Dr. Donald Tormey feels that dentistry is unique in that he is able to make a change in a persons life through treatment and see the results almost immediately. The patient enters with a problem or in pain, and in a short time, they leave the office cured and without pain. It is a rewarding transformation for Dr. Tormey to witness.
Dr. Tormeys patients respond very positively to the care they receive and sincerely show their appreciation. Most of them are like family to him, and he has seen generations of families grow up in his practice and has become part of their families attending weddings, graduations, bar mitzvahs and, yes, even funerals.
Dr. Tormey became a dentist because he was strongly influenced by a dentist during his teenage years. This dentist taught Dr. Tormey the importance of being gentle, caring and concerned for each patients welfare.
Dr. Tormey loves his patients; he cannot imagine being without them, and that is why he never intends to retire! It is a profession that keeps changing and improving. New innovations emerge all the time, and he feels it is exciting to be a part of it.
Education & Experience Dr. Tormey graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, an institution at which he also taught part time for 21 years. Since 1964, he has directed the Orange County Dental Academy. This group attends monthly continuing education classes and is the longest-running dental study group in California.
Dr. Tormey is also a member of several professional organizations, one of which is the Academy of General Dentistry. The academy awards dentists for continuing education attendance. He has received fellowship, mastership, and lifelong learning and service awards from the academy. It is an honor to be included in the 1% of dentists who have earned these accolades.
Outside the Office Originally from Burbank, California, Dr. Tormey resides in Yorba Linda with his wife, Carolyn, and their three dogs and three cats. They have been blessed with seven wonderful children, with whom Dr. Tormey loves doing family activities. When time permits, he also enjoys traveling and snow skiing.
Dr. Tormey feels it is important to strengthen and support his community. He contributes time and money to organizations that work to make this a better country, a better world, with faith-filled leaders. This includes:
Michael has been working in dental office administration for over 20 years. His extensive training in dental insurance billing and dental office management keeps our practice running smoothly. His presence at the front desk is one of our offices best assets.
A people person, Michael always makes our patients feel very welcome and at home. His friendly disposition and thoughtful acts of kindness are well known. Insurance, billing, computers, scheduling, staff administration, treatment planning and making patients feel comfortable are some of the many tasks that Michael has mastered.
Michael grew up in Fullerton and lives in Mission Viejo. He is an avid tennis player and accomplished swimmer. When he has time, he really enjoys hiking in the fresh air of the Palm Springs Indian Canyons.
Jill attended the University of Hawaii, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in dental hygiene. She joined our team in July 2020, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in the dental field. Jill is dedicated to giving each individual patient that wow experience in hygiene, and she loves the lasting relationships that she has built with our patients through educating them about optimal oral health.
If you ever have any dental work done in the back office, you will likely get to meet Susi. She is Dr. Tormeys right hand. It would seem by the way Susi works with Dr. T that she is telepathic: She is notorious for handing Dr. T the precise instrument he needs exactly when he needs it.
Susi earned her registered dental assistant expanded function (RDAEF) credentials from UCLA in 2005. She is licensed in the use of ultrasonic technology, radiation, coronal polishing, and intraoral photography.
On the weekends, Susi can often be found doing photo shoots for weddings or family portraits; she has her own side business in photography. In addition to being a professional photographer, Susi is also an avid exercise buff, has a love of travel and is fluent in Spanish as well as English.

Best dentist ever Dr Amina is so nice, so very professional I ve been always so worried to get into a dentist office but when I went there, all her staff were so nice, everything is so organized and hygienic, she is so patient and explains every step before working on my teeth. Very professional I highly recommend her to everyone

I love Dr. Chaudhry! I'm so glad I changed my dental care to her. She is so thorough and patient! I had a new crown placed today and I didn't feel any discomfort at all. She is amazing. Their dental hygienist is also amazing. I would highly recommend her practice to my family and friends!

I love this office the assistant Susi is so sweet very caring makes sure you are aware of what procedure you are going to have done and feel safe and not scared . The other assistant Wendy is sooooo sweet also she fixed my chipped front tooth was very careful very caring did a great job !!! Wow it's crazy how my smile has changed I am so glad I came in and Dr. Chaudhry is a very warm and caring Dr. she is very knowledgeable and makes sure you aren't in pain , tells you step by step what the process will be . I recommend this office completely and Mike makes the office very warm and welcoming. Thank you all !!!

Dr.Chaudhry is so cordial and made my son feel very comfortable during his visit. Erin my hygienist worked really quickly and always asked if I was okay during the procedure. Wendy remembered all my work that needed to be done and helped manage the office at the same time. Highly recommend this office.

From the reception desk to the dentistry, I've always had a pleasant experience at Classic Smiles. Their professionalism and patient care is really the best I've seen, and I've been to multiple offices from the east and west coast. I truly feel at ease when coming to their office, and I'm one who does not like visiting the dentist office! Kudos to Dr. Chaudhry and her team!

No one has more fear of dental procedures than me but I have been a patient of Classic Smiles for 20 years. They are the best. They calm my fears and always make me feel I am in good hands. Dr. Tormey, Dr. Chaudhry and the entire staff are there to make sure you are comfortable I have had multiple issues that needed attention and have found them most competent at fixing my dental needs. They always give me that "It's all about me" feeling. I am completely confident in recommending this office to take care of your dental needs. I love all of them and they will love you back. I am on my second to last tray of Invisilign at Classic Smiles. So far I'm a little worried that I'll need further treatment bc my teeth don't seem quite there yet, but Dr. Chaudhry has made me feel comfortable about that fact throughout the whole process. I believe she is having the treatment too so that helped. All of my three week check-ins are done with Suzi and I'm in and out of there! She's super efficient and has excellent bed side manners. I can't wait to be done done with Invisilign!

I have been going to Classic Smiles Dentistry (Dr. Tormey and Dr. Chaudhry) for 25 years now and have received excellent care. From the time you walk in the front door, you are treated warmly by the friendly professional staff. Michael greets you first and makes sure you are in good hands. The hygienists are very thorough when cleaning your teeth and give you good advice on how to maintain them. Both Dr. Tormey and Dr. Chaudhry, and their assistants, are meticulous in their work and you leave the office knowing that you just received the best dental care available.
