Born in Abilene, Texas, Dr. Cole spent his elementary school years in the west Texas town of Snyder. His family moved to Fort Worth, Texas when he was in the sixth grade. Other than college at Baylor University in Waco, National Guard active duty in Fort Knox, Kentucky andBaylor College of Dentistryin Dallas, he has lived in Fort Worth ever since.
Dr. Cole's wife since 1975, Pat B., also a Baylor graduate, works in the office as a massage therapist, seeing patients who need relief from head and neck pain and associated structural issues. She is trained in cranio-sacral techniques as well as many other modalities.
The Cole's have had the great joy to see their two children, Audrey and South, grow up into extraordinary young adults. They feel blessed by their presence in Fort Worth and even more so with four grandchildren. Dr. and Mrs. Cole attend Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth where they are active in a community group and Bible studies.
Dr. Cole strives for the lifestyle he encourages for his patients. He stays fit with kettlebells and some sprinting and continues to study nutrition. He formerlyvolunteered as a team dentist for the athletes at Baylor, and remains innovative in a quest to improve the bodys ability to move, breath, sleep well and thrive.
Professionally, he is a member of theAmerican Dental Association, theTexas Dental Associationsand the Fort Worth District Dental Society. He is a Fellow of theAcademy of General Dentistry, a Fellow and former board member of theAmerican Academy of Craniofacial Pain, a Diplomate of theAmerican Academy of Pain Managementand a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He also has been Board Certified as a Naturopathic Physician. He has been a perennial selection as a Super Dentist by the publishers of Texas Monthly. Dr. Cole has well over 3,500 credit hours of continuing education and continues to learn, teach, write articles and pursue inventive ways to address difficult cases with optimum aesthetics and health.
Dr. Michael Shelby grew up in Lewistown, Montana and comes from a family of dentists. His father is still practicing dentistry in Montana and his brother is a Periodontist. He received his undergraduate in Biology from the University of Montana and received his dental education from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale Florida in 2004. Dr. Shelby practiced dentistry in Northern Montana for nearly 10 years where he provided modern dentistry to a large area. In 2013 Dr. Shelby, his wife Kathleen along with their four daughters moved to Texas. Exercise and diet are very important to the Shelby family and they enjoy numerous activities together that promote a healthy body. He is a firm believer in our whole body approach to dentistry and enjoys spending time with each patient educating them on prevention and their treatment options available. Along with being SMART certified through the IAOMT, he is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He truly values a great relationship with his patients and the community. Dr. Shelby continues to stay up with all the new technology and advances in the field of dentistry.
Courtnie has been in dentistry for 15 years and truly enjoys what she does. Her favorite part of her job is caring for patients and being able to impact their lives in a positive way and watch their smile transform. She holds certifications in Nitrous Oxide, Coronal Polishing and is TMJ Certified. She can help you with your financial questions, as well as any dental concerns that you may have. She enjoys spending time with her two children Makayla and Kaden. On the weekends you may find her enjoying the outdoors, going to the movies, bowling or reading a book.
Dr. Cole's wife, Pat, sees babies, children and adults with head, neck and myofascial (chronic facial pain / tightness) issues. She has been a massage therapist since 1997, specializing in craniosacral therapy. She is well versed with neuromuscular, trigger point, lymphatic drainage and myofascial release techniques as well. When she isn't seeing patients, she helps make sure things are running seamlessly. Pat's favorite pastime outside the office is spending time with her four precious grandbabies: reading, playing and especially teaching them about nature. She loves traveling with Dr. Cole in the Cole's Airstream and birding, kayaking, hiking and fishing. Pat is a true environmentalist and is passionate about helping others.
Teri has been working in Dr. Cole's office since January 1998. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) since 1978 and is also a Certified TMJ Assistant (CTA). She has a passion to know the patients as well as their teeth, and she remembers not only your dental health but also the names of your pets and children! She is an excellent educator and health advocate for Clear Fork Dental. Once you have been in Teri's chair it will be evident that she is the resident cowgirl. She loves all things country western! Teri has long been in charge of Clear Fork Dental's prize-winning bulletin boards. Ask to see the photo album displaying the incredible boards from past years or photos of the birthday parties she's designed. On weekends she leads the praise and worship team at her church in Cleburne, Three Nails Cowboy Church, and enjoys rodeos. She lives just outside Cleburne, with a menagerie that includes her dog, shep, one rescue cat, Annie (as in Little Orphan Annie), as well as a mama cat and her five kittens.
Haleigh is our newest hygienist, and our patients absolutely love her! Before pursuing dental hygiene, she worked as a dental assistant in pediatric dentistry and then found her dental home in the general dental field. Her goals as a dental hygienist are to provide the best care for her patient while maintaining their comfort, so that they can look forward to coming in to the office for their dental cleanings. In Haleigh's spare time, she loves to spend time with her son, Reign and her fianc, Kevin. They like to take their dog Dexter on hikes outside, and travel as much as possible with family and friends.
Donna joined are team in 2018, she has worked in dentistry for over ten years. Donna believes in our holistic approach to dentistry and enjoys being able to be a part of patients regaining their confidence. She assists both Dr. Cole and Dr. Shelby with surgical procedures and pediatric frenectomies. Outside of work Donna enjoys being outdoors, reading, art and spending time with her family and friends.
Melissa has been in Dentistry since 2011 and joined our team in 2018. Melissa assists both Dr. Cole and Dr. Shelby in dental procedures and surgeries. She also helps with presenting treatment and going over our daily schedule in our morning huddle. Melissa enjoys getting to meet new people and being able to make them feel better about themselves, one smile at a time. In her spare time she stays busy with her three children. They enjoy spending time outdoors and making memories.
Lindsey is certified in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Swedish, Headache and Pre-Natal massage. She is from south Fort Worth and has been a Massage Therapist since 2008. She loves helping people with chronic pain from old injuries or posture imbalances. Helping the body in the healing process of new injuries or just helping reduce stress and anxiety with a relaxing massage. Her goal as a massage therapist is to help the body's natural healing process in any way, so she can help people feel their best. Her and her fianc Jeff have two children, Cole and Anna. In her spare time she likes to read, loves nature and will continue her education in Bodywork.
