One of the main goals of our practice is to give our patients what they want. Its that simple. Listening without judgement is the most important thing that we can do to find out what you want. Once we achieve the level of care you desire, we use education to promote higher levels. Everyone is unique and not interested in the same level of health, so a cookie-cutter approach makes no sense to us.

Dr. Compton believes that all dentists are Cosmetic Dentists and attempt to create beautiful smiles. It is true that some dentists have more artistic ability than others, but we all strive to do our prettiest work possible. We have done a smile makeover on one of our staff, and invite you to stop by and take a look at her beautiful smile. Then you can accurately judge our abilities in dentistry in Concord, NC.

Dr. Compton has completed many advanced courses on the cosmetic aspect of dentistry over the years. The materials are always changing, but that makes dentistry exciting. He has noticed that many fellow Concord dentists attending the cosmetic courses with him would greatly benefit from the treatment they are learning and recommending, but dont do it on themselves. That is like owning a Mercedes dealership and driving a Kia. Dr. Compton has had a smile makeover and considers the investment one of his best ever. We call this practicing what we preach.

One of the challenging aspects of dental practice is infection control. Once again, we welcome you to visit and tour our infection control room. We employ Total Medical Compliance to assist us in this area. They come and observe us in action and continually train us in infection control. It is comforting to receive high marks from them as they are on top of their game.

We strive to gain lifetime patients. We have many patients that have supported us for over 30 years. Weve enjoyed watching young patients grow up, get married, and then bring their children to us. Nothing is more satisfying. When a parent is coming for a routine cleaning, we suggest they bring their young ones along to observe. Then the kids get to know us and this makes the transition for their own visits very smooth. And yes, if children do need some dental work, we allow Mommy in the room too.

Nearly 40 years of professional experience is what you will benefit from when visiting the office of Clifford C. Compton III, DDS, PA. As your reliable, patient-focused dentist in Concord, NC, for all your dental care needs, Dr. Compron gives patients access to convenient, affordable dental technology. Here are some of the services our team offers:

We are your local dentist in South Concord, NCand look forward to working with you to solve your oral health concerns. Our practice has been serving patients in South Concord, NC, and other nearby areas in North Carolina since 1974. The forty years of experience under our belt is testament to our stability, expertise in, and commitment to the practice.

Leading our practice is veteran practitioner, Dr. Clifford Compton, who many know and trust. Aided by his excellent staff consisting of office managers, hygienists, and assistants, Dr. Compton is able to deliver the highest level of dental care to all patients. It also helps that majority of his staff are talented professionals he has worked with for more than ten years.

Our practice welcomes patients of all ages, but we also have a particularly soft spot for children. It comes as no surprise that most parents in the area entrust their kids oral health to us. We know and understand the unique needs of kids and teach them to care of their teeth early on. This prevents the onset of any problems and keeps their dental health in check.

Dr. Compton loves dentistry and cannot imagine ever retiring. He believes that dentistry is his lifes work and something he should continually work at, a philosophy that is unique among dentists in Concord, NC. For him, the challenge of learning all the innovations in dentistry keeps the profession exciting and fresh. Each of Dr. Comptons winters is spent participating in numerous continuing education courses, which greatly exceed the number of hours required by the state.

Many of Dr. Comptons patients have been coming to him for years because they value quality service. Their loyalty is a result of an overall great experience each time they visit. Many patrons consider Dr. Compton one of the best dentists in Concord, NC.

Children, on the other hand, know Dr. Compton differently. To them, he is the magic dentist who performs special tricks and often makes them laugh. His antics are, of course, just a way to impart the values of proper oral hygiene to his young patients.

When not working to improve peoples oral health as a Concord, NC Dentist, Dr. Compton enjoys an active lifestyle by wakeboarding and snowboarding with his family. He is addicted to golf and fishing. It is suspected that he may have a weakness for cars also.

On the spiritual side, Dr. Compton would like to quote his dental mentor, Dr. Peter E. Dawson., To my Godthe architect of the masticatory (dental) system. The more I understand the logic behind its beautifully integrated design, the more I realize its every element was planned by a loving creator. The words of affection we speak, the smiles we share, the songs we sing, and the kisses we give to our loved ones are possible only because an element of love was integrated into this design.

Dr. Compton and his staff are the best! I have been a patient there for 45 years and would not change dentists for any amount of money. They are courteous and professional. People do not like to go to the dentist but I have never had any bad experiences, they are the BEST!

Dr. Compton is the best dentist in Concord, period. He's got decades of experience. I've been going to him since I was young. This man can trap wild animals while he's taking care of your filings and have you out the door in 20 minutes. No BS!! He's that good!! And. your teeth will look amazing after he's done!

Being new to town i wanted to find a competent and trustworthy Dental office. Through my insurance I found Dr. Cliff the Third's office. A great decision. The staff was kind, friendly, and quick, but it was the details for me. The waiting room is adorable with these mid century modern chairs I was a little obsessed with. I know what you are thinking? What does the waiting room design have to do with how they clean your teeth? Anticipation for a teeth cleaning or a filling can cause a lot of anxiety. The drilling and the scraping, may give hi-bee jee-bees. Especially if you are a millennial adult that thinks because you have good brushing and flossing habits and you can skip the dentist for 4-6 years. But i digress. The waiting room was cozy and calming. My hygienist immediately put me at ease. I can't remember their name but we connected over several things and it made the time go by really quickly. Communication was stellar. My teeth needed some love since I'd opted out of cleanings for so long and they did a fantastic job. The experience was painless. Dr. Cliff (he did not ask me to call him this, but this is how i refer to him) had great energy. He gives off a chill but confident vibe that can only come from years of experience. He was gentle, funny and reassuring that a quick filling would be easy. It was easy. After the first appointment, I left my insurance card and they sent it to me in mail. Such a lovely customer service gesture! I would definitely recommend adding the Nitrous Oxide to your dental restoration. As a highly anxious person, it made it almost fun. I chose the orange flavor and it was refreshing like Sunkist. TL;DR: Highly Recommend. Kind, prompt, and good communicators

was so pleased with my cleaning by Miss Tammy. She was so informative about what she was doing and suggestions about how I could brush to help reach my problem areas. She even bent the toothbrush and demonstrated how I could reach those areas. I love the knowledge Tammy shared that would help me. She is so sweet and thorough and personable. She is a keeper!

I can not speak highly enough about Dr Compton and his staff! They are wonderful! I have huge anxiety over going to the dentist due to bad experiences in the past, so I have been putting off going to the dentist for longer than I'd like to admit. When I started having problems with a wisdom tooth I knew I had to do something. I asked around to friends and family who the recommended and Dr Comptons name came up multiple times. So I called and made the appointment over the phone and they were so nice and made me feel like I would be totally taken care of. When I got to the office everyone was super nice and caring. I told them about my anxiety and they told me to not worry I was in good hands. Everything went super smooth! I received the "laughing gas" and then Dr Compton gave me the shots to numb me up and I NEVER felt the shots at all! I didn't even know he had given them to me until after he told me. He then made sure I couldn't feel anything and then with just a few minutes that Horrible Wisdom tooth that was giving me such a hard time Was finally out! I never felt any pain at all! Didn't even know it was out until he said it was over! He is amazing!! I wish I would have known about him years ago! I have now found my new amazing dentist and I am so pleased! Thank you Dr Compton and staff for taking away my fears of dental work! Krystal A

I'm a fill in Hygienist. The morning I was supposed to fill in at his office I woke up to a flat tire. So I was a little late getting to the office. He told me that they happened to book two hygienist that day so that he didn't actually need me to work. Paid me for the day even though he didn't need me to work and told me now I could go get my tire fixed. Was very understanding about my situation. Very nice and generous man! This says a lot about his character and based off of this I would highly recommend him! I'm a single mom so situations like this is an answer to prayer! Thank you again Dr. Compton.
