All children deserve to have a positive dental experience, and they can have that experience at Clifton Pediatric Dental. Dr. Ari Sugarman, a pediatric dentist in Passaic County, and his staff understand that creating a pleasant environment is necessary for children when they come to the dentist.
Dr. Sugarman received his doctorate in dentistry from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and continued his General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He went on to do advanced training with a pediatric dental residency at Montefiore Medical Center. This afforded him the knowledge necessary to treat a wide range of dental problems in children and adolescents. In addition, Dr. Sugarman was specifically trained to meet the complex dental needs of children with associated medical, emotional or sensory issues.
After spending several years working in a New York health center, the time has finally come for Dr. Sugarman to open up his own private practice in Clifton. He lives in Bergen County with his wife and four children, with whom he loves spending his free time. When it comes to kids of all ages, Clifton Pediatric Dental Care understands the importance of developing healthy habits in order to avoid the dreaded cavity or other dental problems that can be encountered. With great oral care there is no reason your child should end up with dental problems; however, because permanent teeth are more prone to getting cavities, regardless of how well you brush or floss, your child needs to make sure that he or she continues the oral care habits developed at a young age well into the future. When it comes to kids' dentistry in Passaic County, NJ, we have a wealth of information and tips. Here are a few:
Parents should brush preschoolers' teeth after breakfast and before bedtime. By the age of two, your child is ready to start flossing. When visiting the dentist, make it a positive experience and instill the notion that this is a fun and happy trip!
Continue supervising brushing until the age of 7 or 8. Supervise your child's flossing until they are 10 years old. Visit the dentist every six months. Get sealants put on your child's teeth. We absolutely love Dr. Sugarman and the entire staff at Clifton Pediatric Dental Care. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The dental techs/assistants are amazing and so good with the kids. Dr. Sugarman is so sweet, kind, calming, wonderful and very careful to calmly and clearly explain things so that everyone knows exactly what's going on. Our son (now six) has been coming here since his first appointment as a toddler, and we are so happy we found this office and amazing group of people.

Dr. Sugarman is an amazing dentist. His expertise is top notch. His bedside manner is phenomenal. He has a very soothing and calming affect when he speaks. His staff is also very accommodating. He was fully booked and we had to get our son in and he personally got on the phone and manipulated his schedule to allow us to come in. He fixed the problem immediately. He is very kind, warm hearted, intelligent and everyone raves about his skilled expertise in pediatric dentistry. I highly recommend him and his staff.

My toddler loves Dr. Sugarman and his staff! So much so that he walks in and sit on the dental chair on his own, even for procedures. The overhead television helps! The place is also super clean and they are all nice! Very highly recommended!

He has great personality , he's great with kids and he's very understanding with the kids. He's a great Doctor I will recommend him to any parent.
