Dr. Don Flanagan recognized a need for compassionate, caring dental providers long ago and after opening his very first orthodontic practice in the 1970's has continued to build the Cloudland Dental Family around these principles. Dr. Flanagan's first general dental practice opened in Hixson in 2001 and was quickly followed by other locations. The Cleveland practice was soon to follow the next year and quickly grew out of its office to the current location on Stuart Road. In 2005, the Crossville practice was established. This office has expanded to triple its original size and is still growing. As the Dental Centers continued to grow, an office was added in Chattanooga on Hwy 58 in 2007 & then Sweetwater in 2008.
In 2008, Dr. Flanagan retired from Orthodontics and has focused his attention to the Dental Centers. The Dental Centers, now known as Cloudland Dental is continuing to impact its communities as they practice dentistry and treat your family, like they are our family!
When Dr. Flanagan fully retired in 2019, Cloudland Dental partnered with North American Dental Group. With this partnership, the Cloudland offices continue bringing you the same services and amazing experiences that were cultivated under Dr. Flanagan's ownership. Plus, all of our friendly team members that you know and love are still here to serve you!

Emmett really like the hygienist that cleaned his teeth this time. She walked him out & she spoke to me. I've been here a few times where this did not happen.

My hygienist Katie is Awesome! A very kind and helpful its people like her that keeps me coming back. I love how she explains about my dental care. I look forward to seeing her every visit. And the staff are also very kind and understanding of my needs. You guys are the best! Thank you for always being there for me and my wife after all these years and years to come. Every one is very friendly and professional. It's a very welcoming place and are ready and willing to help you with anything. I would recommend this place to anyone! One of the ladies said while I was there that she loves the doctors she works with so if they love their job then they will have great attitudes and friendly service. My kind of dentist!

I've used this Dental practice for a few yrs for both hygiene and repair dental work. They consistently run on schedule and don't overbook like a lot of offices. The staff is courteous, explaining what they're doing and why. Questions are welcome. They offer a variety of services but I've never felt I was being sold something that was better for the business than for me. I would recommend this practice to my family or friends.

I'm an avid dental fan! This office has some of the best hygienists and dentists I've ever had the pleasure to visit. The hygienists give thorough cleanings to prevent further gum recession and future cavities. My crown sits perfectly in my mouth without any discomfort. I highly recommend this Dental office.

The hygienist was very understanding and excellent with my son, who has sensory issues! She was actually able to get X-rays of his mouth! She also thoroughly cleaned his teeth and he was actually relaxed by the time she finished! The dentist was also very thorough, gentle and understanding. The receptionist was also very knowledgeable and helpful! My son had a very favorable experience at his appointment which is HUGE for him! I am VERY PLEASED with Cloudland Dental!!!

They are not equipped to deal with peoples disabilities. Once they found out I had PTSD at any slight sign I may be going into a episode, even a mild episode, they deemed me a liability and would not see me anymore. As well as they set me up to become a liability in the first place as I had told them I would not see a male dentist and they set me up with a male dentist. I also told in them first place there were precautions I took to keep me from having an attack and during that visit they were trying to prevent me from having those. Then accused me and my fiance of doing things we did not do and sent us out of there knowing I have become antibiotic resistant and my gums are extended a half inch on each side.

Nice, clean facility. Also, the staff here is super nice and accommodating! Very professional and they really care about their patients. If you need a dentist, don't hesitate to give them a try!

for the second time today they have messed up my appointment. They text the wrong time, and even the wrong day this time. We had to waste gas and drive 40 minutes just for the staff to look at us like we're stupid saying "your appointment is in 2 days". Incredibly rude, the care is nice but the front desk is so rude.
