Dr. Don Flanagan recognized a need for compassionate, caring dental providers long ago and after opening his very first orthodontic practice in the 1970's has continued to build the Cloudland Dental Family around these principles. Dr. Flanagan's first general dental practice opened in Hixson in 2001 and was quickly followed by other locations. The Cleveland practice was soon to follow the next year and quickly grew out of its office to the current location on Stuart Road. In 2005, the Crossville practice was established. This office has expanded to triple its original size and is still growing. As the Dental Centers continued to grow, an office was added in Chattanooga on Hwy 58 in 2007 & then Sweetwater in 2008.
In 2008, Dr. Flanagan retired from Orthodontics and has focused his attention to the Dental Centers. The Dental Centers, now known as Cloudland Dental is continuing to impact its communities as they practice dentistry and treat your family, like they are our family!
When Dr. Flanagan fully retired in 2019, Cloudland Dental partnered with North American Dental Group. With this partnership, the Cloudland offices continue bringing you the same services and amazing experiences that were cultivated under Dr. Flanagan's ownership. Plus, all of our friendly team members that you know and love are still here to serve you!

I took my son to this place to have two teeth repaired. Well when he returned the dentist had CUT not just his tongue but cut his lip!!!!! I just wish I could share a pic of this with you out there!! Needless to say they can remove him from their list we will never be back and I want everyone to be aware of this place... it is awful!!!

I have gone to two other dentist offices in the last year and have had bad experiences at both. The experience at Cloudland Dental was great. All of the staff were pleasant and professional and unlike the other Dentist offices I didn't feel like they were pressuring me into getting treatments which were not necessary. I highly recommend Cloudland Dental and we will be returning for our regularly scheduled appointments.

The experience I've had at their office has been awesome. The staff is friendly and will help you get to where you need to. Yes, they don't pressure you in getting unnecessarily treatments.

I had to have my very back tooth extracted, I was convinced I would have to go see an oral surgeon (crown had broken, very little to grab ahold of). Dr Mae did a simple extraction in 15 minutes! Longest part was waiting on "numbing medicine" to take effect!

Fast, friendly care, excellent hygienist is no longer the case. Cloudland Dental is understaffed and overbooked. They're great if you can wait 6 months for a 20 minute appointment for a simple cleaning.

I just want to say, I have been calling and going to multiple dentist offices and cloudland dental was the only one to offer pain relief on my 3 year old. The assistant who was with my son the intire time was AMAZING! I didn't get her name.. but she made our visit great! Thank you

My daughter had a cleaning and check up done. It was a positive experience. They did great with her. I do recommend them. I will let yall know if that changes.

The staff are very friendly and provide patient education in a very effective way. They are very contentious in preventing pain or discomfort. I am happy to recomend them but make your appointment early. They stay very busy.

I really enjoyed my experience at cloudland dental. I have bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist so they explained everything to me as far as what instruments and all. I love the staff at cloudland dental.

I can only give it 3 stars as I actually didn't have any work done. The dentist was very pleasant and referred me to an endodontist in Cookeville as they do not do root canals at Cloudland dental. The young lady that took some x-rays was also extremely nice. The only negative was the young lady at the check-in desk who's manner was not very pleasant or welcoming at all!
