Dr. Mike grew up here on Portlands West side. He attended Jesuit High School and the University of Portland for his dental education. He attended The Creighton University School of Dentistry, and received his D.D.S. degree in 2003. He has a passion for cosmetic and implant dentistry, as well as Invisalign treatment. Dr. Mike loves caring for, and getting to know his patients.
Dr. Mike has been married to his lovely wife, Megan, for 4 years. Together they have a 3 year old son named Avery Joseph, a 1 year daughter named Eliana Marie and a sweet Australian Shepard named Grace. For fun they enjoy traveling, hiking, snowshoeing, and spending time with family. Dr. Mike also enjoys playing and writing music, and can occasionally be seen playing with friends around town.
Dr. Waterman grew up in Northern California. She moved to Oregon in 2000 to attend OHSU where she started her career in the dental field as a hygienist. Dr. Waterman practiced dental hygiene for four years before going back to dental school where she received her dental degree in 2010 from OHSU. Dr. Waterman loves helping people achieve the smile theyve always wanted. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, she has had additional training in cosmetics, Invisalign, and sleep apnea. Dr. Waterman is married with two children and has a cute pomeranian named Cooper. She loves to spend time camping, going to the dunes, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. Shes excited to continue to provide care or to give that someone the smile and confidence theyve always wanted.
Lisa has worked as a Hygienist at Cloud Nine Dental since 2012. Lisa has a passion for dentistry and loves serving her patients with gentle and thorough care. She lives in Sherwood with her husband and their two daughters. Lisa enjoys yoga and trips to the coast with their black lab, Dodger.
Megan is ecstatic to be joining our talented team! She brings with her over 20 years of experience in the dental field! She has her Bachelors of Science degree from Oregon State University and graduated from PCC/s dental hygiene program in 2014. Megan is so passionate about fostering a positive, enjoyable and healthy experience for our patients. When she isnt here in the office, she enjoys taking care of her two children, Avery & Eliana, and her Australian Shepard Grace, as well as with her husband, Dr. Mike!
Kristen graduated from PPCs dental hygiene program in 2015. She has a passion for the dental field and being a Dental Hygienist. She loves to be able to provide excellent care, and a positive experience for all of her wonderful patients at Cloud Nine Dental. Out side of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with family and friends and going on outdoor adventures with her partner and their adorably goofy pit mix, Annie
Jaime started working for Cloud Nine Dental in July 2015. She specializes in marketing and has been a fun addition to our team. She lives in Beaverton with her husband, three boys and finally a girl! She loves DIY and anything in the sun or by a fire, warmth is the key.
Melissa has been in dentistry for 28 years and loves the opportunity to help people on a daily basis. She has a beautiful teenage daughter and a dog named Turnip. In her free time you can find Melissa working out, playing sports, on the water, and spending time with friends and family.
Alyssa is new to the dental industry and her contagious cheerfulness is guaranteed to brighten your day! When she is not in the office, you can find Alyssa riding around Portland on her scooter, tending to her vegetable garden or camping over the weekends with her fiance and 2 dogs.
A special note from Jeri: My life personally and professionally has truly been enriched by being in this practice working with these excellent dentists and with all of you. The time has now come for us to go play with our grand kids and we couldnt be more excited! We will be moving to be closer to all of them in Utah. I will miss you and the wonderful conversations we have had over the years where I have learned so much about you and families and great ideas for life. I wish you all joy and Gods blessings in the years to come. Keep flossing and loving life!
Dr. Ballard & Dr. Griffiths. Dr. Griffiths started this practice over 30 years ago! We still hear these names a lot around our office and are so thankful they started and kept going the culture of excellent patient care. Both doctors are enjoying warmer climates. Dr. Griffiths is loving retirement in Southern Utah, while Dr. Ballard is near his family in Arizona after his Australian adventures.

We moved to Portland recently and needed a new dentist. I tried one but they were disorganized, didn't bother to read the notes sent from my California dentist of 25 years, and the exam by the dentist was perfunctory. So I was very pleased when I got to Cloud Nine Dental (thanks to Google reviews). The place is well organized, follows COVID precautions, the assistants and hygienists are good and know when to ask questions. Both my wife and I retired from careers in medicine and we know that when healthcare workers are not afraid to ask questions when they are unsure, you're dealing with people who care about quality. The dentist was, like everyone else, friendly, but more importantly, she paid attention to details. I needed a cleaning and in the initial exam, they found a tooth with a broken crown. She used state of the art imaging equipment and explained what was needed in appropriate detail. Their referral for a root canal was excellent too (30 min. from start to finish). I returned for my crown yesterday and it fits perfectly (and looks like the rest of the tooth). I feel comfortable recommending this office without reservation.

Dr Waterman is absolutely incredible! She cares about her patients, and is obviously passionate about her work. She looks at the big picture when it comes to dentistry, and doesn't try to use a bandaid to fix a problem that can continue to cause issues long term. I had a wonderful experience with her, and her staff!

Cloud nine does a very good job for typical dental services but failed our family during a dental emergency. My spouse (who was also a patient at Cloud Nine) cracked a tooth on Saturday afternoon. Cloud nine was unavailable all weekend to assist with this dental emergency as they did not set-up the calling service message correctly and we were unable to speak with the dentist. After enduring two days of terrible nerve pain we called Cloud nine first thing Monday morning to get in for emergency care. Cloud nine directed my husband to go to an Endodontist, stating they typically don't deal with cracked teeth - despite their website listing that they do handle Emergencies. My husband visited the Endodontist who said he needed a basic extraction of the tooth and that this would be best handled by Cloud Nine immediately. Still in extreme pain, my husband went back to Cloud Nine to schedule the extraction and was told that Cloud Nine's schedule was full and that he could not been seen until Wednesday - two days later. I certainly understand a full schedule but given that Cloud Nine has always advertised that they take care of patients and take care of dental emergencies making a patient wait two additional days for a basic extraction is unacceptable when dealing with extreme pain. Thankfully my husband's old dentist was able to fit him in and take care of the extraction that same day. We will not be returning to Cloud Nine nor recommending this dentist in the future.

Every procedure was explained so I understood the need. I was impressed with the great use of a very skilled staff. Melissa chair side assistant graciously check in with me after procedures to make sure my needs were met."WOW" I am so happy I received this referral from another happy Cloud Nine patient. This is the best dental office I have ever visited. All the staff including the front desk staff, the assistants, hygienist, and Dr. Adams are friendly, welcoming, and a delight to be around. I thoroughly enjoy the experience everytime I go in for an appointment which in my experience is rare. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking for a new dentist!

Front office and dental hygienists are super nice. Dr. Adam's is the best. We've been coming here for years. Lots of change in dentists, but the service is roughly the same. Lisa the hygienist and Dr. Adam's are who I recommend.
