I have been a member of the American Association of Orthodontics since 1992 and received the American Association of Orthodontists Scientific Program Award for my participation in orthodontic education and research.

Dr. Vivian Fanmajored in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biology at theUniversity of Rochester, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1996. She completed her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at theUniversity of Pennsylvaniain 2000, and continued on to earn her PhD in Bioengineering atMITin 2006 as part of a joint clinical research program with her post-graduate Orthodontic Residency atHarvard School of Dental Medicine.

With her background in engineering, particularly her graduate thesis at MIT in cellular regeneration around synthetic bone grafts, Dr. Fan has a deep understanding of how basic science research can be translated into technological advances in dental medicine. Even now, as her formal education is complete, Dr. Fan continues to update her knowledge and training, routinely attending continuing education courses and discussions with the Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics. It is Dr. Fans belief that learning is a lifetime process, and she is dedicated to the pursuit of perfection and excellence to better serve her patients.

Dr. Fan is an active member of theAmerican Association of Orthodontists, theAmerican Board of Orthodontics, theAmerican Dental Association, theVirginia Dental Association, and the Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics.

Committed to the betterment of her community, Dr. Fan has volunteered at the Lloyd F Moss Free Clinic, which provides primary health care to those who are unable to pay for private medical care. The office also sponsors local school/community sports teams and extracurricular activities, and donates goods to Richmond charities to help those in need.

After growing up in Pittsburgh and attending school in upstate New York, Dr. Fan settled in the Richmond, VA area with her husband, Kevin, and their two daughters. Skiing is one of Dr. Fans passions, and she enjoyed many memorable ski trips during her years living in New England. Now, she enjoys spending her free time with family and traveling when her schedule allows.

Dr. Tebyanian attended George Mason University and graduated with honors Summa Cum Laude in 2006. He continued to earn his DMD from the prestigious University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2010 and received his MD from Stony Brook School of Medicine in 2013. He completed a 6-year residency at Northwell Health, Northshore-LIJ in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery that included Medicine, General Surgery and Anesthesia. As part of his training, he completed a one-year internship in General surgery at Northshore-LIJ hospital in Long Island NY. Dr. Tebyanian trained in full scope Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with heavy emphasis in Orthognatic and TMJ surgeries. Dr. Tebyanian will be on the attending staff at Prince Georges and Community hospitals.Dr. Tebyanian and his wife, Alexis live locally in Washington D.C. metropolitan area. They are both avid athletes, and enjoy variety of out-door activities such as hiking, biking, and watersports in their spare time.
