I was born and raised in southern California. I received my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I then went on to pursue my dental degree from Boston University Henry Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2003. After dental school, I further enhanced my education by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Temple University in Philadelphia. Upon completing my residency program in 2004, I decided to return to my hometown of Los Angeles to start my dental career. I initially worked for a dentist with more than 20 years of experience. Motivated to start my own dental practice, I opened my first office in Torrance, California in 2006 and remained there for 5 years.
In 2011, I opened the doors to my second and current practice in Monterey Park, California. This newly remodeled, state-of-the-art dental office provides the latest in dental technology, allowing me to offer current advancements to all of my patients. I am proud to welcome patients to my practice where I am able to provide the best in both patient care and clinical results.
I have received special training in areas of cosmetic dentistry, including Lumineers, Invisalign, Clear Correct and Snap-on-Smile. I am highly experienced in working with young children as early as 18 months of age. I am a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the San Gabriel Dental Society. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I have tripartite membership in the ADA, CDA, and TDIC.
On my down time, you will find me in the outdoors with my husband Tom and corgi Emoji. I also love spending quality time with my friends and family trying out new local eats in the San Gabriel Valley and getting my boba fix.

Everyone was very professional and friendly. Dr. Gabriel explained what she was going to do, looked at my molar, and made her evaluation and suggestions. The office manager explained what the cost would be of my crown replacement, and they were helpful in coordinating getting the preauthorization and booking the appointments. The office is well-run and has friendly and professional staff who genuinely care.

I went in for a routine teeth cleaning, but the dental staff went out of their way to accommodate a much needed deep cleaning and tooth filling. Dr. Quan, her hygienist, assistant and front staff are very efficient, courteous and professional. Covid-19 precautions are in place throughout the office and adhered to by all staff. I felt SAFE being without a mask in this environment. If you have been avoiding going to the dentist due to the pandemic, Dr. Quan has you covered!

Been coming here since my daughter was 5. I know Dr Quan is a general dentist but she is great with kids.Very attentive, reassuring, and conscientious. Anticipates possible dental problems down the road and takes proactive care of them now. 5 star

7/8/22 Dr. Quan herself cleaned my teeth today. I always felt special when the dental hygenist did not come in and Dr. Quan took over. After a little turmoil with the wet scraping and water sucking on the other side of mouth, my teeth felt clean. The office is so clean and pleasant I always try to refer people here. Why would someone want to miss a place like this? Also a lot of digital technology is used here for dental work so the office is very efficient. I think Dr. Quan is behind a lot of the smart processes in this office. 2/22/2021 Here is an update to my first review. During the pandemic Dr. Quan has taken measures to protect her patients and office staff: I noticed a very nice air purifier in the waiting room. There are COVID checks on each patient. The staff is fitted with very cute dental face shields and head coverings which are not always comfortable but necessary. Dr. Quan looked so cute in her gear. My hygenist is also very caring and patient centered. Dr. Quan always double checked after the hygenist' cleaning to make sure the cleaning is perfect. No wonder my teeth has been holding up so well under Dr. Quan's care. If you desire professional treatment with clean environment, this office is for you. Previously: I think we have a very smart dentist here with a lot of good business sense. I am always delighted when Dr. Quan is present to clean my teeth. I know she makes it as painless as possible. But the other hygenist is also very good and painless. I am also happy she is in network dentist. The staff are also very helpful.

Absolutely rude staff answering the phone. When a young person calls to ask questions you shouldn't make them feel stupid, if I knew the answers I wouldn't have called to ask.

My experience with Clear Comfort Dr. Cherine Quan: 1. Dr. Quan with told me to use screw crown, I did and paid around $200 extra myself. However it moved after I came home. I found out the gap of the crown with another tooth is big and piled food residue and got infection. She claimed that nothing wrong? 2. Dr. Quan said that my gum is not healthy, and did Fluoride Varnish to improve and charged me $40? I checked online, Fluoride is for teeth not for gum. I asked her why she told me it was for gum ? 3. Dr. Quan also told me that my two healthy teeth are chipped and need to be fixed. Why she tried to damage my healthy teeth? 4. Her deep cleaning was not a deep clean, she rushed and the plaque was still there. 5. Dr. Quan always asked me to pay out of my pocket and failed to let insurance know the charges as required. 6. She failed to answer my questions since 3/9/2021 till now. This is my declaration, for the safety of public I share my treatments from Dr. Quan on line.

This year, 2022, they are not able to provide the 6-month routine cleaning and exam appointment for our family. The follow up appointment is more than 7 months apart, not because of the holidays. My new crown was still too high after another adjustment appt, ended going somewhere else, out of pocket, with a dentist who had more experience of contact points adjustment. Dr Quon only asked patients to do the quick tapping method during crown height adjustment instead of the chew and grind method. My family member's filling was too high too, not surprised this time.

I love Dr. Quan and her team. She is so friendly and very mindful about my fear of pain. Never used to want to visit the dentist, but at least now, I will come because she's a great dentist. Her staff is courteous, professional, and always make me feel welcome. The environment is clean and updated; everything is brand new. If you have a fear of going to the dentist, this is where you want to go.

My experience with Clear Comfort Dental was a very positive one. After a short wait, my consultation included x-rays, explanation of the x-ray results, and preventive treatment. Follow-up treatment, education, and plan of action was explained very clearly. I found the dentist and support staff to be very professional, courteous and caring.

Consistently great service. The front office staff are always helpful and courteous. Dentists and techs give more than adequate explanations of what they are doing. They show that they care about your health by providing excellent advice and guidance. I appreciate their text messages so you never miss an appointment.
