Dr. Baughman was born and raised in the small town of Lucasville, Ohio. At a young age, he knew that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry because it overlapped with his interest in the arts and sciences, and he had an inherent desire to choose a profession that helps others.
Dr. Baughman attended Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He went on to study Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from dental school, he served as a Captain and Dentist in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Ansbach, Germany for all four years of his service, which is where he met and married his wife, Eva.
A family trip several years ago initially brought Dr. Baughman to Colorado. The natural beauty of all the different landscapes Colorado features left an impression on him. Years later, as Dr. Baughman was separating from the Army, he and Eva decided Northern Colorado was the place for them to settle. Soon after moving from Germany, Dr. Baughman opened Clearwater Dentistry to provide the outstanding, patient-centered clinical care and service he believes patients deserve. Although Dr. Baughman has a passion for dentistry and treating patients, he finds time away from the office with Eva, family members, and friends to hike, bike, snowboard, camp, and explore the natural beauty of Colorado.
Eva was born in Romania, but was raised in Germany. It was there that she met her husband, Dr. Alan Baughman, while he was stationed in Ansbach, Germany during military service in 2016. She had a career in strategy and management for two of Germanys largest grocery and pharmaceutical retailers. Together, they moved to Northern Colorado and opened Clearwater Dentistry in February 2020. Eva helps with operations, patient care coordination, and chair-side dental assisting. She finds immense joy in helping others by providing great care and personalized experience for each patient. In her spare time, she enjoys styling hair, cooking, being outdoors, and art projects.
Michelle was born and raised on Kodiak Island, Alaska until she left to attend college in Idaho, and then finally settled in Colorado in 2012. Michelle always knew she would pursue a career that was focused on helping people, and went on to receive her Dental Hygiene degree from Laramie County Community College in spring of 2018. She worked for several years in Windsor before joining our team recently in November 2021. Michelle, her husband Tally, 2 year old daughter Madeline and their dog Bentley, have recently welcomed a new addition to their family with the birth of their second baby girl Leia in August 2021. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, and a good craft beer. Michelle believes that education is extremely valuable, and enrolls in continuing education courses every year in order to provide her patients with the best evidence-based care.
Shannon was born and raised in Pleasant Grove, UT. She graduated from Colorado Northwestern Community College with her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2014. She has been practicing for 7 years and loves getting to know her patients on a personal level and helping them achieve their oral healthy goals. In her spare time, she is busy with her 5-year old son with another on-the-way. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son in the great outdoors that Colorado has to offer, such as camping, hiking, running, and gardening.
Erika is a Colorado native and has more than 20 years experience in healthcare. She specializes in patient care coordination, insurance and eligibility verification, billing, and providing outstanding personalized customer service. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, jet-skiing, and raising her backyard chickens. Erika is currently pursuing a degree in library sciences.

I'm so glad I found Clearwater Dentistry, Dr. Baughman and his staff are the best. They are beyond friendly and Dr. Baughman is an incredible dentist. He is very gentle, thorough, honest and trustworthy. The office is extremely clean and very modern, and their artwork on the walls is stunning. I highly recommend Clearwater.

I recently moved to Colorado and needed to find a new dentist. I searched google for places with great reviews and came across this newer clinic and made my decision. I am so glad I found Dr. Baughman and his lovely wife, Eva. The facility is gorgeous and all the equipment is top notch, with so many capabilities in-house! They are even able to do a complete crown same day! I had my first, of many, appointments yesterday to fix some things and I was impressed with everything from the staff, the Novocain injections to how they made sure they irritated my TMJ as little as possible. I can't recommend them enough!

When it comes to going to the dentist I'm a mess! Total anxiety! Once I enter the office I was greeted warmly and everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful to calm my nerves. Dr. Baughman was and is amazing! He took the time to walk me through the process and explained everything in great detail. I truly appreciate this and it really helped me feel more comfortable about the process. I would SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND that you go and see for yourself. I waited and put off my my dental care for a long time and I now need a lot of work done and Dr. Baughman is the man for the job! I've been to several others in the area, all I can say is Dr. Baughman is the best he makes you feel good about what your having done and to be honest he talks to you like a friend. Dr. Baugh man is a great person that cares about his patients and wants to help them have a healthy SMILE!

My family has been very pleased with Clearwater Dentistry. We have been going there since 2020. The staff is always very friendly and informative. The office is beautiful. Dr. Baughman is very thorough and knowledgeable. I appreciate his nice bed side manner and willingness to explain everything. Eva and Erika have helped me a ton with insurance issues and we are grateful for their hard work. We would highly recommend them!

Due to some negative past experiences, I had become fearful of finding a new dentist. Then I broke my tooth around Christmas. Suddenly, I was on a frantic search to find someone that I could trust. It was an answer to prayer that I found Dr. Baughman. To my surprise, he suggested a less invasive treatment that saved my tooth! A beautiful crown was quickly made on-site, so a temporary cap wasn't even necessary. The staff is consistently helpful and kind. They researched insurance limits per my request, which helped me make informed decisions based on my treatment plan. Every question was answered to my satisfaction and additional options were thoroughly explained. Sure, the office is gorgeous with TWO flat screen TVs at every station with cable (mounted on the ceiling above and on the walls in front of each chair). I was watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in front as virtual exotic fish were swimming above me. Still, all that means nothing without competence and integrity. Thankfully, I found both at Clearwater Dentistry, and for that I am grateful.

I came the office the day of my visit a little nervous, I have never been a big fan of dentists. Right away I felt at ease dealing with the staff and with the Dr. I have always been ashamed of my teeth due to much staining from coffee, never really smiled much due to it. Dr. Baughman does excellent work! Gave me back my confidence again and now I cannot stop smiling! 10/10 would recommend. Definitely my new family dentist.

This place is immaculate! Super Clean! I wish I would've met these cool cats years ago, from the moment you walk in you're greeted by the receptionist, both ladies were very welcoming and warm. Dr. Baughman is super nice and well educated, his hygienist is also very nice. I'm very anxious when it comes to visiting the dentist but they made me feel like I was at home. Absolutely loved the service provided here. This was my first visit with them, but they were very prompt and professional. I live in Ohio but will be making the trip yearly!

I found Dr. Baughman through my provider after moving to Greeley CO. I was pleasantly surprised by the super bright and modern decor. The staff is always professional, warm, friendly, and engaging. I can actually say I enjoy going to my appointments knowing that interacting with the staff is like being around family whose company you enjoy and appreciate! Dr. Baughman is thorough and explains in detail the proposed plan to get your teeth healthy. I am very skeptical by nature and immediately felt at ease with Dr. Baughman. I've moved over seven times due to my military service. Simply put, Dr. Baughman and his staff are the best team of dental professionals I've had in my entire life!

The experience at this location is phenomenal. My first visit Dr Alan did a detail examination and communicated everything he found. After the exam we made a plan of action on everything that needed to be addressed. Eva has gone above and beyond to work with my insurance and my schedule. I highly recommend Clearwater Dentistry. I am someone who delays dental work and dreads going due to high anxiety. Dr. Baughman and his hygienist, Ava, who is also his wife, have changed how I feel about going to the dentist. They are highly knowledgeable and professional, yet calm, reassuring, and easy to talk to. I have never had my dental health and prognosis explained to me so thoroughly, which was refreshing, realistic, and put me at ease. It was also nice to not experience the usual upsell routine for electric toothbrushes, water flosser, whitening treatments, etc. Thank you, Dr. and Mrs. Baughman, you both are so good at what you do!

Alan and Eva at ClearWater dentistry were amazing!! They were kind, friendly, and super gentle when working on my teeth! This is the best dentist I've been to by far! They made it very clear and simple regarding what needed to be done to my teeth with a treatment plan and the costs associated with them. When getting work done I found it southing rather than painful to be in the dentist chair which is something not a lot of people could say! I would highly recommend going here for any dentistry needs!

Everyone is very friendly and helpful at Clearwater Dentistry! My husband had a lot of tooth pain and had not been to a dentist in years, so he was a bit trepidatious about his first visit. Dr. Baughman made it very easy. He was very gentle and helped resolve the problem with his teeth. Me and my son have had our our first visit recently. I think Eva and Dr. Baughman were very thorough with our cleanings and explanation of the current condition of our teeth. Eva was also helpful with my sons x-rays which made his visit run smoothly. The dental building itself is in a nice location and it was also very clean which was a plus as well. I love going to a small family practice like Clearwater. I would definitely recommend Clearwater Dentistry.

I've had pretty bad experiences with dentists before and Dr. Baughman has very much so made up for it. He (and the entire staff) is kind, thorough, and energetic. I had to come in for multiple appointments and felt well taken care of each time. The environment is very welcoming and I wouldn't recommend anyone else!

I've had the greatest experience at Clearwater Dentistry! From scheduling my appointment with the receptionist Jessica, who went above and beyond to contact me regarding a goof in my insurance a couple of days prior to my appointment. We got it figured out and I still was able to keep my appointment. Jessica made my daughter feel at home and gave my daughter a choice between Hulu or Disney plus. Dr. Baughman and his wife are an awesome team! Very welcoming team and such a beautiful office!
