Often, we neglect our health, ignore warning signs, and put off dealing with problems until they become emergencies, in need of immediate and drastic attention. At Cleona Dental, we remind our patients that the sooner we catch a problem, the easier it is for us to deal with it. If we detect a cavity early enough, for example, treatment might be no more invasive than air abrasion. A trip to the dentist need not be the dreaded experience that it once was. This is especially true at our office, where we go to great effort to create a relaxing atmosphere that will make you feel calm and welcome the moment you walk in the door.
Dr. Davis started her career in dentistry in 1988 as a dental hygienist. After receiving a certificate in dental hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh, she worked as a dental hygienist while pursuing a bachelor of chemistry degree at Lebanon Valley College, where she received numerous awards in organic chemistry and served as a research assistant under the guidance of Dr. Carl T. Wigal, PhD. Dr. Davis has also published in The Journal of Organic Chemistry.
Subsequent to a 10-year career as a dental hygienist, Dr. Davis entered dental school at the University of Pennsylvania. Again, doing research was an important part of her educational process; she received a grant from the National Institutes of Health for work in the area of bone formation. Upon graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Davis joined the practice of Dr. Frederick S. Johnson. Together, they practice a philosophy of comprehensive and esthetic dentistry. In 2007, Dr. Davis bought this practice. In time, the practice became known as Cleona Dental, LLC.
Dr. Davis is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), and an Alumni and Visiting Faculty of The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. She has served on the ADA Committee of the New Dentist and the PDA New Dentist committee. She is the past president of the Fourth District Dental Society.
It all started when a patient asked if she could hold Willow on her lap during a dental visit. Willow did an excellent job keeping the patient calm during the procedure. Dr. Davis decided to enroll her with KPETS to complete professional therapy training so that she could help even more patients. Shes available for petting, playing, or just sitting with you during your dental visit.
Her favorite activities are playing in the mud and getting bellyrubs, and her favorite toy is a pink sock monkey given to her by her uncle Pete. She also likes to hike and hang out with her friends, Oakley, Rebel, Dwight, and Phinn.
Give Kids a Smile Day is an event Cleona Dental started in 2010. Give Kids a Smile Day is usually held in the month of February in honor of Childrens Dental Health Month. This event is held annually at our office.
This special day is meant to help less fortunate children in our community who are not receiving dental care. Thanks to the generosity of our dental team we were able to provide valuable dental services to area children over the last 10 years events at no cost to the child. Services completed included: Exams, Cleanings, Fillings, Extractions, X-rays, Sealants & Root Canals.

I have a feeling the reviews on Google for this office are false. My family and I just moved to the area from Utah. We were very on top of dentist visits in Utah, every six months, and our teeth and gums are in good condition. My husband visited with our dentist in Utah shortly before he moved out here 7 months ago, and our dentist told him his teeth and gums were in good shape and don't let anyone tell him differently. After this office informed that they do not accept our insurance, they said they have a "New Patient" deal for a cleaning, x-rays, and dentist examination for $300. I made the appointments for my husband, my daughter and myself. They barely spent any time cleaning my daughter's teeth. And refused to clean my husband's teeth saying his gums were bleeding, and he needed a "special deep cleaning" treatment. WHAT NONSENSE!!! They were trying to upsell him. They refused to clean his teeth, then charged him the full $300 for the visit. SHADY operators here!!!!

My family and I have been going to Cleona Dental for several years. Every visit we ended up owing money even when they said it was covered. My last straw was my last visit, two associates said my insurance covers everything and I even gave the front desk my insurance card, only to find out, they don't, not even in network....... Routine dental exam came out to be 320$.. I also am disappointed in their quality of work as during this exam they said I needed a new filling on a tooth they filled a little over 1 year ago.. I have been to other dentists in my past and they lasted way longer than that.. in my opinion protocol needs to be changed. Patients need to know if they are out of network and costs. They also should stand by their work and if something doesn't last as long as it's supposed to it should be taken care of out of their expense or at least discounted. Needless to say, we transferred care as they do not offer anything.

I really enjoyed my visit here. They are great at what they do. Super professional and courteous, I also appreciated that they cared about my concerns. My dental assistant Ashley made me feel very comfortable which helped with my dental anxiety; she also took her time and did a thorough cleaning and I couldn't be happier with her! I look forward to going back for a better healthier smile!

I have what I call a challenging set of teeth to work on and I am very pleases with the care and attention to detail that I receive at Cleona dental. I can always expect to get great care that is the best for my dental situation. The staff is very nice and works with my needs. They work with my insurance plan and helped me pick a plan when I retired that was best for me. I highly reccommend them for your dental needs.
