Dr. Sung grew up in the midwest (Iowa and Michigan) and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. He then followed up his studies at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, which consistently ranks as one of the top dental schools in the world. His parents moved to the Seattle area while he was in school, so when he finished his training he moved to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to family. He instantly fell in love with the area and decided to stick around long term.
Dr. Sung is a big advocate of continuing education to ensure that he provides the best treatment for his patients. Some of the courses hes taken include oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), implants, cosmetics, and invisalign. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Snohomish County Dental Association. He believes in giving back to the community and has gone to many missions trips through his church to places like the Navajo Reservation, Mexico and Guyana, and has also volunteered locally through events like Give Kids a Smile and Childrens day of Dentistry.
When not in the office, Dr. Sung enjoys spending time with his family. Dr. Sung and his wife, Debbie, currently have two little boys named Noah and Jordan. They like to travel, hike, snowboard, and just enjoy the outdoors, which is why they were so drawn to the Pacific Northwest.
For ultimate camouflage, tray or aligner systems offer a modern straightening method. A series of clear plastic trays are made using 3D digital models of your teeth. Medical-grade plastic without wires, metal, springs, or rubber bands gently move your teeth into place. Continuous pressure on specific teeth with each aligner means less discomfort and, in many cases, shortened treatment times. Your provider dispenses several sets of aligners at a time, allowing you to change to a new tray at home every two weeks.
Removable trays can be set aside for short periods allowing for normal eating and cleaning. Enjoying an apple without the intrusion of brackets and wires works well for many patients. And the smooth plastic surface offers a comfort level to the tongue and cheeks unequaled by other forms of straightening.
Committing to consistent wear, at least 22 hours each day, helps ensure the success of your treatment. While clear aligners work extremely well for adults, a responsible teen can be a suitable candidate too.

If you have to go to the dentist, then go to Clearview Dental Center. Teresa, Mary, and of course, Dr. Sung are very professional. Not a bad experience at all.

I am a new patient at this dental office. This feedback is after my first time with them. I was very pleased with their kindness & ability to fit me in for an emergency dental issue. Dr. Sung & his staff were very efficient, considerate and explained all they were going to do, including the cost of the work that needed to follow, so I could make an informed decision w/out billing surprises. This is a first for me. Usually I have to pull the information out of the dental staff. Dr. Sung's work after one appointment, was excellent and their costs are very reasonable-a hard combo to find in dental offices these days. I gave 4 stars since I just started w/this group. I have further appointments scheduled, and if they go the same way, it will be 5 stars from me:-)

I have been going to Clearview Dental Center for a couple of years now. I moved to Snohomish from Seattle, and was spoiled by my extremely excellent dentist in Ballard for decades (other dentists praised his work!). I am so glad to find Dr. Sung and his excellent staff so close to my new home. He is every bit the dentist as my previous dentist, and has a REALLY good hygienist who can clean my significantly recessed teeth with no pain. That is no small feat, trust me! The whole office is relaxed, stress free, and I look forward to seeing them. They are very up-front with billing, just ask if you need a quote. The office equipment is up-to-date high tech, but in a way that aids understanding. If they say you need a particular procedure, they show you exactly what is going on, which I find very reassuring. I highly recommend them and look forward to their ability to take care of my teeth, gums and jaw for many years to come.

I don't write many reviews. I've been to lots of dentists. I'm 40 with soft teeth. I had a root canal, crown and a filling and hadn't been to dentist until before Covid. I also experience high anxiety from the bad dentists I have had. Dr Sung was one of the best dentists I've ever been too. His work was quick, with no pain afterward. Can't get much better then that. Highly recommend this place.

We love our dentist and his staff. Appointments have always been timely, the staff and Doctor friendly, and they do great work. Fortunately, I have not needed much work besides cleaning and a cavity, but when I do, I will not hesitate to let them fix me up.

I've been going to Clearview Dental for years and I couldn't imagine going to a different dentist. Everyone there is so friendly, including Dr. Sung. He always comes and visits with me every time I'm there. He doesn't just ask about my teeth either. He asks how I've been or what plans I have for the holidays. You can tell they actually care there about their clients. The dental assistants are so friendly that I actually look forward to seeing them when I go in for a cleaning since they're so personable and fun to visit with. I grew up in a small town in ND all my life, so I really appreciate someone remembering me every time I come in and people actually taking time to visit with you as a person and not just another client. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.
