dental emergency (broken tooth) and Coal Creek Family Dental was able to see me immediately, even though I was a new patient. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and professional. They clearly explained the procedure and effectively treated me in a timely manner.

I did a lot of research on dental practices in the Boulder County area before settling on Coal Creek Family Dental. I've been seeing Dr. Patel and the many dental technicians I've had the pleasure of knowing since I joined the practice in Spring 2021. They have all been very professional, knowledgable, patient, and kind. Another practice I had started seeing in Boulder county had made me feel pressured to get a mouthguard or other procedures that I didn't think I necessarily needed. And they also were a bit condescending to me about how I was brushing and flossing. Dr. Patel and his team have never made me feel small and have always treated me respectfully, which as a woman of color I definitely appreciate. I also appreciate that his staff masks during the pandemic and wish all patients who patron Coal Creek would do the same, especially parents who have children--it's not great modeling to see parents with unmasked children, especially with a variant that evades vaccines as BA5 and BA2.75 currently do.
