Dr. Michael Clemente grew up in the North East Bronx and attended Hunter College where he received his undergraduate degree in Zoology and Chemistry. He went on to graduate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers), earning a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D). Upon graduation from Dental school, Dr. Clemente entered the United States Air Force and served as a Captain during the Viet Nam Conflict. Following his 2 year commitment in The Air Force, Dr. Clemente earned a certificate degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He started his practice later that year and has been successfully providing braces and treating patients ever since. Dr. Clemente and his wife, Dr. Joanne Clemente, have raised five children: Danielle, Nicole, John, Michael, and Marissa. All three daughters now practice in Orthodontics! In his spare time, Dr. Clemente enjoys travel, architecture, cinema, writing, and boating.

Dr. Nicole Clemente received her Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She later graduated Summa Cum Laude from Howard University, College of Dentistry. While attending the University, Dr. Nicole received numerous academic honors, was granted awards for her orthodontic research, and held a leadership position as vice-president of her class. She went on to complete a comprehensive three-year orthodontic residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Nicole and her husband, Bob Lynch, reside in Ridgewood, NJ with their four sons: Bobby, Jack, Mikey, and James.
Dr. Nicole is a member of the prestigious dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, Tri-State Orthodontic Study Club, Rockland County Dental Association, Nanuet Implant Study Club, Bergen County Dental Association, Ninth District Dental Society, Mid-Atlantic Association of Orthodontists, Hudson River Study Club, and the Ridgewood Valley Study Club.
Dr. Marissa Clemente received her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola College in Maryland with a major in Biology. She spent the next four years at NYU, College of Dentistry earning her Doctorate. Dr. Marissa went on to complete a 12-month Residency Program at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. She received her orthodontic training through the American Orthodontic Society. She has received two of three awards in obtaining Diplomatic status within this organization.
Dr. Marissa is a Cosmetic Dentist with a focus on Orthodontics and Cosmetic Whitening. Dr. Marissa is Invisalign Certified and has attended Numerous Invisalign Summit Conferences in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has had the wonderful opportunity to lecture with her father about orthodontics and braces in Lima, Peru at their dental hospital, Red Asistencial Almenara, their dental school, Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, and their dental society, Asciacion Ateneo de Ortopedia Maxilar; through the Health Volunteer Service (HVO). Dr. Marissa is Dr. Michael Clemente's third daughter to pursue this health profession. She and her husband, Steve Weiss, live in New City, NY, along with their four children: Cami, Ella, Jesse, and Evi.

Nicole Clemente was unable to advise me on what I could do to strengthen my mouth to the point where I would no longer need a retainer. She seemed to not understand my question - she kept answering that I would have to wear retainers for the rest of my life. Just like a surgeon who only knows how to slice and dice, or like a doctor who only knows how to prescribe a pill that you'll need to take for the rest of your life, Nicole Clemente seemed to lack a superior understanding of how the mouth works without orthodontia. Retainers and braces are fine tools for getting results, but at some point I want to get rid of the tool and have a stable, healthy mouth, rather than an inherently unstable mouth that needs to be held in place by gadgets, lest it relapse into an unhealthy state. Nicole Clemente is probably an okay, or fine, or average, orthodontist if you're happy with the prospect of wearing some kind of orthodontics for the rest of your life. I asked for more and she wasn't capable of answering my question, or admitting her lack of understanding. Edit: They mailed me my Invisalign and covered some of the shipping cost.

Today was a Happy & a Sad Day my daughter got her Invisalign retainer so we are down with Clemente Orthopedics ! They have bred the best of the best! Hands down the Staff Rocks! So helpful and caring! And look at the going away gift they gave my daughter. But they will be missed.

Indeed a great experience each time both our girls visit the Clemente Orthodontics. Very friendly staff, very competent people, and a very clean office. They have taken care of an urgent orthodontic issue with my daughter on a Christmas Day. I call that great customer care and service! We thank you for all the good work you do for the residents of Ridgewood.

Clemente Orthodontics is the best of the best! The staff is courteous and relational, they work around your schedule, and you're always in and out in a timely fashion. Even when we moved 2 hours away, we continued to see them and they were always accommodating to our needs. The best part is how FANTASTIC our smiles look after I had Invisilign and my daughter had traditional braces. The family of doctors really gave us stunning smiles, boosting our confidence! Highly recommended!

As a hygienist in a pediatric office, I have contact with a large array of patients in need of orthodontic care. I also see the beginning, middle and end results of orthodontic treatment from a wide variety of offices. With that being said, my first choice for referral of my family, friends and patients are the "Clemente girls and their dad" each and every time. I could bring my children anywhere and my choice was Clemente Orrhodontics. Nothing but the best for my children. I promise.... take my professional opinion on this one... you will thank me that you did!!

This is a few weeks overdue but I have been with Dr.Clemente and his team for about 2.5-3 years for braces. It was a long time but I got the best treatment regardless of the time frame. I always had to cancel and reschedule appointments because of personal issues, but no matter what, they were there and worked around my schedule to make sure I could always have an appointment, even if I was running a few minutes late. I am forever grateful for Dr. Clemente and his staff. Much love
